Heads up - the current Microsoft Store timer for the sale on Forza Horizon 3 editions coincides with the four-year anniversary of its release (9/27/2016). This is the typical timeline for End of Life, where the game and DLC is removed from the Store.

Announced August 11, 2020 for End of Life on 9/27/2020:
"Forza Horizon 3 is headed towards "End of Life" status, and we're celebrating the Australian festival with a sale on the Standard and Ultimate Editions! Visit https://msft.it/6017TUBPS for all the details!"^
"When a game reaches "End of Life", that means it and its DLC will no longer be available for purchase in the Microsoft Store. However, features like multiplayer and online services will still be accessible for those that own the game."

I have an Xbox copy, but play on PC now, so I want to pick FH3 up for PC before it gets delisted. So, which version to buy.......

I never got that deeply into FH3, as FH4 came along when I was still just doing the bare minimum in each game to collect the reward points.

My question is, what are the meta cars for rivals in FH3? I'm trying to work out which important cars I'll miss out on if I only get the base game (which is all I had on Xbox). If you get Ultimate plus the expansion pass, plus the 3 car packs not included in car pass, it's still not actually all that cheap!

What are the chances the complete pack comes back before the end? History says yes, but ....

Although we saw this coming, it's a damn shame "Ultimate" is not really Ultimate. In the past, they used to release "Platinum Hits" versions of the games that included all the DLC on disc.

They really need to relist the complete DLC bundle, would be messed up if they didn't. Many are asking about it.

And preferably for a realistic price. In the UK store it's currently £44.11 to get FH3 with all cars (except for the exclusives). This is more like the price of a new release than a 4 year old end of life game.

Yeah, it kinda sucks. It's misleading that the 'Ultimate' edition is what the 'standard' edition should be in the first place and that the standard is just a bit more than a paid demo. If you want the complete game with all cars and DLC it will cost more than a modern AAA game. This is just pure greed.

LOL, no. Ultimate edition was ultimate. Horizon 4 destroyed everything and for few bucks you get the bast game ever and with unbelievable content.

All cars and DLC should cost 5 times normal AAA game. Normal AAA games are usually short trash.

I wish they would fix all the bugs before abandoning the game.

I REALLY hope they discount every piece of DLC and not just a collection of everything. It's a real slap in the face if you only need like two car packs or something, but they are not on sale, so you might as well buy the complete DLC package which is basically the same price after discount.

Personally I have the car pass and the expansion pass, but nothing else. I'd like the Hoonigan and the Porsche pack (maybe even VIP), but it would suck if I would have to pay full price for both. Might as well have gotten them years ago.

I would love it if they would release a preorder car pack. Wanted the GT350, but got the Mercedes because Xbox dashboard and Microsoft store are considered different for some reason, even though it takes out of the same account associated with the profile. I don’t have high hopes because why make ALL the cars available? That’s silly. /s
