So the TS040, GT500 GT-R and Formula Mazda aren't race cars?

Love the fact that SuperGT is back. We just need some more SuperGT cars for it to race against now (Pointless on its own! Hint hint T10!)

I also noticed the lack of the Autobacs logo on the GTR. Thats got licensing issues written all over it. Possibly why its taken this long to see the first SuperGT car since FM4!

Now I really want to buy another Xbox One! I figured the packs would be returning cars that I don't like or new race cars that i again, don't like. I like the retro/classic cars of the 70s/80s and 90s and the last few packs have added nice cars from those eras. Pure kick in the teeth, but at the same time the online was terrible. Can't wait for FH3 as the Motorsport games aren't likely to see user created lobbies again anytime soon.

I'm more amazed than anything the number of Australian cars they keep chucking at this game. ANOTHER Holden? Really? Anyone would think they were Ferrari the regularity they are getting Aussie cars added. I really don't care in the slightest about them but it must be good for Holden fans I guess....!

Two Nissans in one pack as well as the not very notable 2015 Toyota prototype that will probably drive near indistinguishable in the game from the 2014 Rebellion built Toyota powered one already added in another DLC pack! Generic WEC cars. Hmmm.

I am not exactly impressed here. The little Formula Mazda might be interesting though, depending on it's PI.

Literally said nothing about "race cars" and the race cars in comparison with all the road cars and hypercars in dlc and in the game is nothing. The hypercars and supercars that are in the game aren't even competitive either, the only reason to have them is cause they look pretty. All I want is one freaking X Class car to fill the gap from f1 1988 to 2015

Comparing the TS040 to the Rebellion is ridiculous, considering it has nearly twice the horsepower and AWD thanks to its hybrid system. This thing will make the R-One look like a Prius in comparison.

This might be true if you couldn't derestrict the Rebellion and add wider tyres so it is competitive up to what, P996?. Oh but wait. You can. Next!

So my initial impressions (wonder how they change after I've driven them).

Lykan Hypersport - Not really a fan of this one, or any boutique "supercar" and I use the term lightly. I wonder how it will drive as its not really a car enthusiasts supercar.

Opel Kadett - I guess this was mainland Europe's answer to the Escort, It must be fairly good since it was used in rallying a fair bit.

Holden Manaro - Not familiar with car to be honest, but I have enjoyed the other two Holdens despite that.

Toyota TS040 - Should be insane and at least they didn't give up when the car was off the pace, eh Nissan?

Formula Mazda - An odd choice to have a very USA based club level single seater, especially since we have lost the other road to Indy cars (USF200 and Indy Lights car from FM5)

GT-R GT500 - Again I would have preferred the GT300 cars as there are more interesting, the new GT500 are just very spec DTM with more power, hopefully it will be in the P class like it should be and hasn't been nerfed like the WTCC Civic and STCC Volvo.

73 Skyline - pretty cool hopefully it drives well.

Dude I really don't know what you're going on about. The differences that Carlson mentioned make them night and day apart. They make them Milky Way and Andromeda apart. If you're going to compare the Toyota to anything, it'll be a lot closer to the Audi than anything else. Those two cars were direct competitors. So your remarks about recycled content in this case are grossly inaccurate.

Not sure how I feel about this car pack. On the one hand I'm "OMG Super GT, TS040 and Fomula Mazda!!!" But on the other I'm a bit sad so see other spots have been taken by those road cars which I'm not overly excited about. It's nice to see that there are more race cars though

My remarks weren't about recycled content, they were about the absence of notability for the latest Toyota, and the lack of variety. I made that pretty clear in that post. They are two LMP cars only a year apart that in the game at least, will almost certainly offer very little different and they both came in DLC packs. I am well aware of the technical differences in the cars, but if you think that means the Toyota is a great choice for another DLC pack after the Rebellion has already been added you sorely missing the point......

I rather think that indeed was the tip of my point. Another slot in a pack taken up by a car that has very little notability or variety to what not only is already in the game but has also been expanded previously in DLC. Lost in the sea of prototypes that can hit all the same high P ratings.

The Porsche at least won something worth talking about! I assume when that pack finally arrives it'll be included.

Two of the biggest community organised racing sites out there are welcoming it as they plan their Endurance series.

You clearly don't drive Prototypes very often if you make outright stupid comments that they're all generically similar. I don't see you moaning at Hunt and Lauda's F1 cars.

Another Porsche pack would be good, but obviously Porsche don't seem to be interested. They haven't even licenced RUF to be used in this game. Or Turn 10 have ignored them, figuring it's the real deal or nothing.
Interesting they put the Opel in the pack. It actually means in a way 2 Holden's in the pack, as the Isuzu version of this car was sold in Australia in the late 70's as the Holden Gemini. The Monaro was an interesting choice, even from an Aussie point of view. It was more of a street car than a racer, as Holden had the smaller, more nimble, and less thirsty Torana XU-1 3.3 litre 6 cyl 202 as it's race flagship, running rings around the big, bulky, 5.8 litre V8 351 Falcon Hardtops of the day. Particularly at Bathurst. Still, not a bad pack, I'll probably grab my Monaro, and my 'Gemini', and maybe the Mazda.

They might be waiting for the video upload. Usually Xbox Wire gets the announcement first and they haven't put one up there.
