All tunes are mine, all done the same way.
Did try GD tune and did more or less the same, as with my own.

Still I prefer Daytona on this case.

Easy trial this week, won all 3 races + team won easily in them all too, 3 lazy people even used stock Lola's and were still able to contribute something in all 3 races + all beat a 512 S 44PI pts higher than the Lola.

1 thing I have been wondering, are we ever going to see a seasonal community championship again? They were much more enjoyable than the 'series of 3 races you've already been through countless times already' that are the only thing we get now.

At this stage I'd rather have 3 bad races that I've never seen before over 3 ones I enjoy in the game, just for the sake of some variety.

I am having problems completing chapter 4 of the weekly forzathon challenges, which consists of earning a 3 star rating at the Derwent Water Speed Zone. I have completed it with almost every retro rally car and i earn a 3 star rating every time, yet it will not complete the challenge for me. Is there a requirement that i am missing?

If you already had 3 stars, it will show 3 stars every time after that, i.e. the stars show the best you have ever achieved, not what you just did. You need to average over 95mph for 3 stars, which isn't all that easy in the snow.

I've tried all 3 now, solo race in winter against the AI, easiest difficulty to try to eliminate random variations from the AI. I drove each car 3 times, and took the best time.

Alfa 33S GD's S1 Dirt tune (2.1 handling) 3:02.818
Ferrari #24 P4 tuned myself (2.2 handling) 3:04.578 (noticeably slower but more grippy vs the 33S)
Shelby Daytona tuned myself (1.8 handling) 3:04.252 (noticeably less grippy than the 33S, but very high power)

Maybe your tunes of the P4 and Daytona are better than mine, but that's what I did. All 3 will very easily win the Trial though.

Worth trying the Lola as well. Just ran 2.03 in that in the trial.

Great Trial for this week.

Made ten runs on it so far. First I tried with the Pink Pig Porsche but I couldn't get it to work the way I liked. I guess it can be really good on second race with snow tyres though.

Built Ferrari P4 and really liked it. Lot's of wins and podiums. Tune is for Sim-steering and all assists off. It's very stable but easily fast enough to beat any Drivatar. You can squish quite a bit of more time from routes with clutch kicking it, which isn't requirement to beat Drivatars.

Share code: 117 927 476

Drivatar PI matching vs Players Team is bit unpredictable. There was Drivatar counter par for one low PI car, say stock Lola, but if there were several stock Lola's or other low PI cars, PI didn't appeared to match the rest low PI player cars.

For the rest of the events, I really liked C-class rally event. Took stock Renault Alpine on it and had a blast.

I recommend working through the Playlist though, as Toyota 2000GT turned out to be really great car. I did Street Scene run with stock and had really good time with it, perhaps winter added to my experience but it has surprising performance for D-class car and very clear character to it in a way it handles, definitely not boring and must have. Definitely going to take it again through Street events during spring or summer.

So very true.

33S and TZ2 are so beautiful in their handling and have the speed to win practically all the time.

Shared both mine if anyone is interested in giving them a go.

Thoroughly enjoyed this weeks Trial and have been doing quite a few to help others.

Unlike my slow response time last week, I actually have everything done but the weekly challenge and the PPG at this point. So it's time for my show-and-tell for the week's events.

The Trial Co-Op Championship: "Snow Returns" | Road Racing | (S1 900) Classic Racers
Car Used: Ford Lotus Cortina
Tune: Colin - 813 092 794

I felt like being a cheeky bugger in the Trial this week. Everybody else seemed to prefer the Lolas and the 917s, but I decided to see if I could make a good Cortina build. It also seems I was the only one to have the forethought to put snow tires on their car. Only thing I had real issue with was the Shelby King Cobras that two of the Drivatrs had. That, and my teammates having some minor grip issues. But that, and the fact I hit a bridge near the end of the first race, didn't stop my team from sweeping the event.

Showcase Remix: Ride to Anywhere (Hovercraft)
Only have this here as an honorable mention. Wish I had taken a screenshot or made a clip of it, but I ended up going down the mountain backwards and upside-down at one point. Decided not to rewind because I hadn't lost all that much momentum... and still barely beat the hovercraft.

Seasonal Playground Games | Mudkickers' | (S1 900) Rally Monsters
Car To Be Used: 2017 Ford M-Sport Fiesta
Tune: SnowPlow - 911 879 587

I've not actually completed the PGG yet, but I have this Fiesta pre-built from an event a couple months ago that will fit the bill.

Championship: "This Side Up" | Cross Country | (A800) Offroad Buggies
Car Used: 1970 VW Desert Dingo
Tune: Easy Seasonal OP (by AE86Cowboy) - 158 441 167

I had issues trying to get a good tune on the car by myself, so I grabbed a tune I thought might work. This one fit the bill and is named well. Wouldn't call it OP, but it does work.

Championship: "Neither Rain Nor Sleet" | Dirt Racing | (C600) Classic Rally
Cars Used: 1973 Ford Escort RS1600 and 1980 Abarth Fiat 131
Tunes used:
Escort: BlueOval - 179 646 875
Abarth: IceScorpion - 105 657 585

I have two cars here because I first did it with the Escort, but I wasn't completely satisfied with the build. Didn't have the top end I would have liked, and that made it hard to get to and keep a lead. So I had a second go with the Abarth. It had just a little more top end, but it also felt a bit better to me. I couldn't decide which one to actually list, so I decided to just give both tunes.

