This trial was originally the one for the Apollo when it was first released. It is not easy and taking a car which has sufficient grip in the wet is essential.

Porsche 906 up for vote is cool. I have x2 and it's probably my favourite car in the game now. Monster at Forzathon live and brutally fast even in snow and ice. It's fun keeping up and overtaking the fastest cars in it. Accelerates like a cartoon.

Does anybody have any tips as to which car is the least useless in the trial?

Edit: I finally got into a session where we succeeded. I drive a 2016 Lamborghini Superveloce with a tune made by Devilish Accord (168 476 092).

The Zonda C and Lambo Centenario are near meta in wet conditions. The TSR is also very good as it is the Lego Senna.

I’ll work through a few more but looks like the Senna may well be the best Hypercar for New Town. Suspect the tables turn in favour of the Zonda on the other trial tracks, with more straights:

Senna - 1.33.777 <NAJA Mago>
Zonda C - 1.34.261 <Scaans>
Veneno - 1.34.853 <Vital Reaper X>
Huayra BC - 1.34.887 <Grandma Driving>
Centenario - 1.34.912 <Scaans>
Venom - 1.35.045 <DaddyBee42>
16 Aventador - 1.35.128 <Vital Reaper X>
Lego Senna - 1.35.187 <Nalak28>
Zerouno - 1.35.295 <JumpyArdvarkITA>
Zenvo TSR - 1.35.395 <Nalak28>
McLaren P1 - 1.35.471 <Nalak28>
Porsche 918 - 1.35.479 <Vital Reaper X>

Each season has a particular barn find hint. If you've already collected it, there's no new seasonal find. That information is for newer players who may not have collected these barn finds.

I’ve updated this with a few more cars and added the tunes used. I think that covers most of the best Hypercars but if anyone thinks there is something else good out there, suggest it and I’ll add it.

For the trial, the Zonda is probably the best option as that is also strong in the rain. The Senna is excellent for courses 1 and 3 but a bit more difficult to drive in the rain at Railyard - still capable of winning easily though.

Of the rest, the Huayra BC, Centenario, Lego Senna and Zenvo are all excellent in the rain. I haven’t tried the others for the trial so they may be a bit slippy in wet conditions.

It matters for nought what type of car you use for the Trial if your team mates turn up in untuned rwd cars.

Couple that with the fact that nearly every single Trial i did (and that was well over 30 yesterday), a majority have to play smash em ups right from the beginning.

Why i kept putting myself through the frustration of competing with idiotic players i don't know. I came across less than a handful of really good drivers and even with them the rest of the team just couldn't cut it.

S2, in the wet and against unbeatable drivatars, is not an achievable win for many in my eyes. I'm pretty sure i made the same statements last time they ran this Trial.

Regarding The current Trial, I too have struggled to get past the first race after 12 different Trials so far. Either I'm clubbed with non-prestige noobs smashing their way with their non-tuned S918 Lambos or being thrown in with a load of amateurs who give up after 30 seconds.
This season has for some reason way too many Street-Scene events. I personally despise these ones.

Yeah the trial is impossible. I tried it the whole day, at least 50 times and it wouldnt have been possible to win even if i had won every race. Impossible to get with all the noobs!

How odd. I’ve done the trial about 10 times and my teams of randoms have won all of them despite being nothing special. The combination of people dropping out and the AI being bugged at street trials so they often don’t register as finishing means that, as long as you don’t quit, you’ll be very unlucky not to win fairly quickly if you are able to pick up decent points yourself.

Well i'd say your getting lucky. Of the 30 plus i have done i'd say that the win/lose ratio is probably 60/40. I have noticed the glitch will not kick in with the AI's if say i win and the 3 remaining team mates all fill the last positions. Pot luck.

Yesterday i had people in Bugatti Chirons, not tuned, and Regara's (again not tuned) with rwd and they were hopeless. They couldn't even get off the starting grid. Then there was the players who think ramming everyone so they can get first is somehow helping the team when it doesn't and don't get me going on the corner bombers who knock you off track when you are just about to be in position to take number 1 spot, i mean seriously??? why would they do that.

When i had decent team mates, the Trial ran smoothly and the AI glitch wasn't needed for the wins. When it was bad team mates i could tell the race was dead in the water halfway through the second after losing the first (as a team).

All it takes is for one driver to knock into everyone on the starting corners and the AI are off into the distance and if it's that Lego cars then depending on how far they got ahead it's not an easy task to run them down.

