Saw the seasonal icon on Derwent Valley Rush and at first though the S-Bends Drift Zone was a seasonal PR stunt. Do not need that.

I do have to say that the Championships were kind of fun (except the second one, which is my fault). So I figure I'll just pass on what I used like I tend to do.

Championship: "Next Day Delivery" | Street Scene | (A800) Vans and Utility
Car Used: '14 GTS Maloo
Tune: Bruce - 144 678 469

I got lucky and didn't need to make a new tune for this championship. Had this tune still on the Ute from the last time I used it. I can't remember, but I think it's actually a dirt/off-road build. Still got the job done, and the Roo Bar unintentionally got some work in a few times thanks to the AI traffic.

Championship: "Handle With Care" | Dirt Racing | (A800) Retro Supercars
Car Used: '81 BMW M1
Tune: Gunther - 171 342 818

This one, I wasn't so lucky and had to make a fresh tune. It did well enough, but it wouldn't get past 140 mph and it led to some near-misses at the finish line. I think I'm getting better at reading the torque graph to get the data I need, but I still need to improve.

Championship: "First-Class Postage" | Road Racing | (A800) Modern Sports Cars
Car Used: '09 S2000 CR
Tune: Perfect A Class (Don Joewon Song tune) - 453 226 308

It's an older tune, I already had it on my car, and DJS tends to tune in a way suitable to my driving style. No need to reinvent the wheel, right? (Unless it's Indianapolis in 2005, but I digress...) Nice and smooth through the corners, just how I like to drive it.

Everyone else is using stock cars with bad setups. We had S1 Rallymonsters I think 2 weeks ago, even used the same first track. I don't remember having these issues then.

And to make things even better, we started the first event with only 5 people, then on the next event, we had a 6th person who was in an S2 1998 VW Golf, who proceeded to crash on the first turn. Once again had to quit the event during the 2nd race as there was no chance in hell of the team winning. At this point, I could've done the boring delivery story quicker to get to 50%.

The issue is that this week's Trial IS actually hard. Don't be fooled by the fact that it's dirt. The courses contain bumps that just toss the small rally monsters you're using like ragdolls and very tight turns that are just a pain to get around when you're packing so much acceleration. Plus unlike dirt trials in the past, the AI drives like it's on rails and the first place Drivitar is usually nigh-impossible to catch. There is no room for error here. One crash or missed checkpoint and you've lost.

Civic GRC works really nicely too, also won all events, though had to try 4 times before managed get decent enough teammates.

First 3 try's were absolutely awful, everyone else finishing at the bottom so no overall wins in those runs.

Hi all,

Cars/tunes/suggestions for this weeks seasonal for those that find such useful. All tunes are my own, unless otherwise noted, all shared by myself (or others). ~ tune name / share code.

Online and PR stunts today.

Online first:

**Trial: "What Can Brown Do For You?" | Dirt Racing | (S1 900) Rally Monsters
**Car used: 1978 Hoonigan Ford Escort RS1800 (Autoshow 300,000 Cr)
**Tune: S900 Rally Trial / 680 307 281

Today for me was an example of why the faster classes, S1 - S2, don't work well online unless your internet is perfect (usually less than perfect), the servers hosting are perfect (they are not), and your team mates also have perfect internet (This is not a thing that happens ever). Had to have a few tries to succeed. input lag due to above issue coupled with high speed (S1) and bouncy tracks leads to a/ hitting invisible objects, b/ apparently missing check points, yet for me I can see the flag waving from when I hit it, c/ teleporting team mates and A.I. throwing you off course, out of a corner or into a wall, d/ all of the above. At one point, a car, don't know if team mate or A.I. flew through the air above me and other racers all the while tumbling like it was rolling down a mountain side before finally landing in a spectator area. As it is, we lost 2-1, and the game awarded the prize for winning - nope no idea.
The tune, previous trial tune, tested at that time, test again today for today's event, will beat unbeatable, even the stupid over compensated Forza dirt racer A.I. Tune is AWD swap, turbo, Foza air running rally tires.

