Personally I would love an open road racing game to be done in the UK. We already have loads of games set in America, Japan, France, Hawaii, Brazil, Australia, but I really think the UK has plenty to offer, Motorways, Twisty A roads through beautiful country settings, and busy streets and cities.
Plus unless you count the getaway back on the ps2, I believe I'm right in saying it's never been done. There's plenty of motoring heritage from the likes of Aston Martin, Jaguar, TVR, ect... plus we have BTCC and world famous race tracks like Brands hatch, Silverstone, also it's the birth place of the world's most famous Car TV Show TopGear. I feel that whenever a new racing game comes out whether it be Forza Horizon, NFS, Test Drive Unlimited ect.. England gets forgotten and I really don't know why? Also with the last Horizon being Australia, a lot of right hand drive cars have already been modelled. I love the Forza franchise so much that I sold my PS4 Just to get an Xbox one with Horizon 2 and I own every Forza game right back to the original Forza motorsport on the original Xbox. To be able to drive through twisty British A roads in a classic E Type Jag would be a dream come true.

How about they take all 3 previous horizon maps (maybe/hopefully uptade horizon 1 and 2's maps to be on the same level as horzizon 3's map) and put them together and make the airport even more usefull in the way that we use it to travel between them and maybe even a big bridge connecting them.

I would like to see the next Forza Horizon: Forza Horizon 4, to be in California, like San Diego maybe. But I would really enjoy it being in Las Angeles, perfect car cruising location, there's race tracks there... it would be nice if they had the iconic road: Rodeo Drive... if they choose California I would definitely do las angeles, just have the whole city of las angeles, to give the players more freedom to do things on a large map! They could even extend the location range and make it all the way down to San Diego! That would be amazing! Thanks Turn10! :)

I would like one that would do a Saint Lawrence River/Lake Erie/Lake Ontario/New England game. That area has a ton of mountains, valleys, farms and Forests. There are some major landmarks, like The Old Man of the Mountain, Mount Washington, Statue of Liberty, Niagara Falls, Saratoga Racetrack, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, Canada's capital and many more. It would combine two countries (USA and Canada), there would be many major cities (New York, Boston, Detroit, Toronto, Montréal, Ottawa, Québec and more) and the biodiversity (as stated above). There would also be many States (Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont and parts of Michigan) and two Canadian Provinces (Ontario and Québec).

I agree a map with Los Angeles to San Diego would be awesome. You could take the pacific coastal highway between the two

Whoa, I didn't expect my post to be unexpectedly moved to this thread, oh well. Anyway, I would really like to see Horizon 4's new location to be in Disney's Zootopia. Let me explain.
It be really incredible to race and explore in a location that is inhabited by anthromorphic talking animals with 6 unique environments along with a Bunnyburrow expansion. I have a lot of ambitious but great ideas with this new location.

Police Missions: All new for Forza Horizon 4 or Forza Horizon 4: Zootopia Police Academy. These new events will take your driving & law enforcement skills to the test with exciting police chases, training courses, emergency responses and hilariously, parking duty challenges. You'll not only be the boss of the Horizon Festival, but you'll be the Zootopia Police Department's finest and fearless police officer with your favorite characters on your side. New officer ranks are here, with every case you crack and police pursuit you fought, you will be rewarded with new officer ranks from New Recruit to Chief of Police, while being awarded with Credits and XP for both of your police and racing career.

All New Police And Returning Cars: This will be the biggest lineup of cars in FH's history, with over 700+ new and returning cars from past Forza titles. The new police cars are specially designed to handle all of the driving conditions of Zootopia's unique ecosystems, with each and every one of them being equipped with the latest in police technology. New police cruisers will be using a new computer system with 5 new power-ups and the ability to look at criminal files, incoming reports, and recognizing license plate numbers. They'll also have new driving modes that adapt to the various terrains that Zootopia has in store. There will be more new cars than ever before, as well as returning ones from FM1 to FM4 with updated new body and widebody kits to give them a stunning new shape. Barn Finds are upped to now 12 that are hidden all over the city, with many being the most rarest and sought out cars in the world.

Anyone Can Be Anything!: An all new Character Creator which you can be any kind of mammal you can be, with a whole wide selection of over 5,000 species of mammals to chose from. To the smallest rodent to the biggest rhino! You can adjust your character's size, and height, change various fur colors, and personalize them with stylish and trendy outfits that'll give you and your cars a colorful personality.

Friends Are There To Help You: All of your favorite characters from Disney's Zootopia are back to join the high-revving fun of the Horizon Festival with them being your pals fur-ever than ever! Officer Judy Hopps will help you get your police training in shape by guiding and helping you on stopping criminals, writing parking tickets, and protecting all of Zootopia. Along with her cunning and Joe Cool partner/best friend, Nick Wilde, who will take you under his wing by giving you hints on where the next barn find is and restoring them for you, secretly telling you the whereabouts of Street Races, advising you with clever police strategies, and go for a wild ride with you in the Showcase events. All of the other characters in Zootopia will assist you as well by the names of, Ben Clawhauser, Chief Bogo, Mr. Big, Finnick, Flash, and Mayor Lionheart.

All other new and returning features including new paint styles for your car, new rims, new tire styles, unlimited storage for paint designs, photos, & tune setups, discount boards, Midnight Battles, Forzathon,16 player online lobbies with new Cops & Robbers game modes, new option in photo mode of adding the character posing next to their ride, Wheelspins with now 3 slots, player sending gift cars to their friends, and 2 new DLC car packs each month.

