Wow, that's it. I am not sure what is it but you can counter steer faster which was the biggest problem. That's funny because I played for last 3 years with simulation and it worked differently than in Horizon and other games. So normal in Motorsport 7 means simulation in other games.
There are now 3 different steering settings in the game, assisted, normal, and sim.
Assisted is the setting that countersteers for you, it's a bit like lane keep assist on normal cars, it will attempt to follow the race line. Normal is the usual steering we have had for a while (if it's changed I haven't noticed) where your turn in is pretty much 1 to 1 to control inputs, but the counter steer is smoothed out so the range on countersteer input goes from neutral to slightly past what you need to get out of a slide. Sim is 1 to 1 ish, that's why turn in feels the same but counter steering feels twitchy.
