I personally think backwards compatibility is a waste of time as online updates are required to get the games up and running and when xbox one/360 gets shut down we are left with no backwards compatibility anymore unless Microsoft creates a patch disc and puts it up for sale.

I still own 3 xbox 360s and 3 xbox original consoles. *I have all these consoles for lan parties and security so that I can play games well into the future.

Ps. I can hear my FM4 Ford GT purring in the background right now.

I hope they do forza motorsport 2 3 4 xbox one backwards compatible but hopefully the dlc will be available again as well as the limited edition disc install from motorsport 3 and 4

does it include dlc content from 2 3 4 forza motorsport games when they do backwards compatible

They need to announce 3 & 4 already! Maybe when Forza 7 comes....

Never had a chance to play Forza 4. Amazing carlist (so bad the DLC is gone, it was really expensive though). Hopefully I'll be able to do that. I would love to play Forza 2 as well, it's older but the choice of cars is very nice.

I doubt they will ever release any previous Forza as a backward compatible game.

The whole Forza franchise seems to be very profitable as it is, even hurting us sometimes.

I hope I'm wrong, though.

So sad that the wholr DLC and the game itself are gone from the shop. Looks like we can abandon all hope.

Would love to see Forza 4 become backwards compatibility on Xbox one. I rate this as the best Forza game.

It'd be great if they'd make it backwards compatible, but the simple fact is that they won't. Forza 4 was a fantastic game and T10 know it. They also know that if it came back, it would impact sales of future Forza titles.

One suggestion a friend made is that T10 follow Activision's model with Infinite Warfare coming with CoD4 Remastered. If T10 bundled a remastered, or even straight up backwards compatible FM4 with FM7, I would pre-order that in a heartbeat. I'm sure many others would too.

It usually has something to do with licenses for tracks or cars. As we notice there have been no Japanese tracks since Forza 4, which could mean Gran Turismo has some exclusive license to them. Pure speculation but in Project Cars Suzuka has been renamed Sakkito with some track changes to make it different but very similar to Suzuka Circuit. That being said it would be nice to have it backwards compatible but your best bet is to dust of that old 360

Or in case like me - just buy new X360 and old games on discs... pretty expensive just to play 3 Forza titles :/

I have seen 2 ppl playing forza 4 on the xbox one in the past 2 days

On the Xbox One, you can see what people are playing on the 360.

As u can see he's playing it on the xbox one



The second person has actually posted an achievement to his time line. U cant do that on a 360

I just messaged him and he said he was on 360..

of course he was on the 360, I keep mine hooked up too. No one is playing it on Xbox One lol, put the disc in, see for yourself. If it works you let us know.

Yes you can, I just unlocked some achievements on my xbox 360 (not backward compatible games) and they are showing on my live feed on my xbox one.

Fair enough but John wasn't playin on the 360 he was on the xbox one. I'm assuming u know John works for t10

How do you know that? Did he tell you that? (That he was playing on the xbox one of course, not that he is a T10 employee).

It was so in the past I think, but now it doesn't say anymore if someone is on the one or 360.

Lets face it, the change FM4 will ever be backward compatible is very slim, with all the cars, tracks and music that needs new licensing (including all DLC).
And how much people do you think will buy a new copy of FM4? Most of us will probably still own a copy of the game and use this on their xbox one.