You listening Turn 10, Playground Games, Microsoft Studios, and Disney? This would be an awesome new game-changing turn for the Forza franchise, becoming the best installment in the whole series.

Even though the Hotwheels Expansion went in the direction of a fantasy driving world I think this is a little too far. Although it would be interesting I think it would be best to leave this to Disney to make their own game and not have it as a part of the Forza franchise. Zootopia was an ok movie( Sorry if you think otherwise) but it is too childish for the Forza Horizon series I think. There aren't even realistic or namebrand cars in Zootopia so anything realistic would be out of place there and would not end up working. I mean maybe they could start a Forza Fantasy series for all the children ( and the children at heart) and maybe then include Zootopia but until they do that (If that would ever happen which I don't think it would) I don't think they will ever make anything close to Zootopia becuse that is not what Horizon is about.

My vote would be to put it on an island, and make the island fully explorable. A few ideas (most of these have already been mentioned, so I'll just add my thoughts for those):

Japan
This gets mentioned a lot, and with good reason. Very strong car culture, varied terrain (tropical beaches in the south of Japan up to snow capped mountains and giant cities with some countryside in between), and it's in a part of the world that hasn't been represented in a Horizon game yet. The only concern I have about this location is that there's not enough straight roads or open spaces to let loose with the hypercars, resulting in the opposite problem from what we have now with the Australia map (more of a problem with the FH3 map design than Australian geography) and there's no deserts or open plains to bomb across with offroad vehicles. As long as the map design gets the feel of Japan right (like including all the islands with ferries between them) but still provides a few places where we can max out our cars, then I would be very happy with this location.

New Zealand
I love NZ personally as a country and would love to see a driving game set there. It's got similar geography to Japan, but it's a lot less crowded so there's plenty of open spaces and stunning natural beauty. The main issue I see with NZ is that the country doesn't really have much in the way of a freeway system outside of Auckland. It's all just 2 lane highways. There's no deserts either, but it has some great beaches and dunes that could partially fill this niche. Also, we just got a game set in Australia so I wouldn't expect them to choose a location so close to the previous game (even if the geography is totally different from Australia).

Ibiza
This could be another interesting option. I had great fun driving around it in TDU2, and it's small enough that they could realistically put a 1-to-1 scale map of the island into the game. The issues here are the same as with NZ. Not too many places to open up the fast cars, and it's not all that far from where FH2 was set. Additionally, it doesn't have any mountains high enough for snow.

Hawaii
Again, this was a great place to explore in TDU2. Oahu does actually have some decent freeways and even some raceways. The main issue here is that the islands don't have many places that get snow (just really the tops of the largest mountains, and even then it's not all that much) and no deserts. Could still be a good location though if done correctly and with all the islands. Even though it's back in the US, Hawaii is very different than Colorado and that was two games ago.

South America
This wouldn't really be an island (unless you did a map of the ENTIRE continent and just put a barrier across the Panama canal), but South America would be another neat location we haven't really seen in a driving game. The main issue here is how big South America is, and how much it would have to be condensed to fit in the game. Some people have mentioned Brazil specifically, but they don't really have snowy mountains. Argentina/Chile have the mountains, but not the urban areas or the tropical beaches. Still, a map that captured all the unique places in South America would be a lot of fun if done correctly.

Panau-like fictional island
For those who might not be familiar with the name, Panau is the fictional island country from Just Cause 2. It has just about everything (very large city area, tropical beaches, jungles, snow capped mountains, large deserts) within a very short distance of each other and is set in southeast Asia. Obviously the devs wouldn't be able to directly use a game map from another company, but they could potentially design their own island(s) around the needs of the game. The advantage of this is that we can get a map designed for gameplay (i.e. fun driving) without having to worry about basing in on a real location. However, given how FH3 butchered Australia (and FH2 southern Europe), there may not be a need to create a fictional island if you're willing take enough liberties with a real-world location.

I would really like to see FH4 in California. If you want to see why look at my posts in the Forza Horizon 4 Features Wishlist Thread and Forza Horizon 4 wishlist thread also. I know tons of other games have taken place in California and it is a lot like Austrailia but I think if they got the map right with Pacific Coastal Highway, the High Desert, the Mountains, and the major Cities it would be amazing. Especially if they added IN-N-Out Drive Thru's :)

Germany should be next because of their rich car culture and their autobahn story drive around on. Also the abundance of farmland and small towns and villages would be unique.

I been thinking about this one a lot. My first thought was Germany actually. Autobahn, that kind of thing. Even though Australia is the current one, I'd also like to see somewhere like Arizona or Nevada. California is a great idea too; many driving choices in that state. Texas would have great variety like California & all those states would have a piece of Route 66 in it. Maybe a Horizon 4: Route 66?

If they could take 3 & make it a start to a world tour or continental tour type game, I think that would be fantastic. I think starting on a continent would be great. Horizon Europe? Horizon South America? Horizon North America? Who wouldn't want to race down the Nile River in Horizon Africa or blast thru The Great Wall in Horizon Asia?

Expansions I think would be like Antarctica or one of the Scandinavian countries...seems like specialized driving skill is needed there, but I'm no expert on the subject.

If I had to narrow it down to just singular locations, I'd pick either Germany, Texas, California, Arizona or Japan. Choosing just one is the real problem...lol