**Seasonal Playground Games | Quarry | (B700) Super Hot Hatch
**Car used: 2019 Hyundai Veloster N (Autoshow 30,000 Cr)
**Tune: B700 Games / 125 971 064

Annoying class choice - why B class when all of the Super Hot Hatch choices are either A class, or mid to high P.I. B classes? Tune is FWD - no change, has rally tires, but stock suspension - so stock ground clearance (lucky not really an issue at the quarry arena), and rear Forza air (for neg. P.I. points) - tuned down. Grippy, with good acceleration.

PR Stunts:
-Brookside Speed Zone, 2018 McLaren Senna - 'So Much Grip' (921 240 335) by Don Joewon Song,
-Hythe House Speed Trap, 2019 Rimac Concept Two, rally tires, no tune,
-Ambleside Edge Danger Sign, 1988 BMW M5 FE - 'Windmill Hero' (545 765 943).

That is all for now. Enjoy.

Well, finally completed "The Trial"!

Took about 15 attempts in total and between getting constantly disconnected yesterday and having to quit the first race near the end despite being in 1st or 2nd (not enough points for a win), got it with my own tuned S1-900 "1984 Opel Manta".

If anyone is struggling, try it out (134 468 777). It's absolute beast, but easy to drive/slide with TCS & SC switched off (haven't tried it with those switched on).

Came 1st/2nd/3rd and the 2nd and 3rd places were on purpose in order to hold back AI while some of my other team, who seemed to be half decent (not ramming) could make the break.

2850 points to 800 on two of the rounds is a convincing win after all the bad runs I had in this weeks trial!

Glad its out of the way, but I may do it again in the Opel Manta for fun to terrorise the AI. LOL

Agree with the comment above that the AI seems more competent than is often the case in dirt trials. I won all three in the Hoonigan RS200 but it took me longer to catch the lead AI than would normally be the case an none of my teammates got into the top 3.

Reading some of the above comments, I don’t understand why people capable of winning quit in race 1. Race 1 is often the hardest (as I think is the case here), teammates are getting used to the cars and, most importantly, the slower drivers often quit midway through race 2 when they can see a win isn’t happening.

In my case, we lost race 1 by miles (my 650 plus I think 200 from one other) and were well behind in race 2. About midway through, three of the team quit and we won 950-900 (650+300+0). The last race then proved easier with both remaining teammates contributing points. I’d always carry on until the end of race 2 because people will often drop out, completely changing the dynamic.

I was playing around a bit with Mortimer gardens circuit (set as Trail), to test few cars and:
- lapping at around 50 sec, easy win, no AI in sight (no Lego Mini or Hoonigan Gymkhana Escort AI)
- lapping at around 48 sec, Lego Mini AI kept the lead, I got close, but couldn't pass it (no Hoonigan Gymkhana Escort AI)
- lapping at around 47 - 46 sec, Hoonigan Gymkhana Escort AI kept easy lead and won by many seconds, could pass Lego Mini with ease

I'm starting to get fed up with the online portions of the Seasons. If it's not teammates who are willing to knock me off the track, sending me from 3rd place to 9th place in the trial (and subsequently causing us to lose enough points to cost us the round), it's random, unexplained lag that causes me to miss checkpoints because what I'm doing and what the game says I'm doing suddenly become two completely different things.

And then there's my favorite. I don't know why it happens, I don't know what causes it, but there's something about playing this game online that causes every single one of the 571 cars in my garage to become magnetized. But not normal magnetization, of course. This magnetization causes me to stick to trees, rocks, guardrails, anything and everything. I don't even have to hit anything, if I drive within 10 feet of something, my car attaches to it and no matter how quickly a car can go from 0-60, it goes from 140-0 much, MUCH faster. During an Online Adventure match earlier, I was driving my A800 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor on a series of dirt tracks...which is exactly what it's tuned to do. I kid you not, after a jump, I landed, an opponent's car landed, ON TOP OF ME, and I somehow got stuck INSIDE the ground at a 45 degree angle and couldn't move for the rest of the race. I didn't get reset back onto the track, couldn't rewind out of it, I had to sit there until the race was over.

