Yea it doesn't really say much just to win a cross country race which I've won 4 but it wont pop, it doesn't really say if its ment to be on a certain one or level either.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's definitely a circuit race. you can tell by the icon.

It’s weird that the challenge’s description in english is incomplete, but is complete in french.

How is it incomplete? I just checked it in-game, it says 'Complete a Cross Country Circuit event'.

Wow, I have overlooked Max’s post. I was going to mention about translation issues. Those happened in the past.

Which language do you use in the game? English version tells you directly that you must complete a circuit race.

I don't think the specific car the AI is using means anything. People have pointed out before that you can have something like a Ford Focus keeping up with hypercars when the AI is using it, it's basically just a cosmetic effect, the AI isn't actually using that car in terms of performance. I normally choose the next car to try based more on what other humans are doing well with. That was what got me onto the C10, though when I tried the C10, there was another player doing well that trial with the VW Bug, so that may well also be good, I just haven't tried it myself yet. The Cholla, Mini JCW and Polaris are all best avoided based on my experience with them, mostly due to instability and hence a risk of a race going really badly, rather than them not being fast enough if a race passes without incident.

Yeah, that is likely right, makes sense about the system not 'really' using a particularly car, and only emulating the P.I. .. and expected performance for the race - hesitate on the last as buggies clearly don't 100% do this, they do seem boosted somewhat beyond the class/P.I./race setting. I use this aspect you mention, about any car can kind of beat any A.I. car in a same P.I. race, as the system matches you, i.e. a under preforming car is okay to a certain extent while solo, to have some fun with odd-ball choices when doing solo racing.

Incidentally, the buggies beating me while testing tunes were those you mention, the Cholla, Mini JCW and Polaris, which when I tried them the system would then beat me with the Baja bug, the car I couldn't beat them with previously - amusing if it wasn't frustrating.

Funny thing, as I find Alumi Craft unstabile and Bug just fine :)
Ow and I drive with keyboard.

Anyway, good luck and have fun everyone.

PS
I don't do too much thinking when tuning, just go with what comes best imo and ofc its handling first.

When I load into the game and try to go do the seasonal challenges for the cars, there's nothing there. like I can see the season is summer but I cant click on it and it shows no season completion rewards. is anyone else experiencing this?

Easter buggy is stupid hard. I went 5 hours trying to beat it with every buggy and every tube imaginable and no matter what you can’t beat the AI. It’s also kinda stupid how ur team leaves cause the AI and all the AI are way ahead of ur team at the start of the race... couldn’t like be the other way around cause they are just going to catch up to you anyway. Long story short is fix this trial cause it’s impossible

Just had a few more runs at the trial. A few thoughts:

1. It’s definitely the Can-Ams which are particularly overpowered in drivatar form. If they aren’t in it, it’s still tough but not too much more than a standard cross country event;

2. My personal preference of the tunes I tried is El Barto’s bug tune. It’s all round performance and consistency on the three courses seemed unmatched. That said, Bree’s Alumicraft tune is also excellent, particularly in the wet conditions in the second and third races;

3. The Polaris probably has the edge in speed on both of the above cars but is a lot harder to drive. It’s launch is very useful though if there are Can-Ams in the race. Because you can get close to them fairly swiftly off the line, they don’t phase through objects and, as they Can-Ams are very light, their speed is drastically reduced;

4. I’ve yet to do a trial where anyone other than me (and Bree when we were in the same one) has beaten more than three drivatars in more than one race. The only trials I’ve won are ones where we’ve been down to three or less players by race 2.

Even with GOLD we still need to be able to hit 80% offline.

The game is bugged, I can't get a match, there is no way to complete this week's goals to unlock the top reward.
That means the series 21 reward is probably borked as well.

Can Playground/Microsoft get the bug patched before next thursday? Good question.
Even if they can, my schedule doesn't necessarily allow that. Not that my schedule is their problem, but if online functionality isn't reliable enough they need to waive the requirements for this week.
Or even better change the requirements permanently to allow completion offline.

In general I think it's bad policy to have significant game progress tied to online features (at least with time sensitive content).

Both the season rewards are easily available in auction. Same for the 80% season car, and all but the Drift Corvette. New week at least 2 scarce cars fairly accessible, the Mk3 Supra and the E92 GTS. Pretty much boring choices save for the couple new ones. Not motivating me to pre-order anything, FM or FH.
If you want one owner cars, It doesn't seem worth the frustration. Certainly not if you have the cars, and even if you don't.

Hello all,

Cars/tunes/suggestions for this weeks seasonal events, plus PR stunts, for those that find such useful. All tunes are my own, all shared by myself. ~ tune name / share code. If you use anything offered here, and you like it/it was useful to you, please don't forget to leave a like.

