2. General Rules
2.1 Game Chat
All attempts to contact an ForzaRC official must be done through the Gfinity.net Website. We do not take responsibility if attempts made through other channels including support tickets as they are not seen in time to be handled.

2.2 No show
If we are not able to contact the contestant 15 minutes after the start of the next round, the player will be reported as “no show” and the race will commence without the missing player/players. Delays caused by Players that are not ready to compete at the scheduled time may result in a major penalty. If 3 Players are reported as a no show in a round, The 3 remaining players will move up into the next stage of the tournament.

2.3 Forfeit
If a contestant chooses to forfeit a race, they will forfeit the tournament and forfeit any prizes associated with that tournament.

2.4 Disputes
Disputes must be made as soon as possible, or they may be ignored depending on the circumstances. The replay file needs to be provided.

2.5 Decisions
Decisions outside the Rulebook - Admins have the right to decide outside or even against the rulebook in special cases to guarantee fair play.

2.6 Race Etiquette
Race etiquette rules will be enforced in all ForzaRC matches. Intentional damage including, but not limited to;

Ringing
Faking
Pitting
obstruction of other vehicles
ramming
cutting tracks
Breaking any of these rules may result in immediate forfeit of participation and prizing for a period of 12 months. The violation of race etiquette will be at the sole determination of Turn 10 and Gfinity with a valid replay. All players that qualify and race in the broadcasts are not allowed to chat about tournament decisions and tournament intel in the stream chats and other public places.

2.7 Betting
No betting is allowed under any circumstances.

2.8 Unsportsmanlike Behaviour
Any offensive, disrespectful or unsportsmanlike behaviour (including but not limited to insults and physical violence) connected to the event will be punished and can lead to disqualification.

2.9 Changes to the rulebook

2.10 Mandatory registration on Gfinity.net
Every player that takes part in the Forza Racing Championship Season 3 Grand Finals must be registered on the Gfinity.net Platform.

If 4 or more Driver drop out before the cars launched off the start line, the session will be restarted.

3.1.2 Re-host
In a re-hosted race each player has to choose the same settings as they picked at the start of the original race.

3.1.3 Observers
Observers are not allowed. Exception to this rules are GFINITY admins and people that are explicitly allowed to observe by an admin (e.g. shoutcasters or streamer). Under no conditions is it allowed to play with referees other those decided by an admin.

Crashing into a wall
Over or understeer.
2 wheels have to remain in between the white (sometimes yellow) lines defining the track. Curbs are NOT part of the track, so 2 wheels have to be on the tarmac at every time. This does not apply to situations in which it happens occasionally but as soon as this is your racing line or you get an advantage with doing it, it can be penalized.

You are allowed to block a line in front of a corner once, plus getting back to your racing line. Zigzag style is not allowed

Gfinity will provide live-marshalling for the broadcasted races but players are still free to open up a dispute ticket and file a case against another Driver if they feel it´s necessary.

3.1.6. Live-marshalling
All broadcasted races (weekly finals and grand final) will be held with marshals/race-admins in the session

Race-marshals are allowed to penalize cuts or unsportsmanlike-behaviour/crashes during the event. Please refer to the ForzaRC Handbook for clarification on all unsportsmanlike conduct.

Such actions might lead to penalty points/seconds, drive-through-penalties or even disqualification but not limited to

Inviting additional Players to the lobby is strictly prohibited and will be penalized with a minor penalty

4. Conduct
4.1 Consequences

Warning 1 (Verbal Warning)
STRIKE (10 Second Time Penalty)
Waring 2 (Additional 5 Second Time Penalty)
STRIKE (Disqualification)
For example, Warnings are given but not limited to; cutting corners and crashing into an opponent. Strikes can be handed out without warning for purposely crashing into an opponent or purposely breaking race etiquette.

6.2. Cancellation
If cheating, a virus, bug, catastrophic event, or any other unforeseen or unexpected event that cannot be reasonably anticipated or controlled affects the fairness and / or integrity of this Tournament, Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, change or suspend this Tournament. This includes changes due to software updates or releases, and any other change deemed necessary by the league. You must understand that the rules listed are guidelines to try and ensure fair and competitive play, and they will be applied by officials based on the spirit of the game. Teams should check the rules prior to any event to ensure they are in compliance. They should also keep an eye on the website as changes will be announced on the website. You must be familiar with the current rule set

How are the 1v1 races seeded?

Is it based on points earned via the rivals events during the week?

I have a question that I've been unable to resolve through research. It may seem trivial but I can't figure out what "ringing" is, in terms of racing offences.
Which also leads me to wonder what is meant by "Pitting"? Is this in reference to the Pit lane and stopping for repairs, or P.I.T. Manoeuvres?
I'm just trying to clarify the nomenclature, not argue the merits of Pitting, or Ringing.

"Race Etiquette

I am also in search of any information that may clear up how one is to participate in these races, if one is chosen? I was never able to successfully navigate the ESL Style racing, and I can't make heads or tales of he GFINITY app either. It doesn't show FORZA as one of the participating games.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Idk what ringing is. Might be wall riding?

Pitting is the pit maneuver in this instance.

https://forzarc.gfinity.net/elite/races/na

That's the site. There are no selections on who can or cannot participate. First come first serve basically. I think the rules limit around 4,000 players per region. The link provided is for the North America region. Select the region that best applies to you. The descriptions imply that a massive 1v1 bracket will exist so if you sign up in time, you'll race. As for how seeding will work, that's not clear. I'm assuming it's based on cumulative points earned via rivals and races (for weeks 2 until last week).

So basically Lightning and Raceboy will have high seeds all tournament since they are suoer fast rivals players and super smooth/fast racers.

The site is different but it's basically filter based. First filter is race/rivals/rules/handout, next filter is cups/leaderboards, and final filter is region.

A lot of the filter options have minimal or no data due to the events not starting yet.

Under race filter -> cups you can sign up for all or a handful of the races. I would sign up for all.

I figured p.i.t.ing was what they meant, but it wasn't very clear. How am I supposed to win if I can't do p.i.t. Manoeuvres? What a buzz kill. Which ones the brake? Lol
I still wouldn't be suprised if using the pit lane became a definition issue. I haven't ever heard of ringing so I hope someone who has can help me out.
Thanks again

Not meant to be a funny post but I found it hilarious.

I'd fight for Asia if I lived in Georgia. That would be the easier route to success vs navigating thru all of the insanely fast Europeans. That's the hardest division IMO. Seems to be so many players that actually participate in this kind of stuff from that area and all seem to be fast.

Whereas in North America, there's a lot of active and quick drivers from the US that just won't try it. I've been trying to get friends to join but I doubt they will. The amount of hours it takes to put into this seems to be a big issue. I only recognize one D class lobby vet so far in the registration.

This may not matter all that much. If the MLG tourney is a good benchmark, many fast players from NA will miss or skip out on some of the races or rivals events.

Racing occurs around same time people take vacations or have final exams in college. For example I'm going on a week long vacation the last week of may. If I don't accrue enough points before then, I'm out.

In the MLG tourney you had good but not elite players get higher seeds and some elite players getting mid pack seeds, lows seeds, or DNQs. You also had players sneak in the top 16 that theoretically shouldn't. I know I squeaked in after missing a few events and upset the higher seed 1st round battle.

Looks like regions may be capped with no shows being replaced by alternates.

The cap is 192 people.

Replacement cap is 64.

If you have any interest, I'd say sign up today! You can always back out later.
