Got a few laps in this morning. Having some trouble with the back end pendulum-ing out of control through the first sets of esses, but other than that I'm pretty happy with how it drives. Not sure I'm going to be able to dial the pendulum out given the car's weight distribution, stupid-short wheelbase, and necessarily rear-biased springs. I'll give the telemetry a good eyeball and see if I can't figure something out, though.

Current best: 1:19.1xx

Unrelated fact: I briefly considered buying a Fiat 500 a while back. I think it was a '72, was 100% stock (not sure if it was 100% original or not, but I'm not a collector so I don't really care), and was painted the most hideously appropriate seafoam-meets-mint green color. They wanted $5k CDN for it (it was in Toronto), so probably around $4,500 USD at the time. Kinda wish I'd sprung for it; no way I could afford one in the same condition now.

Shared my Mini tune if the wheel guys would like to try it. Using sim steering for this car. Did 1:16.2 with this tune.

Thanks for sharing Coop - it took me about 40 laps but managed to do 1:16.985 with your tune - how I got away clean through the 'evil' corner before the last split I will never know. I was convinced any second it would be flagged may have even lost a little bit of time whilst expecting it to flag up. But still I'll take it any day of the week.

That's jumped me up a couple of places on the LB and to 14th overall - got to be pleased with that. As a side bonus, I don't need to put my heating on, as this course has me working up a sweat every time.

Glad it help you. You got a pretty big improvement on your time.

Just watched your replay, you lost about 1/2 sec in the first sat of S turns (turns two, three and four mostly). You still have time to to clean that up. Good luck

New PB 1:15.9xx must be something to with a car with my name in it.

Tweaked the setup a bit. Car's a bit easier to drive now, though still not what I'd call neutral. Also tried a NA build (because I can't resist tinkering with things), but wasn't crazy about how it drove. Would probably be OK with a bit of refinement, but the supercharged version's pretty solid so I'm going to stick with that. Setup uploaded as HLC S4.06 VIR v2.

Current best: 1:18.5xx

Ran a 1:18.3 that I'm fairly sure was pre-dirtied but otherwise clean, and there's a bit more left in the car beyond that. Thinking I can hit 1:17s if I can manage another session. Just gotta keep it together through the esses.

I've given up for the night, managed a dirty 1:16.3 but just can't seem to do clean and fast at the same time on this course. Will try and squeeze in a last run after work tomorrow but need to get some shut eye now as getting late.

All I needed to reach racing Nirvana was .07..... did manage to find a touch more at 1:20:9xx but it was not to be because the bloody thing was dirty. Now I’m out of time for the week (again)..... so let’s move on.....

Official time..... VIR Patriot Alt..... HLR BURNINASPHALT..... Subaru 360...... 1:21:074 😎

Out of time here, as well. Got a few dirty 1:18.1s, was consistently hitting dirty 1:18.2s that I'm fairly confident could have been clean. 1:17 is out there, but I'm not finding it this week.

Just wanted to put this out there.... 😀

Plus 1 on this or something similar. If picking P class it would be good to pick a track where the C9 is not dominant. Wat glen would work or Brands hatch. Dubai also but we did that some time ago.

Found this track a bit too frustrating to spend too much time on. Suspect I could go into the 16s with the Mini and I didn’t try the Beetle but will have to content myself with the 17.0 i did a few days ago in the 360.

I managed to improve ever so slightly on my last gasp set of runs tonight 1:16.704 that's P10 worldwide for now, not often I can say that lol.

I guess a mixture of desperation and determination can pay off sometimes!

Tough to run VIR Patriot Alt fast and clean, but little to choose between 3 of the cars. The VW Beetle, Mini Cooper S, and Subaru 360 were all competitive here.

The final leaderboard:

Congratulations to our podium drivers!
1st place: HLR PRKid
2nd place: Coopracing
3rd place: minsons

For week 7 we are off to Road Atlanta to run the cars proposed by BurninAsphalt. Unfortunately it wasn't practical to run Watkins Glen, which had already been run by some of our drivers, but thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks Kid - I might not be all that quick but I am trying.

First time on the board for this challenge 46.153 just pipped DragginxSlayer1 who was my only friend with a time on the board. Although in the time it took me to do that it looks like Smoke is just ahead in one of your tunes.

Might have to give that a go - pretty sure mine was just stock.

A bit of a change of pace from the Mini's wasn't sure I'd be able to handle it on the wheel but to be fair, so far so good, although I'm a good distance away from the top times on here. Another top 10 is erm unlikely.

Only had a quick go last week. Really dont like that particular track, would have developed into a controller breaker ;)

Loving this week however. Absolutely love the Early Prototype cars. Had a good run in an HLC at Monza in season 1. But .... before i get to them, had to give some love to the Forza P1 class.

46.053 #19 Porsche 919. Car is a grip beast. Based off a quick tune I use in the Cycled Division hoppers. Shared as always.

Keep at it Burnin! The car certainly has some good GRIP which helps thru those sweepers. Good luck!

Good choice of car class and track. Is there any reason Why the #18Aston Martin AMR1 is not on the Early prototypes list? It’s a lot of fun on the short tracks and sounds better than the 787b. :). Will be quite competitive also.