**Car used: 1969 VW Class 5/1600 Baja Bug (Autoshow 60,000 Cr)
**Tune: B700 CC Offroad / 775 102 937

A lot has been said about this trial, and my experience just mirrors what others have said, although I got lucky and had a reasonable team and won the event on first try. ...The tune is AWD and and turbocharged.

**Seasonal Playground Games | Rail Yard | (A800) GT Cars
**Car used: 2017 Bentley Continental Supersports (Autoshow 200,000 Cr)
**Tune: A800 Games RY / 118 737 510

... tune runs AWD as standard, sport tires also standard (no room to upgrade tires), has rally suspension. ... As competitive as the other cars I saw in the event, easy to drive, no surprising handling ticks.

PR Stunts:
-Derwent Water Speed Zone, 1978 Hoonigan Ford Escort RS1800 - 'S900 Rally Trial' (680 307 281),
-Moorhead Wind Farm Speed Trap, 2019 Rimac Concept Two, ... stock will easily do this trap,
-Bamburgh Castle Danger Sign, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - 'PR Stunt Rally' (120 633 544).

Solo championships - Raced against Expert, Steering: Simulation, ABS: on, Traction/Stability; Off, Gearbox: Auto.

**Championship: Championship: "Wood Friday" | Road Racing | (D500) Woody Cars

I have tunes for all three choices here - strange selection, as there would have to be quite a few cases where a player would only have access to one of these, same for the Renault event. All of these tunes are running rally tires, the best option fit for balancing handling with some power. First up the Ford:

**Car used: 1946 Ford Super Deluxe Wagon (Autoshow 75,000 Cr)
**Tune: D500 Road / 143 592 350

This one has the highest top speed, however it takes some time to reach it, this means the A.I. will pass you at the start, never fear you can catch them. The tune has no issue in the two sprint events (expert dif.), but while the event is winnable, the tune/car suffers in the circuit event, getting blocked by the A.I. and any sort of bumping can lead to a lot of/too much time playing catch up. A FYI, I did try this in the circuit (should be little issue on sprints) on unbeatable, and I found I could not win on multiple tries, starting at the pack of the track lead to me always running out of race before I could catch the lead, this maybe my skill, I am unsure. This is a RWD tune.

**Car used: 1953 Morris Minor Series II Traveler (Car Pass, Autoshow 25,000 Cr)
**Tune: D500 Road / 175 237 746

The best all rounder, and the choice I would make if choosing, this was the easiest car to win in, no real issues to talk of. Tune is supercharged, RWD, also no front bumper (if this is a look you don't like). I have a suggestion for a livery for this one - works really well with the wheels, livery is let down by bad naming, otherwise: 'Forza Livery' (181 117 020) by LL TonAd LL.

**Car used: 1965 Morris Mini-Traveller (HtF)
**Tune: D500 Road / 162 890 694

Watch out for the Ford, it will knock this car way off track. Smooth and easy to drive. The only issue I had was the system decided one of my opponents should be then same model, only running on rails - with rockets, this happened on a few tries at the event, however you can catch and beat this rocket provided you don't get too many issues while passing the rest of the pack. Tune is FWD, turbo, Forza rear air (P.I. hack), no rear bumper, front lights, and mud flaps.

**Championship: "Koenigsegg Hunt" | Street Scene | (S2 998) Koenigsegg models
**Car used: 2011 Koenigsegg Agera (Autoshow 1,500,000 Cr)
**Tune: S2 Road / 941 450 712

Normal street scene event, normal street scene issues. It did notice today that the A.I. predicts and reacts to oncoming/upcoming traffic before it is viable, i.e. blind corner, traffic is not viable, impossible to see, A.I. will move to go around it - so there is the A.I. again cheating the system. Tune is AWD, full Forza air, race tires. Extra note, if doing the Horizon Promo task, taking a photo just on starting the event should/could get you every Koenigsegg in the game in one click.

**Championship: "Scrambled Megss" | Dirt Racing | (601-800) Family Model: Renault Megane
**Car used: 2010 Renault Megane R.S. 250 (Autoshow 30,000 Cr)
**Tune: B700 Dirt / 143 038 105

B class tune, using the car with an unmodified engine, in my game this lead to a 'promo' or manufacturer one model event, where all opponents where identical P.I. cars. Great in the dirt, FWD, goes pretty much in the direction the front wheels are pointed . Stock unmodified engine, rally tires/suspension.

Cheers.

I'm sorry but i don't have any problems at all doing this weeks festival playlist.

Apart from the OP and indestructable AI in the Trial (which can be won with patience which i do get short on) i haven't encountered anything unusual.

Personally i like the Festival Playlist as it keeps me engaged with the game, without it i would have become very bored a long time ago, as i have completed everything that needs completing.

What exactly is bugged anyway?

I thought the same at first but then i tried the VW Baja Buggy and have had great success. The Alumi Craft is good too apparently but i haven't raced it yet.

