Rivals Challenge - FH5 Edition

I thought the CR-X was the best non civic car you can build for the track but then I came out with a silly integra tune that was faster. That car has incredible turn in that make it very quick on this circuit

Yeah, mine wasn’t great, I gave up on it in the end… thanks for trying though :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey good Rivals people,

I’m in at 1.08.218 for the week, which exceeds my personal expectations so I’m chuffed  in the 74 Civic with Team Fung’s tune in the end. @Smoke5495 your tune was real nice too, but just found the Fung one marginally quicker. I tried the Integra, RS-X, and the Clio too, and enjoyed driving them all dery much indeed but the Civic won out with its power even though it was more unruly to drive than the others.

Odd thing this week too…my finishing time this week is identical to @PentEd1231 . My previous fastest time yesterday was identical to @Jezza14 - as things currently stand…

Thanks for all the tunes provided, cars recommended and a loads of great times really tight together everywhere.

Another fun week, enjoying my first rivals “season”!

Could only get it down to 1:11:975 in Smokes ‘74 tune (after turning on ABS and going automatic vs full manual about a second slower). Could get that down more if I could clean up that second corner but that hard right just gets me.

Tried the ´84 with Ugrundy’s tune but it slid all over and I couldn’t control it cleanly through turns.

CC can be fun.

I’m actually enjoying CC (at least the Estadio and Costa Este) in my Jeep. This might be some of the most fun I’ve had in a Trial in a while. I imagine El Bakam could be more enjoyable if I didn’t have teammates or AI hitting the tree and then backing into me (happened in 2 out of my 4 times that I went to event 3 in the Trial this week).

So, cross country this week then. Let’s go with the Estadio Circuit, using Sport Utility Heroes only in A class.

As a bonus event, let’s also have an endurance rivals course this week. S1 Colossus - anything goes but not the NSX-R GT and Jaguar XJR-15.

There will be a gap after this week, so events open for times up until 10pm BST 24 April.

Think I milked all I can from my '14 Grand Cherokee SRT tune. Jumped in the Defender with a tune by Waznewz. Managed a 55:739 on my first set of rival laps.

Managed a clean time of 55.622 in the Defender on lap 2 of my first Trial in it. Wish clean lap times in events could get registered on the official leaderboard.

Sitting at 51.764 in the LR Defender. The tune is my own, but also try Saeenu’s tune if you try this car. I think it can get down into the 51.2xx range, but I might not be willing to grind it out since the left hander going into the stadium is so critical but also kinda random. Not sure anything else will manage to match the Defender due to disparity in available engine swaps, though I haven’t tried every option.

My results from yesterday:
BWM X6 M 2015 Hlundh “RALLY” 00:55,99
Porshe Cayenne Turbo 2018 Cast Haste “GREAT CC DIRT” 00:54,75
Porshe Cayenne Turbo 2018 urgundy “CROSS COUNTRY” 00:55,28
Land Rover Defender 110 X (M/C) Saeenu “Cross Country V2” 00:54,02
Lamborghini Urus 2019 KapienPL “SOCCER MOM CAR” 00:53,96
Macan Turbo 2019 gumaboss1YT “CC / DIRT” 00:53,77
Macan Turbo 2019 Assault Buick “CC” 00:53,36

Had a rough couple of days but I’ve got the X5 to 52.469.

Hoping I can give the Colossus a go within the next couple of days, don’t want to be trying yet when I don’t think I’ll be able to fully concentrate for that long.

After NUMEROUS attempts for a clean time … FINALLY netted a cautious, but clean time of 16:26.353 on the Colossus in a JumpyArdvarkITA tuned 2021 McLaren 620R. Will see if I have the patience to see what else I feel “confident” in trying

The Noble 400 with ugrundy tune is a pretty easy drive. Its not the fastest tune for the car,but its 4wd and on race tyres,so is quite forgiving. I just did 12.50 on 1st attempt with it .

It’s a long race but imho the only 2 places where it can catch you out (that are not obvious from the minimap) are about 4min,s in when you go over a crest where it will throw you off to the left of the next marker; and also the left curve when you come out of the 2nd tunnel after the big bridge. That 1st one over the crest bugs me cos i haven’t learnt exactly where it is yet,so i’m over cautious until i’m past it

oh,you can gain a couple of seconds at the start too. Press to start ,but then don’t start, reverse a bit and turn around carefully so as not to pick up a marker (if you do,it won’t be cancelled when you do cross the line) then go back down the track a bit to give yourself a run up to the start line. Go too far back and it will throw up a marker too, i go just past the lion painting and then two yellow houses on the right and turn back round. You now have a good run to pick up speed and as you cross the line timer will reset

That sounds like Goliath rather than Colossus PentEd?

If it makes you feel better, I picked the wrong one as well - will try the right one tomorrow or Monday

Plus point,it’s a much better, more interesting course than the Goliath :+1:
Dirty 15.30 as a marker. Couple of the tracks weve done, but in reverse, and most of Decansor? near the end too, saves a bit of learning time.Still in the Noble
