Both of those cars should also work pretty well in auto.

It's possible but it didn't feel like one of those "oh, I can go much quicker" kind of things. I tried the Roadster (can't remember which tune it was) and I just didn't like it....way too snappy after finishing a turn...will try the drag tyres one though.

Tried the Viper with the above tune against my NSX ghost. Performance seemed similar but the Viper was a lot harder to drive, so I ended up slower. It makes me suspect Jezza would do the same sort of time in the NSX non-drag tune that I used, probably.

Nurse, I'm using Rocklxd's Rivals 1.3 tune for the Roadster btw. There is a Roadster in 18th using auto which is half a second ahead of me. (I should be able to beat it if I can put a clean run together. It's easy to make a fatal error though with the hard objects right by the roadside. edit - I did on the next run. Still loads of time on the table though.)

And up to 12th now.

Congrats to Jezza for going first at S1 with the drag NSX. I tried it, I couldn't beat my non-drag time though. It's not actually all that much quicker as the non-drag one is very quick already. I found my non-drag ghost was overtaking me and then got a second or so lead which I couldn't catch up even on the final run to the finish. I suspect the difference between the two might not be that great overall. Currently I'm 4.5 seconds behind Jezza in 14th. I think the non-drag tune can go at least a couple of seconds faster.

I've (barely) overtaken first in A class using Rocklxd's drags tune on the Roadster. This is a challenging track, a lot of time can be saved on corner entries/exits but the windows to hit them are exceedingly small. It's a good representation of the high speed winding nature of most of the Lego Valley tracks.

👏🏼👏🏼

I've really come to enjoy and appreciate the LEGO tracks much more because of these recent Jezza outings; whereas routes like the Glen Rannoch and Astmoor trails are total hell on my hands, these are actually pleasurable (at any speed) while still challenging at the same time. Sort of a sweet spot (for me, anyway) that I hope they hit more of going further.

Nice job Aleriooon. Feels i will have to go for the Roadster here as I don’t think anything else is competitive against it. The tight Lego section is very tough for the RWD options.

FN - the drag tyres NSX is about 2 seconds quicker than the dirt tyres version on this track. I think it will do about 05.5 at best and the dirt tyres about 07.5. Viper will do somewhere between 06.5 and 07.0. Track also seems suited to the 2JetZ but haven’t tried that yet.

That's interesting Jezza, I thought it would be something like that. Well I improved a bit more at S1 and also moved up to 11th at A class. I think I am around the best I am likely to do. I can do all the individual bits better but there is an element of randomness now due to the slidey nature of the cars, especially the Roadster.

I´m using the rocklxd 1.41 tune on the roadster. Last month with the Wind Farm Rush rivals i tried all tunes from rocklxd and the 1.41 was the best tune for me. But in legoland there is less grip then on the mainland, but i dont have time to test them all again 🤔

I know that the 1.3 tune isn't the easiest to drive but when I've compared them before it was the fastest. I'd like to know which version Alerioon used. I've gone another tenth quicker with 1.3.

edit - tried the 1.4 again. Whether it's the tune or because I was following Jezza's ghost this time, I've gone another 4 tenths quicker. This tune feels noticeably slower acceleration to me but on paper it has the same power and a bit less weight than 1.3, so I could be imagining it. I think following a non-Roadster probably helped me not second guess my braking points etc.

I'm using the 1.4 tune, I don't think I've ever tried the 1.3 tune so I can't compare unfortunately.

Finally got some time this morning and improved in S1 and A. Now for both 10th place on the leaderbord. For S1 i used the alfa romeo 8C FE, i lost some time in the fast section to FN´s NSX but gained enough in the corners 🙂

I think S1 is more fun than A class for this event, the NSX is more consistent to drive than the Roadster. In 3rd at 2:07.0.

Had a few more runs in the NSX (non-drag) and found another half second to retake 10th.

What are the tunes for the NSX, maybe i could find another 0.2xx sec with the AR but definitely not 0.5xx seconds.
In A class i improved to 1.09.606 🙂

The tune I used is Rocklxd, S1 ranked v1.0. The faster but harder to drive drag tune is Rocklxd's S1 dry v1.0.

You don't need to find 0.5s to beat me btw, 0.25 would do.

The NSX is much quicker then the AR 8C FE. After my 3th attempt i´m almost a second faster. Now 8th place with 2:09.012

Congrats, did you use the drag tune above? I wish I knew how to drive it. I have tried everything but I can't make it go round corners without slowing down too much. Your ghost makes it look easy.

Yes, the drag tune. For me it turns fairly easy, except for the last 90° left turn. I dont know why but that turn is really difficult with the NSX. I had a run where i used rewind for that last left turn till i got it good and i was 0.3 seconds faster then my fastest run. I´m 6th now but 5th place is out of reach for me.

Congrats to all of you for your improvements!

I haven't been near these events since I last posted and likely won't at all...I might improve by a handful of seconds but that would still be way off the pace...I know where my skill limits are. WIll wait to see whenever a new one appears if I get one that suits me again

That Dually was rwd, right?

Yes the Dually is RWD. The big wheels mean it doesn’t get as much wheelspin as some of the other RWD options (probably why it’s pretty good for this course). It does seem to randomly break traction even in higher gears though, which makes it tricky to get a full course right.

If anyone has any suggestions for events, then please post. I’m setting some times at the Hypercar event at Valley View Dash (Lego) but I know S2 isn’t everyone’s favourite, so a slightly slower option is probably preferable.
