Hi guys. I need someone to set me in the good direction.
Last Motorsport i played was 4 so im new to tuning in FM6.
I used to have a lot of time, now not so much so here is my question.
I love B,A,S class racing(not hotlapping).
I love my cars more grippy than speed based.
Around what lateral G's and/or handling would i look for in B,A,S?

Thanks in advance!

Well I don't know much about lateral G's but I do know that is the same as handling rating.

B class, a lot of handling would be around 5.7 to 6.0

A class 6.0-6.3

S class 6.5-7.0+

uber understeer. Lateral Gs are related to corning basically the higher the Lateral Gs means that you can corner faster, and more stable without spinning the car out or losing control of the car etc.
So in short Lateral Gs cause faster, and more stable corning.

Get race tires or increase your tread size, what I would do is shorten my main gear just a bit (.5 or 1) or even more. Then go to breaking and increase it and make your tire pressure in the range of 27.5 and 28.5 (what I use for most of my racing)

Im pretty sure this should work for you.

Thanks for the help! But i kinda was looking for handling numbers. For example if im making an a class car and i see halfway that the lateral g's or handling is subpar, then it would save me time building.. Kinda looking for what the min/max handling numbers are..

Ignore it. If you base a car off of this you'll probably miss out on better builds or completely ignore a car.

That's why nobody has a definitive answer. Most of the tuners on here who are good (via top times on the leaderboards) know it's trial and error. There are no short cuts to building cars. There are trends that sometimes occur for similar car-types.

A good example is that I know for lime rock in D class that 5.5 - 5.7 handling is preferred. I have one car that is 4.9 and is a little over .5 seconds slower than my lobby 5.7 handling cars. I win and podium a lot in this car. Thru tuning I was able to make it grip really good. It shouldn't work but it does. Literally no one else uses this car at line rock and I'd venture it's because it's a car that at first glance would do terrible.
