The clue thread is here, the clue thread is here. For bonus points tell me how this statement is relevant to Halloween?

The November DLC Clue Thread is here for your enjoyment, frustration and anticipation. I post vague clues about the cars of the November car pack, you guess. It's really that simple. One guess per person please although you may edit your responses. Also please keep banter to a minimum so the thread can remain focused. This is not a wish list thread, so please post wishes to the appropriate thread.

This month I have seven clues about seven cars. Let's get right to it.

Clue One

Dominant, pioneering, and in Forza it's in a class by itself

Clue Two

I'm willing to bet it's silhouette alone will capture your heart.

Clue Three

So fast he could pull to the side, reset his systems and still win the race.

Clue Four

No worries mate! Pretty sure this will be a hit.

Clue Five

A millennial moonshot.

Clue Six

I'm not dumb, but I can't understand why more American cars don't take advantage of this technology.

Clue Seven

Shazbot, Nanu Nanu

There you have it. I will check in on the thread over the weekend and post additional clues if I don't see any correct answers. I also may drop in to make sure you are confused.

Have fun and good luck!

John

The only one I can really think of off the bat is the Mork & Mindy reference in #7 -- there was a '70s Jeep CJ-5 in that show.

Pretty excited about the possibilities for classic Aussie cars hinted at in #4, though.

The new phone book's here! The new phone book's here! (The Jerk) - I believe it's your Halloween costume too, Johnniwanna?

Clue One - Dominant, pioneering, and in Forza it's in a class by itself
Williams FW14 - totally dominant in the early Nineties, pioneered computerised ride and control systems, and in a class of its own at the time, let alone Forza.

Clue Two - I'm willing to bet it's silhouette alone will capture your heart.
BMW i8 - "Capture your heart" is, apparently, a song by Blue (I wouldn't know - Google helped). Blue is a predominant highlight in . . . the BMW I8.

Clue Three - So fast he could pull to the side, reset his systems and still win the race.
Delorean DMC12 - I can see the twisted logic now. Not particularly fast - but of course can time travel!!

Clue Four - No worries mate! Pretty sure this will be a hit.
Holden VFII Ute??

Clue Five - A millennial moonshot.
I'll go with the Gumpert Apollo too on this one!

Clue Six - I'm not dumb, but I can't understand why more American cars don't take advantage of this technology.
Smart Coupe

Clue Seven - Shazbot, Nanu Nanu
You lot scare me . . .
Mork Egg Car
But probably the Plymouth Prowler . . .

I'll fill in the blanks later - had to get the Mork car out there!!

Your opening phrase - sounds like its from 'The Jerk' ala, 'The new phone book's here, The new phone book's here, Finally I'm someone!'

EDIT - HA! I was right, just saw your Halloween Costume pic in the WIR! Awesome, you need a 'Cup-O-Pizza' mug :)

Clue 1: ???
Clue 2: ???
Clue 3: DeLorean DMC-12
Clue 4: Subaru Outback
Clue 5: Gumpart Apollo
Clue 6: BMW i8
Clue 7: Plymouth or Chrysler Prowler

1) Ford Model T (Dominated the global car market, pioneered assembly line mass production, and would require a whole new class; would the PI be about 30? 20?)

2) Nissan Skyline R30 Super Silhouette (Silhouette's in the freakin' name, hearts and love were prominent themes in Skyline adverts for many years)

3) ?

4) HSV GTS VF Maloo ('STRAYA! Of course it will be a hit! Only bogans would hate on an LSA-powered ute.)

5) Gumpert Apollo (Moonshot? Apollo. Easy peasy.)

6) Chevrolet Corvette GTP (Clue is a reference to a lyric from the Kinks song "Lola," Lola built the Chevrolet Corvette GTP, which briefly used an active suspension system)

7) Jeep CJ-5 (The most commonly seen automobile in Mork and Mindy)

Clue 1: McLaren MP4-4. Dominant, it won 15/16 races. Pioneering, it introduced the "laying down" seating posistion and most of modern F1 cars were developed from what this thing started. In a class of it's own in Forza, no 80s F1 cars in Forza. Please Forza gods let this be the car.

My guesses:

1. - Redbull X2010 (Not sure if GT has this under contract, but it's worth a shot)

2. - 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic (The beauty that it is)

3. - Mercedes Benz Sauber C9

4. - Holden Ute

5. - Gumpert Apollo Enraged

6. - 2016 Acura NSX (Theoretically, Acura is American. The NSX uses hybrid technology to make a high output, which is something not many American cars are using.)

7. - Plymouth Prowler
