I'm kind of OCD about getting as many of these special cars as possible. So question... I've already started with the FM5 D1 edition... If I sell. It and buy the limited edition, will my account log both sets of limited edition cars? It's really just the DLC code that matters right?

Krazy - correct, the Limited Edition package comes with the same disk content, it's the DLC code on the card that adds the extra cars.

Nice list again ,but on the cars eligible for Prototype 1 Racing you need to add the 2009 Peugeot #9 Peugeot Sport Total 908 (car that I used for the series) and 1991 Mazda #55 787B (Don't have the VIP pack but will probably be the first car I buy if I ever get it).

Great game, but very deceiving to those who have no experience with purchasing car packs vs the cars themselves from being newbies on forza.

Not including price of the game itself, first twenty bucks for the vip....ok, got a few cars and some other perks.

Went back and was thinking fifty bucks for the car pass, didnt understand car packs........ Took it as i was getting 60 cars...... Sounded ok for a head start. Only to realize now I got four cars and the rest of my money was for the ability to look at cars? And then if i found cars that i wanted to own in the game, another fee for another purchase?

Fun game to play none the less.

You mean like all the other cars in the game - you have to play the game to earn credits to buy the cars.

Today's content update has been reported to be 433MB in size, and users report the following changes:

• 10 car models from the April Top Gear car pack added to the game roster.
  
• In Buy Cars an icon on each car model indicates if you already own it in My Cars, and the list can be filtered for Not Owned.
  
• DLC pack cars are free to buy one time (you must own the DLC pack to buy a DLC car for your garage). A buy notification reads “Every add-on car you purchase is free to buy in game one time. Do you want to buy this car for FREE and get in the car?” Assume one freebie per gamertag, not per gamesave reset. This affects future DLC as well.
  
• All car models are now in the Rent list (previously just some install and DLC cars). Rented cars do not earn XP or credits.
  
• Titles that were previously stuck now appear to be fixed (Beat a Friend in Rivals, win without Rewind, etc)

Notes
The Audi RS4 Avant can be converted to TT and upgraded to a maximum 965hp and 625 torque.
The Chaparral can be upgraded from stock 475hp to maximum 584hp in low P class. It is currently not assigned a Body Family.
The Holden VF looks similar to the VE and they have the same stock PI number, but their engines have different torque numbers. The VF can be upgraded to 784hp with 606 torque vs the VE's maximum 720hp and 513 torque. The VF Car Type is listed as Production, not Race.
The Hummer has an alternate front bumper arrangement.
The Nissan R390 can be upgraded from stock 550hp to a maximum 789hp 639 torque. In stock form it comes adjustable in Gearing, Alignment, ARBs, Springs, and Damping.
The Renault has multiple body kits in aero options, including rally lights.

Like the Road America expansion, the Long Beach expansion is free for all players, delivered via content update the next time you start the game.



The expansion includes the following:

• 3 new tracks at Long Beach (Full, East, and West) added to Time Attack Rivals, Free Play, and Multiplayer
  
• Long Beach integrated into Career Mode by adding an event into most League Series

The content update also makes the five Long Beach Booster Pack cars visible in the Buy and Rent lists. The car pack is free for Car Pass owners or $4.99 for other players. For all owners of the pack, each car is available to Rent, and the Buy Cars list will indicate that they are "Free" - each model can be added to your garage for free the first time you buy it; subsequent purchases of that model will require credits or tokens.

There are also 10 new Achievements related to Long Beach, amounting to 200 gamerscore points. A new Challenge begins later today when the Multiplayer hopper menu is updated, along with new Rivals events.

Infiniti #77 Dallara - Although this car is an open wheel model, it is P class and not a Modern Indy Car like the other four X class Dallaras in the game. This car was not assigned a Body Family and so in Career it is only eligible for Class League. Upgrade options are brakes, drag tires, and rims, providing a maximum PI of 981.
Mazda MX-5 Cup - This car was also not assigned a Body Family and so in Career it is only eligible for Class League. Engines: Camaro'02, 370Z, 787B | AWD | Turbo and Centrifugal Supercharger. | Aero: Forza only.

You are doing a really good job with this thread. Also the BMW M3 can now be used in the GT events in the career mode although its not very competitive against the other cars in that event. Still have to buy the Vette and the Aston Martin but so far the Viper is my favorite car out of the GT cars followed closely by the Ferrari F458.

Forza Motorsport 5 is now discounted to $39.99 and the Car Pass is discounted to $33.49, for Xbox Live Gold members via the Deals With Gold program. You can find these deals from your dashboard menu by selecting the "Get more with Gold" tile under the Featured section:

Announced at Xbox's E3 Press Briefing, the Nurburgring expansion is free for all players, delivered via content update available today, June 9. 2.8GB.




The update adds the following content to the game:

• 3 new tracks: Nordschleife + GP, Nordschleife, and GP Circuit
  
• The tracks are integrated into Career as well as Free Play and Multiplayer modes
  
• 10 new Achievements related to the track worth 200 GS points
  
• Rivals events added to Spec Challenge and Track Days, plus the 3 tracks in each Time Attack class
  
• 5 new cars - 1989 Audi #4, quattro IMSA GTO, 1967 Brabham BT24, 2013 Formula Ford EcoBoost 200, 1956 Lotus Eleven, 1939 Maserati 8CTF, free for Car Pass owners (currently discounted via Deals With Gold).

The Nurburgring Booster Pack is an add-on available to any edition of the game. The pack adds 5 cars to the game roster. The pack is free for Car Pass owners or $4.99 otherwise, and can be purchased from the in-game Marketplace or the dashboard Store.



If you are a Car Pass owner there is no need to try to download this pack from the Store or in-game Marketplace since the cars were added to the Buy and Rent car lists by the required content update. DLC owners can buy one of each DLC model for free the first time from Buy Cars; subsequent purchases of the same model will require credits or tokens. All DLC cars are available for free rental use in Free Play and Multiplayer modes.

On the Horizon: Drive 500 miles in a Lamborghini. Challenge ends 34 days from now.
Speed Medal: Earn 20 medals in Multiplayer while driving in an American Street Muscle car. (The Ford F-100 qualifies). Challenge ends 34 days from now.

I have the VIP Pass and the Car Pass, and, I would like to know if one can get access to cars not included within (such as the Day One Car Pack, Limited Edition Car Pack, VIP Car Pack) what I have. Can I purchase these? Thanks!

You would have to buy a packaged game marked Day One or Limited Edition with the printed DLC code still inside and unused to get those cars, because they aren't available to buy from the Marketplace. Likewise the three single DLC cars (special livery Audi, Camero, and MP4-12C) were promotional and you'd have to get the code from someone who received it.

i hope the next dlc that car pass owner's is cheap or discounted for us being car pass holders. i love all the dlc i can get but spending even more after the season pass expires at full price sucks we should get some sorta discount on future dlc.
