Is there a good list out there with a list of software that can use FH4's data out feature along with capabilities?
I've seen a few pieces of software via Google searches but I'd like to hear what experienced FH4 tuners have to say.

I'd like something with a decent GUI that I can have along side my game that will let me focus on trying to drive consistently then review the data.

interesting topic but no clue about external apps, hope you'll get some feedback. May be you could start with sharing your findings?

I've experimented with Sim Dashboard on Android. It's ok. The main thing I want to do with it is to be able to look at telemetry while still having my HUD (speedometer, revs, gear indicator, minimap) on the screen, which Forza doesn't do. In Forza 7, I run with SIM damage, so I'd like to be able to see my damage without having to select through telemetry. But Forza doesn't output that data either. Or if it does, Sim Dashboard just doesn't have the widget for it. Not in the free version, at least.

The free version of the app, you can only have 3 widgets on a page. So in Horizon, I end up having my speed and revs on the app, so that I can still see those with my telemetry up, and a clock, so that I can tell what time it is IRL. In Forza 7, I have a fuel indicator instead of the clock. But, all that stuff is already on the screen, where I'm already looking. So if I'm not using my telemetry, its redundant.

A huge part of the problem is my setup. I basically just have my phone in a stand on the table in front of me, and I don't really have a convenient spot to put it so that I can see the information I want at a glance. And if I don't have a full charge, I won't be able to use it for more than an hour or so. I live in a rural area without much of a signal, so I don't use my phone a lot at home, and often forget to change it. I could plug it in, but I have enough wires running down here. If I had some kind of SIM rig, it might be of more use.

But another part of the problem is that Forza, both Motorsport and Horizon, just don't output the kind of data I want to see externally. Or if they do, the free version of SIM Dashboard doesn't have widgets to display them. Some of it, it does, but a lot of the telemetry tire camber, temperature, and especially damage display, I just couldn't find.

As a result, I end up only using it when tuning so that I can see my speed, revs, and what gear I'm in while I have the telemetry up. And, only when I remember to charge my battery. And, I haven't gotten enough use out of it to justify springing for the full version of the app.

Someone else, with a better setup might get more use out of it. or if you're content with the widgets it has. But for me, it's very limited.

I went and poked at some of my leads. they fell apart. Most of the software I found is for motion simulators.
One app that actually looks close to what I want is Forza Telemetry TA but it's built on top of some enterprise software called Splunk so I haven't changed it too much further.
The other one is a github project that just logs values but lacks any visualization. https://github.com/richstokes/Forza-data-tools

I haven't followed up on SIM dashboard yet. I'll probably grab the PC version and see if I can get live suspension data out of it.

I also saw this one on Google Play: https://play.google.com/...x.forzadrag&hl=en_US

I'm trying to find something to give me a better view of my suspension and tire data. Tuning camber is pretty straightforward with data in hand. But I'm still pretty clueless on spring rates, damper strength, and ARB strength settings. I'm hoping being able to correlate suspension travel with various other factors can help here (but if someone already has articles with this knowledge, I'd appreciate it being shared).

Tuning for off road use is a total mystery to me. My plan is to take vehicles with their base tunes and see which I get the best times for after accounting for the PI rating. Then I'll look at the telemetry data and see if I can't figure out what I need for that. I've got as couple non-rally, non-off road cars that I've managed to get tuned OK for off-road use through trial and error but I suspect there is more I can squeeze out and I can create some decent dirt cars from unusual starting points.
