That was classy.
I just want to reiterate my intention is not to "bring back" the community, its to make a new one. There's a slew of new players that don't know a whole lot about drifting but know they love it, and instead of walking away, I plan on teaching them, one step at a time, showing them how to improve their driving and themselves.
Yea, those dudes that made the community great back in the day aren't coming back, so for those of us that are left, it is our job to help the new kids on the block along, hand down our knowledge or principles, and keep the flame going. This was something I was even saying on Forza 4 before it died out; get involved and help the people that are left instead of writing them off.
I, as well as all of you that came before me, put in way too much work to just wipe our hands clean and step away from the rest of the world on the next-gen Forza games. As long as I have a Forza title, I will be doing everything I can to help.

"I hate drifting. With a passion. ... And then I came to begrudgingly respect [drifters] as a group. ...they took what the game gave them and made it so much more. They created their own competitions with complex rulesets and training schools with mentors and leagues and teams and all manner of organization that defies explanation. They complained loud and long about how they couldn't get the things they wanted and how they weren't given any consideration by Turn 10 and then they went and got on with it anyway.
Sometimes you need to get on with it yourself and make the community you want."
Sorry for having faith.