But enough complaining. Aside from the online parts, I'm actually enjoying these events a lot. I love how the seasonal events change up the cars and tracks to create unique challenges that you might not otherwise get to experience. After all, how many people would choose to take vans and utility vehicles street racing normally? I really do appreciate being able to enjoy many parts of the game. I just wish the online experience was a little smoother and races were won based on skill instead of who had fewer issues. Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys the seasons as much as, if not more than, I do...and if you see me in one of your online races, well, let's hope it goes more smoothly than it has been.

Sorry, but i'm posting this image to show you guys, what i'm talking about and because i don't know what to do anymore

Already report this player to support, but apparently didn't solved the problem or nothing was done

It's the third time i spot this during the trial, can you imagine how could be that frequent?

This guy/girl whatever, join the trial with a x-class car and ram everybody causing the team to lose the rounds

And comes with a speed hack of course

I don't know how to say this in a good way, here's a tip: BAN HIM once for all!

Maybe somebody close to the foruns/devs/support can do something please, i'll be thankful.

Solo championships - Raced against Expert, Steering: Simulation, ABS: on, Traction/Stability; Off, Gearbox: Auto.

**Championship: "First-Class Postage" | Road Racing | (A800) Modern Sports Cars
**Car used: 2013 Subaru BRZ (Autoshow 32,000 Cr)
**Tune: A800 Road / 145 727 678

The BRZ is perhaps under-tuned for this event, or classed against others in its type, under preforms - as such while the tune/car can win, it maybe a challenge depending on your driving ability, and/or what Forza gives you as opponent A.I. Can win, did win in testing and in event, event results are close. Tune is RWD with the Rocket Bunny wide-body kit.

**Championship: "Handle With Care" | Dirt Racing | (A800) Retro Supercars
**Car used: 1981 BMW M1 (Autoshow 585,000 Cr)
**Tune: A800 Dirt / 584 361 327

These events been classed as 'dirt' events is... somewhat misleading, however they do have 'some' dirt sections, so car is tuned towards rally/dirt racing, giving grip on both surfaces. Competitively easy enough wins, faster on dirt against A.I., Porsche 911 is toughest competition if the A.I. brings it (this is for me, it was the 'favored' system chosen winner, your results may not match this). Tune is RWD, rally tires, no aero, maybe a medium skill level driver - not difficult, however maybe too much for someone just starting in the game. Preforms especially well on the one wet/rainy event in the championship.

**Championship: "Next Day Delivery" | Street Scene | (A800) Vans and Utility
**Car used: 2011 Ford Transit SSV (Autoshow 50,000 Cr)
**Tune: A800 Road / 288 782 397

Super easy win, great grip, easy to drive/control. I don't like street scene events, night time, wet, oncoming traffic and seemingly extra cheaty A.I., however this championship was a breeze, no rain, only one event at night, smashed the A.I. right at the start - so no cheating issue! Tune is AWD, engine swapped for inline 3.2L 6 cylinder, turbo and Forza air,

Hope these are helpful.
Enjoy.

I have met him/her in last week. Joined in second race after 1 person disconnected in first race. Was trying to take all of the heat on me, but we lost anyway.

As for this week trial. If You're decent just get in front and block as many drivatars as You can. Did trial 4 times and had to do this only in 1.

There's extremely rare scenario even on stock routes where player going "too fast" may result Drivatars getting additional speed boost and player starts losing positions, despite getting faster and faster. For me it has happened only at Glenfinnan Chase and North Coast Rush with one of the Dodge Viper's I was testing.

I don't think this is the scenario in this Trial.

Thanks to global events had too much time in my hands and gave this Trial quite a few races with some underdogs, Subaru WRX STI and Honda Honda Civic Coupe GRC.

This is keeping in mind that not everybody has Hoonigan RS200 (Prize car for this Trial).

I'm quite rusty skillwise, but few things.

