I just bought a Logitech G920 wheel with pedals and shifter. While playing the game, I spin out and can’t control my vehicle even in a 4wd. It feels like severe understeer when I try and drift. When I switch to controller I have full control and can use the ebrake without loosing control. I have used the wheel on other games such as Dirt 4 and it works completely fine. Is the wheel faulty or are there settings I need to change?

For drifting you need to be on a controller. Drifting with Motorsport 7 and Horizon 4 with a wheel is hopeless.
