And there are still unannounced indie tracks slated for a spot in the racing game's soundtrack, a lineup that Rob da Bank hopes will help him continue to showcase new artists.
"I have no idea what the plans are going forward." he said. "We have talked about having a lot more versatile stations, maybe replacing tracks with updates in real time."

Radio Levante will also be nice. A bit disappointed in the lack of Bach but the Vivaldi will stand in nicely.

This announcement literally just made my day. I'm overjoyed at some of the music included in Horizon 2! As much as I hate the term, I am a huge 'EDM' fan and therefore Bass Arena was my go-to station in the original game. First off, the announcement of Hospital Records Radio blew my mind. Drum & Bass? Yes PLEASE! I really am blown away. To further that excitement, my favourite sub-genre of 'EDM', Deep House, is included this time around and so the following tracks from Bass Arena have me grinning like a kid at Christmas:

“I Got U feat. Jax Jones” by Duke Dumont
“Changes” by Faul & Wad Ad & Pnau
“Running (Disclosure Remix)” by Jessie Ware
"36" by Redlight
“Survive” by Kidnap Kid
“Here For You (feat. Laura Walsh) (Extended Mix)” by Gorgon City

Not to mention on that same station there also a few more of my favourite tracks. Amazing work on producing this soundtrack and I know for sure that the other stations will have other people excited too.

Sorry for the long post, and it's actually my first in a long time, but I really am very excited. ;-)

There is some great music on this list. However, I know this game is developed by Playground and them being a UK developer means a little more UK "inspiration", but I'm bummed there is no country music on here. I know the game is set in Southern Europe and I've never been there, but I can imagine country music is pretty much non existent there, but it would have been nice to drive to some good old country in an American muscle car.

Indeed. The only artists I know come from that radio. Never heard of the ones from the other stations, well..the only exception would be The Clash.

I'm happy with the radio stations. Great to see some 'not so known' bands/groups being part of the game! Pretty awesome to see Chromeo and the Hospital Records being a part of Horizon 2.

I won't be listening to anything but 'Radio Levante'. One never gets tired of listening to classical music while driving - or doing anything else for that matter! Classical music rocks! :D

How about some rap..? Cruising while listening to A$AP Rocky or Schoolboy Q would be hella awesome!

Edit: Faul & Wad Ad vs. Pnau - Changes is actually pretty good.

Looks alot of cruising without the radio again, jeeze, it is so hard to program a classic rock station? It must be... Not a single track in this list I like, not a single GENRE I like. You're basing a game in the freaking UK, how can you guys miss out so freaking hard on classic rock? Some of the best bands in rock and metal are freaking British!

Ya know...

Pink Floyd
The Doors
The Beatles
Whitesnake
led Zeppelin

I can come up with a classic rock station with a track list that's all about road songs, and you don't even have to pay me, why did they waste their money on Rob Da Bank?
You picked some day to finally find the devil in your eyes, looking inside mine
Youre a long way from paradise. Say goodbye, youre the boy who cried
Im the wolf outside your door and youre in trouble
with every wolf you saw before and youll never last long

I couldn't agree more. Although I like Electronica, and will likely enjoy this soundtrack, it is SORELY missing some rock tunes. Both new AND old school.

Meh, rock is overexposed. It's nice to take a break from it sometimes. There are definitely some songs I like in the tracklist, though I do wish the classical selection weren't so cliche. Ultimately, I reserve judgement of any of the music until I hear it while *driving*. After all, this is the only meaningful way by which to determine the quality of the music!

"Rob approached the soundtrack in the same way he’d approach one of his own music festivals, from big names and classic tracks,to fresh new music and bands."

Maybe these are big in Britain, but I've only heard of ten of these artists (and only like about half of them,) and, besides the classical music, I've only seen two that are "classic tracks."

I'm sure I'll like a lot of it, but there really doesn't seem to be that much diversity in the music. Almost all of it is techno or indie music. Techno and indie music is fine, but I don't want to listen to it all the time.
And what if you don't like techno or indie music? I hated most of the dub step in Horizon, but I had three completely different stations to choose from, so I could change it when one of those songs came on. But now Horizon Rocks is gone, so what about the people that only liked the rock music in Horizon? They'll have, like, two songs to listen to.

And, personally, I just don't see a lot of music that I would want to listen to while driving, which is kind of counterintuitive when you're basing the entire game around driving cars and listening to music.

I like it! An eclectic mix of hip music I can drive to. There seems to be a kinda-cheery mood, which will fit wonderfully with the Mediterrean locations. And I can only see good things coming from Playground licensing the name of some of the coolest labels in Europe and the US. Sadly there's no hip pop/rap option, but... Let's just say that my tastes in hip pop music would bump the rating of Horizon up quite a notch. A classic rock option would've been much appreciated, too.

Then switch the station, that ain't no excuse the exclude it from a game.

Not only do I loose my favorite local classic rock station to the whimsy of a station manager with a fetish for playing Jay Z and Kid Rock on the same station, now Forza Horizon 2 completely neglects any and all rock.

If I were a game dev I wouldn't let Rob Da Bank pay me to assemble a song list.

Here's a good suggestion for a classic rock station

HORIZON ROAD WARRIOR!

.38 Special - Hold On Loosely
AC/DC - Highway To Hell
Aerosmith - Sweet Emotion
Alice Cooper - Under My Wheels
Allman Brothers Band - Midnight Rider
Blackfoot - Highway Song
Bob Seger - Turn The Page
Deep Purple - Highway Star
Don Felder - Takin' A Ride
Doors, The - Roadhouse Blues
Doobie Brothers - China Grove
Eagles, The - Life In The Fast Lane
Foghat - Slow Ride
George Thorogood - Gear Jammer
James Gang - Walk Away
Kiss - Detroit Rock City
Led Zeppelin - Rock And Roll
Molly Hatchet - Flirtin' With Disaster
Motley Crue - Kickstart My Heart
Sammy Hagar - I Can't Drive 55
Steppenwolf - Born To Be Wild
Steve Miller Band - Rock'n Me
Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back In Town
Van Halen - Panama
Whitesnake - Here I Go Again
ZZTop - La Grange

There ya go, proper classic rock station with a heavy road trip feel; some you could even race to! I didn't even break a sweat... Now, beyond licensing issues; ain't no excuse for something like this not to exist in Horizon.
