Really, they'd give me a ban for this? A single shunt to a rammer who is ruining the lobby...

I’ve recently bought Forza 7 and have been enjoying racing around in the cycled production hoppers. Same with Forza 7, I’ve encountered an absurd number of rammers. In particular one guy was aiming like a cannonball at anyone trying to take a corner, so I finally lost my patience and punted him off at the end of the 4th race.

Fast forward a few days, and I try to log on to find out I’ve got a 14 day temporary ban. This is completely ridiculous. What I did was nothing more than what I the Forza youtubers like Super GT do from time to time when there is a rammer ruining the lobby. If I’m going to be handed a 14 day ban for giving out a bit of justice to someone ruining the other 23 people’s races, then I’m lost for words…

What’s even more absurd is the fact that I reported the 2 main rammers I came across, yet I can still clearly see that they are playing multiplayer Forza when I scroll over their Xbox profiles. On a side note, to play the Devil’s Advocate, how can they ban me for doing something that isn’t against the rules, in the game I paid for, and mentions nowhere that crashes will result in bans?

Is there any way that I can appeal bans?

Thank you.

FAQ: Why was I banned?

Players may encounter an on-screen message indicating that “Your gamertag is temporarily banned from this feature” in multiplayer, Auction House, etc. The in-game Message Center will show the length of the ban and direct the user to The purpose of the message is to remind players of the Code of Conduct and Terms of Use for both Forza and Xbox Live. A basic rule of thumb is an E for Everyone tone; common ban reasons include intentional wrecking in multiplayer lobbies and inappropriate designs (profanity, drugs, sexual themes including ‘Free Candy’ etc). Repeat offenses may result in a permanent ban.

Players who believe they have been unfairly banned can e-mail for further investigation and review. Include your Xbox Live Gamertag and ban date. Discussion of bans and enforcement issues is not permitted on the forums.
