Haven't been on since the start of the week but hoping to get a couple more tries in on this run, now that the weather's turned and golf season is upon us I'm not playing nearly as much Xbox (probably for the best LOL). Will have to test out the power tunes available as well.

With apologies for the delay, results for last week are below. This was the S2 winter “rivals challenge” in modern supercars at Otleydale Dash. It swiftly became apparent that RB’s tune for the Ford GT WP was fairly overpowered and the new WR is 2 seconds quicker than the time before we started (with 7 of the top 10 times now in this car):

Jezza - 1.56.683 (WR)
Bedlam - 1.57.127 (2nd)
RB033 - 1.57.238 (3rd)
Aleriooon - 1.58.118 (5th)
NurseMorph - 1.59.052 (7th)

The civic is not for me (1.22.536) thats 2 seconds slower then my roadster time. Even the noise is annoying 😄
In Forza motorsport 7 it was one of my favorite C600 and B700 cars.

Just barely snuck ahead of Ziperr using his tune, I botched the downhill left handed shortly before the finish line and had to downshift into 4th which probably cost around 0.2 seconds. A time in the high 17s is possible for me but I don't think I can touch Rayne.

Edit: a slightly slower start but a significantly better finishing section and I've shaved off the 0.2 I lost, down to 2:17.8.

2:19.100 is the best I can do so far, with Ziperr's tune. I can't make either of Rayne's tunes work for me, they are markedly slower. I could go a tenth or two quicker with Zip's tune or Bedlam's possibly - the latter is quicker in the early corners but I get overtaken by my ghost. But I am around the limit of what I can do anyway.

Nice job beating me!! I would say that, if you managed to nail every part of the track, you could manage an 18.5 probably....that's based on me being able to get an 18.8 (judging by what I lost on my PB run) and then removing 3 tenths for Clutch use.

Thanks, I haven't put as much time into this as I would like to have done. I've just had another go and got into the 18s with a 2:18.982.

I see that 12 of us have now beaten the previous #1 time 👍

2:17,147. I'm done.

Updated tune shared under the same name "LEGO" - changed tire pressure.
Earlier tire pressure was set to minimum, cause one quick person is always using it in his tunes. Now it is set to around 1.6bar. Can't tell if that maked so much difference or was it just very good run.

PS. Someone was asking about tested cars. I have tested... hmm, tested is strong word, casue most of the runs ended when I was leaving "track part". Civic ghost was just zooming past me.
Tried most of the FWD and AWD cars, but nothing standed a chance against Civic.
Delta and 155 was kind of nice to drive.
I was disappointed by CRX Mugen - stock gearbox was killing it, Scirocco and Golf MK3 - good power to weight ratio, but somehow it didn't work.
Mini was funny car to use with FWD on stock tires. Sad it didn't work cause would be nice to set time in PI 550 car.

It is the tune I think. I just went 0.250s quicker at the first attempt.

And another three tenths to edge past Bedlam and Jezza. This tune allows higher cornering speeds.

As Ziperr has shared a new tune, I’ll leave the Lego event open for new times until Wednesday evening.

For those who have had enough of Lego, let’s try some dirt. Ambleside Scramble “Hot Hatch B Class Challenge” event - the rivals event at the far left.

Thanks Jezza.
Honda simply doesn't work for me on Lego land, so Ferrari it is.

For Ambleside, I know its slow compared to you guys, but that's it, besides I like the numbers I got: 43.007 :)

Managed a 2:17.315 in Legoland with ziperr's new tune. I didn't spend much time with the older version of the tune, so I can't say how much the tire pressure change improved it. That's something I usually feel I can't tune very well because I can't drive consistently enough; I typically just pick some other good tune and copy its tire pressure from the telemetry. I managed to learn to use M+C well enough this week by binding the clutch to a button on the wheel -- a bit cheesy, but it turns out I need my left foot to keep the pedals from sliding around under my desk.

I've also put down a decent early time at Ambleside Scramble: 41.639, currently good for 8th overall. This time was not quite in either of the tunes I've shared, but I did do a 41.601 dirty in the v1.1 tune. I think more power is needed to get the WR, but it looks achievable with the right tune, since the top ghost's line doesn't appear to be fully optimized. I haven't tried the Clio at all yet.

Tried ziperr's v2 tune on Lego and, for me, it felt worse and I was certainly slower with it...couple of corners it did rotate slightly better but the high speed corners had more understeer and so I either kept hitting the walls or just having to lift off too much. Seems it needs M+C as well as the trigger for accelerate to get the most out of it

As to Ambleside, I ran 6 laps yesterday and am too embarassed to post my time...it may be 172nd globally but it's also nowhere. Will give manual a go but whether I can manage a track with more corners close together and changing gears is a different matter

For me its much better, after 15 min. I was 3 sec. faster then with ziperr´s V1 tune.

@OdEssA: Nice improvement! Might simply be down to my driving style and how I prefer the car to behave...then again I didn't put a huge amount of runs in as I only did about 10 but it was enough to know I wouldn't improve. Just glad to see the end of an event where loss of traction was so pronounced....

And so on to an event where loss of traction is very pronounced!!!

Put in a fair few laps today and, having reduced my time by 1.4 seconds in automatic, kind of felt like I was hitting the ceiling so switched to manual....took a few laps before I knocked off another couple of tenths to sit on a 42.292.

Still some time to find as I cannot get the hang of turn 1 at all...I have lost time there against almost every ghost I've run against as they can brake so much later than me and carry a tighter line.

@Nursemorph, what tune do you use with the Abarth ? For the moment i use 'HammerDn' his tune but 'Hamilton HD' has also a good tune. They are very different but i do almost identical times with them.

No clue to be honest...just some random tune I put on it quite some time ago for a seasonal event. It drives well, though it's a little down on power...tried swapping to a tune with less handling but slightly more power but it wasn't very good. I'll give those tunes you mentioned a go later and will post back the one I have been using

I just used Bedlam's tune for the Abarth for 42.6 after a few laps. Can probably go a bit faster. I see it's one of those courses where there's a special trick to getting the right lines by knocking down certain walls and taking off road excursions. I don't even try to do the final one where you go off to the left before the final straight because I can't consistently get it right without hitting something. I'm not sure how important that one is though, given Bedlam got 8th without doing that.

On another note, I see the forum is broken again!

I hae tried both the scenic route and non-scenic route to the left of that tree near the end....think it may be tune dependent as to whether it helps (maybe driver specific)...I found it doesn't make the lap time any quicker but does open it up to enter the final sector qiucker allowing a faster speed across the line

So, firstly, the tune I was using was by PaperHeartZero just for information as other tunes are quicker.

The second scenic route I have started avoiding as I was getting bored of hitting the tree every other lap...with the right tune, you can still get the top speed assuming you don't get the car sliding on the final corner.

So, gave Bedlam's tune a go for 25 laps and managed to knock 2 tenths off....I like the tune but I find I am needing to shift up at times I don't like (midway through the first scenic route for example)...I have enough difficulty with manual gears! Followed this up by running half dozen laps with the Hamilton HD Rival tune and, while it is a wild ride, it is quick....managed to knock another 2 tenths off to now sit at a 41.842.

Tantalizingly close to Ziperr but out of time for this week. A fun change of pace, I'll have to wait until Thursday to get going on next week's challenge.
