Playing Groove Music Subscription Free In Froza Horizon 3

I don't know if everyone knows about this or no one so I'll post this guide. If you're like me and are getting tired of the same songs on the same radio stations and would love to hear your own music while driving then this guide is for you.

Not all of this is confirmed to work 100% and could differ from console to console. I will say it's worth a try though!

I will warn you that:
- There are some skipping issues at times but it's random
- It's not constant but it can happen and will sometimes happen for a short period of time over and over again
- Try not to change radio stations as this seems to increase the skipping chance (changing radio stations changes the current song playing)
- The volume fades
- Certain things like crashing or other random sound effects lowers the volume (about 25~50%)
- For some reason when you drive slow or stop the volume is lower but as you speed up the volume increases to a certain point. Almost like it's giving you an incentive to drive faster

Things you'll need:
- Windows 10 (Only certain for PC users... Not sure for Xbox One users?)
- Groove Music (On your Xbox for Xbox One users or on your PC for PC users)

I have only tried this on Xbox One but I'm sure it's very similar for PC users

Step 1:
- Know your email and password to your Xbox Live account. This may seem like an unnecessary step but I know plenty of people who don't know there account credentials due to automatic sign in for years

Step 2: OneDrive
- Go to OneDrive and sign in using your Xbox Live account name and password. It's much better to use the website and not the app/program on your Windows 10 computer
- There should be an already made music folder inside OneDrive. You can delete any of the folders and make your own if you wanted to. Create or use the music folder provided and put all of your music in this folder. I'd advise just putting a select few in this folder until you know it works. Wait for it to finish uploading however many songs you put in the folder (songs appear in the folder once they're done uploading)

Step 3: Groove Music
- Download (if not done already) and open Groove Music
- Navigate to the left pane menu and select playlist. Create a new one (I simply named it "Horizon 3") and once done select "add songs from my collection". If everything has been done correctly you should see your songs. For some reason it grouped some of my songs into a folder called "unknown album". So when I first tried this I thought only a few of my songs actually worked.
- Select each song and hit the "+ Add to" button and then select your newly created playlist
- Play a song or two in Groove Music just to make it works and that something hasn't gone wrong. If there's an exclamation mark near some or all of your songs then you've done something wrong and please reply below so I can help

Step 4: Horizon 3
- First of all make sure you've unlocked the Groove Music radio station (duh)
- Go to Menu>Settings>Audio> and where it says Groove Music (It may take a few second to go from grey to selectable) go left or right on that option and select the playlist you made in step 3
- That's it! If everything went right then change your radio station to Groove Music and you should hear your music. It might take a few seconds to minutes to load your playlist. If it takes more than 5~10 minutes then you encountered an error (this differs depending on how many songs you uploaded and your internet speed)

Im pretty sure the reason it works is because they give you a 15 day trial for free.

I denied the 15 day trial on both the Groove Music App and on Forza

They don't make it clear that with some work you can stream YOUR music instead of THERE music by still using Groove Music

Proof that I'm not using the trial:

I Can't even get groove to appear. I have the app on the xbox, music in my onedrive, playlist setup in groove on the xbox, but in the game the station isn't there. I've unlocked all the other station but it just has a blank square where groove should be. Any ideas?

I bought Forza Horizon 3 on Windows Store and I played it for 80+ hours and signed all the radio station in game but I didn't found Groove Music. I uploaded my soundtracks to my OneDrive and sync them in my Groove Music but still can't find Groove Music option in game. Is this a bug or just because I didn't set it properly?

Im trying to use my groove without signing up to it by adding music to my one drive.
I have a few albums in my own drive and if you log onto the website you see them all.
But on the one drive app on my pc you have to click on music to see them.
If i log into groove i see all my albums.
I have installed groove and one drive on pc,ipad, phone and xbox but i only see my albums on groove on pc.

Is there a step by step guide on how to set this up right or use with fh3.
I have unlocked groove on fh3 game and i did make playlist on pc but all it says all the time is loading and never changes.

I don't understand why its not working or if there is issued with my groove or onedrive.

Be good to play my own stuff in game.

Groove music is region locked.
https://en.wikipedia.org...eographical_availability
If your country is not in this list, then groove won't even appear ingame. I learnt it myself the hard way too, with uploading many songs only to find out I can't even use it.
We unlucky few are stuck with music players.

Please add shuffle feature, it is a simple thing and would make the station much more useful. Might as well just launch a media player in the background at this point.

There is a clever workaround to try in the meantime if we're not able to get a shuffle feature in a future content update (it's on the list of things we agree would be great feature additions). I tried it myself and it works:

Use groove as a background app. Less fiddly than the shuffle workaround.

What i do is open groove, start playlist and turn shuffle on. Then start fh3. If volume needs adjsting snap to groove and adjust from there.
I blame the ants.

Yeah I saw that, useful tip but the game crashed for me like 4 times today for example and having to do it every time I launch it sucks.

I'm on PC so I can just use foobar and keyboard macros to adjust volume/skip tracks. Get my whole library that way too. It would just be nice to have an in-game feature so it's muted at the normal points that the radio is in game and so I don't have to deal with my keyboards spotty reception since I play from my couch.

Hey there. Anyone got suggestions for good driving tunes or mixtapes? Here are a few of mine.
The Who - Don't get fooled again
Depeche Mode - Route 66
Springsteen - Racing in the streets
David Lindley - Mercury Blues
Jan Hammer - Miami Vice theme
ZZ Top - Sharp dressed man
Pitbull - El Taxi

What songs get your motor running?

So far I love having the Groove Music Radio station on Horizon 3. It's great to be able to listen to your favorite music while driving in the game. The only problem I've found is that there appears to be no way to shuffle the Groove Music station, it just plays your selected playlist in order from the beginning every time you start up the game. Considering that I have about 150 songs in my driving playlist, this is pretty annoying. Am I overlooking something, or is this something that Playground overlooked? If so, it's something they should address.

I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who notices this, but for whatever reason, when on Groove Music, the music will not play when at an autoshow and post-race.
