The one I had the longest time getting was the Aston Martin. I thought I'd be slick and use the auction house, try to pick the DBR1 up for less than 6M, but EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I saw one for a bargain price and started bidding(always waiting until the last minute, to try and snipe it), one of three people would buy it up over me, slap a pitiful paintjob on it, and put it right back up on the auction house for 5.9M within seconds. There were like three or more names that I just ALWAYS saw bidding on that particular car, so I just eventually gave up on picking one up cheap and turned my back on the auction house completely. And I'm not talking single cars, either. I'm talking, there would be two or three DBR1's at deal prices, I'd place a marking bid and keep an eye on it, and these three people would buy like three or four at a time, stick their bad cookie-cutter paintjobs on them, and re-auction them at no-deal prices. The auction house was just a complete and total waste of time, when it came to trying to get that particular car. No clue how many days I wasted trying to play the market to get it, when I could've just been racing and earning cash to purchase it straight up, which is what I did finally do...
If anybody still needs to hang on to one of these cars for a few minutes, send me a message, add me, and I'll try to get on and lend mine out.
I wonder...just having them shared in a car club garage doesn't trip the switch for that achievement, does it? Probably not...
Nope - has to be in YOUR garage, a club garage still sees the car as being in the owners garage, so while you can use it you don't own it.