Championship: "Ice Truckers" | Cross Country | (B700) Trucks
Truck Used: Unimog
Tune: Pentastar - 142 606 115

I tried it with the M-B Racing Truck first, but I couldn't get a tune that could steer. So I gave up and tried the Unimog. Definitely a better build. A bit sluggish off the line, but it caught up with all the Racing Trucks the drivatars were using.

Did five more runs on Trial, this time with '70 Ferrari 512 S, resulting fifteen wins LOL Not everyone has it but that thing is ridiculous!

Tune shared, code: 650 647 081

Gotta say route selection for this Trial is really great. Snow segment at the end of Lakehurst Forest Sprint makes it quite different to Cotswolds Sprint and then last race is a circuit. At first I thought this might have worked so much better during any other season than winter and maybe, but Winter has its perks. Really good that Classic Racers still get some time in the spotlight.

A800 CC Buggies yet again, this time in the snow which mandates AWD. Classic Rally C600 is ok, but not in Winter! B700 Trucks will depend on the track but generally speaking neither the Unimog nor the MB Racing Truck are good drives. Trial requires extensive modification yet again, in cars with bad grip, and S1 Rally Monsters in Winter PGG must be an absolute torment to play.

Yet another unfun month just for another car. :(

C- class dirt: Volvo 242 with Matthewkoma99's tune "Winter season"
At Highly Skilled level AI can't keep up with you. Really easy max points. Just remember that AWD turns with gas.

CC buggies: Exocet with DJS's tune.
Should be quite easy max points.

B-class Merc trucks: Unimog with TenienteMM22's tune "B700 Seasonal"
Again, should be quite easy max points

All of these are easy to drive without assists. I only use automatic transmission.

1050 points for both, 60 per hour, so you need to complete roughly 18 events.
Lets say some won't go so well ... 20 -21 events ... so 3 a day?
Not to mention you also get points for completing Weekly forzathon challenges.

Hi all,

Cars/tunes/suggestions for this weeks seasonal events for those that find such useful. All tunes are my own, unless otherwise noted, all shared by myself (or others). ~ tune name / share code.

**Tune: S1 Classic Snow / 176 742 763

Easy to drive, not too tricky, predictable when it is been difficult. Will easily beat A.I. ... tune is AWD, engine swapped for 3.2L inline six, turbo, Forza air, with rally/snow tires.

**Seasonal Playground Games | Mudkickers' | (S1 900) Rally Monsters
**Car used: 1986 MG Metro 6R4 (Autoshow 125,000 Cr)
**Tune: S900 Games / 102 502 855

.. Not much to say on the tune, there is not many options for upgrades - standard out of the box with rally/snow tires, rally suspension, tune-able aero and AWD.

PR Stunts:
-Coppice Speed Zone, 1978 Hoonigan Ford Escort RS1800 - 'S900 Rally Trial' (680 307 281),
-The Roman Mile Speed Trap, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - 'PR Stunt Rally' (120 633 544),
-Rail Yard Ramp Danger Sign, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - 'PR Stunt Rally' (120 633 544).

Solo championships - Raced against Expert, Steering: Simulation, ABS: on, Traction/Stability; Off, Gearbox: Auto.

**Championship: "This Side Up" | Cross Country | (A800) Offroad Buggies
**Car used: 1969 VW Class 5/1600 Baja Bug (Autoshow 60,000 Cr)
**Tune: A800 Offroad F4T / 900 472 482

Previously used buggies tune, will beat the dreaded Can-Am ~ at least on 'Expert', so should beat it on lower difficulties, higher I am unsure. Tune is AWD, engine swapped for 2L flat 4 turbo.

**Championship: "Neither Rain Nor Sleet" | Dirt Racing | (C600) Classic Rally
**Car used: 1973 Ford Escort RS1600 (Autoshow 73,000 Cr)
**Tune: C600 Rally / 132 887 190

Good driver, easy to handle - apart from it tends to give no warning it is about to break traction, after a few times you can adjust to know the limits. Tune is RWD (because who needs AWD in C class?) with mud-flaps running rally/snow tires, no aero. I found this nice livery for it - check it out if you like: "Castrol Zakspeed" (169 069 804) by mutch3000.

**Championship: "Ice Truckers" | Cross Country | (B700) Trucks
**Car used: 2014 MB Unimog U5023 (Autoshow 100,000 Cr)
**Tune: B700 CC QickChng / 418 559 127

Stable not tippy, good gear changing (close). The Tankpool trucks that the A.I. uses are faster (but grip how? they don't have tires choices, and are not on snow tires) I think, however should be no issue to get around them and keep the lead. Full B class tune, engine swapped for 12.8L inline turbo six.

Cheers.

Just to be sure, you did complete all 3 races for each event right?

And on topic of cars for trial, seem my driving style just doesn't match Alfa Romeo 33S, but I can go much quicker in Alfa Romeo TZ2, altho still a bit shy of Daytona.
If anyone wants to try it for trial, tune 147 891 817

Nowhere near impossible, I did it second try in an S1 99 Lancer. For tips, I did it from the south, cutting a pretty decent amount off the corners, and using rewind if you don't hit it just right. Shouldn't be all that difficult. Do note, though, that it's Retro Rally, not Rally Monsters.

I found your tune for the 2017 Ford M-Sport Fiesta to extremely likable. Great power and stability. Won the first game of PPG that I played with a team today.
Thanks for the recommendation. I spent some to before the game to create a livery so I looked good while racing (lol).
I also purchased a second car to put up on auction with your tune and my livery.