I seriously think to get the most and stay with the leaders though you will need to race in manual with assists off and don't give the AI an inch or they will take a mile.

I don't know if this will seem blindingly obvious or not, but my tip for people who are struggling is to learn the tracks in rivals. You can do the Trial over and over again but you won't become as good as you will doing rivals. In the Trial, you don't have a known good ghost to copy lines from, and some of your attention has to go on other cars rather than the track. So take your pick of the Alumi Craft C10 or the VW Baja Bug (I have shared tunes for both, or El Barto Inc's Bug tune seems to be liked by controller or keyboard users), and do rivals against the highest placed ghost in the same car. Then when you do the Trial, yes, you won't be able to follow the same lines as you'll have to improvise around the other cars, but you'll do massively better for having become good at time trialling all 3 tracks first.

I got the Trial in the VW Baja bug with 'betinhogvz' his tune. The tune from 'El Barto inc' is easier to drive but its lacks a little bit acceleration for my driving style. With 'betinhogvz' his tune i won races, where with 'El Barto inc' tune i was always 2nd or 3th at best. I'm glad the Trial is done for me after 15 attemps.

So far for this week, I've got the Weekly, the Trial, and the PGG completed. Two of these were fun, one was not. I'll let you take a guess as to which is which.

Weekly Challenge:
Must be done in sequence to count, all completed within the season to earn completion.
* Own and drive any Vintage Racer
* Earn 2 Showoff Skills in your Vintage Racer
Car(s) used:
Napier Railton and Auto Union D
Tunes:
Napier - Railcar - 657 027 607
Auto Union - Das Modell - 160 315 412

I initially went with the Railton first because it was the newest one and most people probably snagged it last month. While I had a good build on it, it didn't have enough top speed for me. But I didn't rectify that until the next step. To do the Showoffs, I just went to the Drag event on the highway. This is where I realized how cruddy the top speed was on my Railton build. So I built the Auto Union to speed things up so to speak.
* Earn a total of 12 stars from Speed Traps with your Vintage Racer

I just kept going back and forth on the M68's speed trap until I had enough starts. Can't remember how many it took me, but I'm sure it wasn't any more than 6.
* Earn 3 podium finishes in Road Racing Series events with your Vintage Racer
Track Used: Bamburgh Vintage Sprint - 282 976 072

A rework of a quick track I made for another weekly, just changed to be for Vintage Racers. It's at the Bamburgh Road Racing spot. The AI takes the first left while you can just keep going straight to the finish. I even flipped between the Railton and the Auto Union for this.

The Trial Co-Op Championship: "Easter Buggy" | Cross Country | (B700) Offroad Buggies
Car Used: AlumiCraft Class 10
Tune: B700 AWD [by Dont Giva Deuce] - 791 830 141

I gave up trying to tune for this one. Tried tuning a Desert Dingo because 'logic' told me that a Volkswagen would have a 'better' engine than a buggy. Couldn't get a good tune on the gearbox. But I took the losses to see what was winning, which was the Can-Am Maverick. I didn't want to use that because I know some people don't have it, so I went with the next on the list: the AlumiCraft. Using the ForzaTuner site, I ignored their gearing because I didn't like the speed on it. It did just as poorly as my Dingo, especially trying to go up the mountain. So I retuned it with their gearing, and.. it was a little better, but still sucked. Didn't help that the team this time were a bit bounce-happy... and that I hit a barn on the first race. Finally went with the tune I downloaded, which was a bit better but still not the best. We won, and I just said 'forget it' from there.

Seasonal Playground Games | Rail Yard | (A800) GT Cars
Car(s) Used
Quartz Regalia and Bentley Continental GT Speed
Tunes:
Regalia - Bahamut - 317 944 528
Bentley - Pangea - 110 721 832

THIS PGG was much more fun that I've had with them in a while. I did it first with the Regalia just for the fun of it. VERY nice tune, able to fling it around to lose the infected or to dodge, and just enough grunt in the engine. After I got done, I decided to see how much the Regalias were going in the Auction House...

Then I built the Bentley to be a low-cost alternative. (I bought a Regalia at about 5 million credits, tuned it, and flipped it for a (deliberately) massive loss). I even took the the Bentley back into the PGG to make sure it was a viable alternative. And indeed it was. Has a similar zip and movement as the Regalia.

I'll get back to you tomorrow for the weekly Championships. One reason it's taking so long is I'm tuning all three cars for Wood Friday.

And before someone goes bananas thinking I was using hax to picture unreleased cars - just create a blueprint, choose the car you want to drive and the unreleased car. Easy as 1-2-3.

Having a text would have meant localization of it for each and every countries, such is taking weeks and comes with a cost. they could have made it an achievement but they certainly considered some would complain ....

I am glad they added a deactivation button, first thing I did after the release of this.