This Trial caused nightmares last time they ran it.

Oh yes, it’s definitely luck that all of them have been wins. Id expect to usually be at about 70%. I was more commenting on the fact someone had lost 50 in a row. It’s hard to understand how that’s possible unless they are quitting midway through race 1 every time.

I don't even see how someone could do 30 in one day anyway. I was playing all night yesterday and didn't even have time to try the trial.

edit: Just now tried for the first time this season and we won. I was leading the first race and just plain crashed, I don't what everyone else did but we lost that race. I came in 2nd the second race and we won in a landslide. Third race I scraped a building that stopped me completely but somehow one of my teammates and ALL of the drivatars still finished behind me and we still won. Easy shmeasy.

Maybe there's more grownup players in the middle of the night? Anyways this is the second season in a row where I got a team full of good drivers. If you're doing 30 trials a day and losing every time, you must be doing something wrong. I can't imagine.

Well This is how I did it this time, maybe it can be of any use to somebody :)
As expected the trial is a giant mess - drivatars flying everywhere, same goes for other players (Rimac is the best for it) :/
First try and I got T boned on first corner by mentioned Rimac, then pushed out on straight by someone in Ferrari ... Esc - Quit
Second go and again pushed out on first corner, but not too bad, just to drop all the way back, worked up to second, bested by drivatar.
Second race and got surrounded by drivatras, slowed to stop and then pushed into the stone fence ... worked to winning the race.
Last race and I forgot the turn somewhere in the city ... ended 3rd after 2 drivatars.
Still won the trial 3:0
So street scene S2 998 trial and as mentioned before, I used:
Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster, tune - 175 062 114
or McLaren Senna, tune - 462 648 595

Huh, so messy part out of the way, lets get to some relaxing driving in solo championships.
Starting with some dirt racing with A 800 super saloons, so I could finally bring out my Alfa Romeo Giulia
Alfa Romeo Giulia, tune - 129 973 624
or BMW Series 1 M Coupe, tune - 103 264 539

Next to street scene B 700 with Toyotas
Toyota Supra RZ, tune - 152 768 772

Finishing with more street scene, this time with B 700 retro sports cars
Since I wasn't in the mood to switch to manual shifting for Nissans, I just reused
Toyota Supra RZ, tune - 152 768 772

To PR stunts and used Koenigsegg Agera RS, tune - 167 849 655 for danger sign and speed trap, used McLaren Senna, tune - 176 256 116 for speed zone.
Or Mosler MT900S, tune - 148 148 788 for speed trap and danger sign.

Super 7 weekly reward is Chevrolet Corvette C8 '20

Weekly Forzathon cars are a pick among retro saloons, I picked Mercedes Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evo, A 800 tune - 585 692 741 and BMW M5 '03, S2 tune - 428 826 857 for danger sign.

Finishing pic:

Take care everyone and as always ... have fun :), bb

These would be my tips for doing a trial like this:

1. If you are a relatively new player, try and do a bit of research on the best car and tune to use. For example, the Centenario and Senna are both strong here and everyone has those cars as gifts. Apply a recommended tune and you at least know that you have a car which is capable of doing well;

2. If you aren’t familiar with the tracks and have time, try and run through them offline first in the car you have chosen;

3. Once in the trial, be patient. Your aim in the first couple of corners is to avoid bad drivers. I tend to stay very close to the inside of those first couple of corners to minimise risk of getting taken out by someone who can’t brake. You don’t need to be first at 10% and the road will gradually become clearer as the bad drivers fall away. Always be considerate of other drivers - you need everyone to do well if the team is going to win;

4. If you are at the front end of the race, never quit before you have lost 2-0. There are two reasons for this. First, some teammates near the back will often quit when they see that the team isn’t going to win (one player at the back quitting is an instance 600 point swing) and secondly there is a bug (particularly at street races) which means the lead AI cars sometimes/often don’t finish races - this again can create a huge swing in the score late in the race.

If you follow the above, you should get through these events relatively painlessly.

Just popped in and seen your comment.

I didn't say i lost 30 trials in a row.

I actually won with my team mates the first go, i just put myself through 29 odd more for the joy/pain of it.

Not every Trial is easy scheezy and believe me sunshine, i know how to drive.

I am not a newby by any stretch.

I think he’s probably referring to the guy who said he’s lost at least 50 times and confusing the numbers Rex. I think your post was quite clear that you’d won the majority.