Notes:

- No lower PI Drivatar counterpart for lower PI player vehicles in lineup. For example Audi S1 stock (S1 850) or Ford RS200 Evolution (S1 83x). This has happened sometimes in previous Trials but this time it happened every time. Never saw Drivatar car under S1 87x in this Trial.

- Slowdowns and lag at Mortimer's Garden in couple of races. I play on Xbox One X, never happened before. Slowdowns can be confusing, lag can be really pain to adjust as it makes counter steering very unpredictable.

Tips:

  • Very different kind of races, look for car that's all arounder.

  • Don't Drive stock. Drivatar PI doesn't adjust to it in this Trial for some reason.

  • What ever you take on this, don't take Peugeot 205 FE.

  • Honda is easier to built to have handling than performance than Subaru or Ford RS200. Between Subaru and Ford RS200, Ford is better platform.

At Mortimer's Garden:
Slow down and get on lower gear before turns. Especially important in left turn after needle downhill, break early, 3rd gear (stock ratios).

Section across water: Align your car so that you don't hit any obstacles when crossing section with water. Water already slows you down, hitting obstackles even more.

Approaching the tarmac section: Look for braking points under the bridge, brake early, 2nd or 3rd gear, look for inside line, even it may look unintuitive.

Miscellany:

Saw Audi's doing well sometimes on first race. Never on next two.

Saw LEGO Mini being very good on first two races, not so much on last one.

Never saw Peugeot 205 FE getting a podium.

Mortimer's Garden was race with most races lost of all.

In general this could have been very good event if this were been in A class instead of S1. Variety of very different kind of routes and car/tune has to work on every race. As an idea, very interesting championship and a good challenge. At S1 on these routes, combination made this clearly a really hard challenge for many players.

Finally got around to doing the Trial and PG. This post is going to be kind of short, because it was all a mess for me.

The Trial Co-Op Championship: "What Can Brown Do For You?" | Dirt Racing | (S1 900) Rally Monsters
Car Used (1st try): '86 #2 Audi Quattro S1
Tune (1st try): S1 Rally Beast (by Don Joewn Song) - 626 082 079
Car Used (2nd try) Hoonigan RS200
Tune (2nd try) Seasonal Rally (by AE86 Cowboy) - 160 533 266

Took me two tries, and both were messes. Everybody (human and Drivatar) drove like lunatics both times. On the first try, I was drove too aggressive and missed the second checkpoint on the first race. Team lost the first race, won the second race, and narrowly lost the third. So I switched cars thinking that might help my poor driving. I still did poorly and missed the same checkpoint in the first race. This time our team won it and the second race, and my third race was horrible. Got caught up in a teammate being ricocheted out of the first checkpoint by a drivatar, and I got collected in it. Missed a hairpin checkpoint, and that was pretty much it for that race. Team lost the third race, but it didn't matter.

In the end, I preferred the Audi, but the both felt rather good giving the chaos.

Seasonal Playground Games | Quarry | (B700) Super Hot Hatch
Car Used: '10 Volkswagen Golf R
Tune: Auto-B - 111 865 184

Tune's nothing really special: just threw on rally tires then auto-tuned it to B, hence the name. Not the best, but not the worst. It'll get the job done.

Trail: i don't understand why people are moaning. It's alot of fun, done it 4 time and won all four, my team was useless at times but still won. Though i will say, at first i was a little annoyed it was S1 Rally Monsters again, as we did that in winter but turned out to be more fun.

Speedtail: stunning looking car, I loved it at first but after sometime driving it around the map, something just feels missing. Doesn't feel as extreme at it should and with the engine sound being the same as every other Mclaren bar the F1's, just feels like i'm driving a reskinned P1 or Senna and i'm sure thats all it is for the game.

I actually loved this trial. Yes, I ended up with a bunch of ramming, crashing idiots. So I just went with it and played along. In the and we had three totally chaotic blazing fast "free for all" offroad carmageddon-esque races and still managed to win by a hair. I mean, I can't remember the last time I had such a violent race in a Forza game. And I loved it.
