Bedlam’s tune for the Rossion is also capable of sub 1.59 - just did 1.58.8. I don’t think I can find an extra 0.5 with it though, so the GT remains the best car so far.

in video it looks better
think it was 2 ghosts one 2:02.9 and later 2:02.8
and you slowed down too much after the tight 's' when your car was sliding to right side

it's crazy how important the first 3 checkpoints are or first 4
if my car was behind your ghost at 3rd checkpoint it was pause->restart best todo was then 2:06
with my car few cm in front its 2:03.x but yeah followed your ghost on street think its faster doing some offroad
but even there is some sweet spot going not wide enough and driving in deep snow or too wide

i'll give the updated tunes some try at weekend used only the v1.3

Ok, I take it back. The Rossion can take the current WR as I’ve done 1.58.444 dirty (messed up the tricky roundabout and had to rewind).

I have only used v1.3 as well, up to and including this run. Yeah I slowed down too much later on which is disappointing, I think I could have gone a second faster maybe. I was worried about braking too late, which usually loses more time than braking too early, especially in these conditions.

Despite me saying I was done, I gave RB's newest tune a quick try earlier. It seems similar to Rayne's tune, with the extra power and weight making it much less nimble.

V1.4 tune is shared, I think 2.1 was a placebo effect while I was getting better at the track.

In other words... 1.4 is strongly recommended :)

There's a new GT tune??? Ooo...have to give that one a go then.

@FN: Good job in getting that 1.2 seconds...you are getting like me "Can't go faster, can't go faster.......inexpicably went miles faster" Just watched your video and, yeah, you could gain time at 65% by going off-road as you can manage that corner without braking, just a bit of a lift (it's a wild ride though!). At 30%, rather than turning to stay on the road, you may find it quicker to straight line that right hander and go off-road..not totally sure and going too far off-road can cost time as, on my fastest run, I gained time there on Jezza's old ghost

Only did a few laps yesterday as wasn't feeling it...did manage to get one good lap in to go slightly faster at a 2:00.420..up till that point I'd been between 2 and 4 seconds slower!! There are still areas I need to work out, especially the second 90 degree corner at the botton of the hill...I always end up hitting at least 5 trees through there.. Though most of my runs get aborted before that as, if I wasn't ahead of Jezza's ghost after the first of those corners, then I restarted.

Great time RB. I won’t be able to catch that in the Rossion (did 1.58.0 dirty and there’s no chance that there’s another 8 tenths on top of that). Will have to switch to v 1.4 to see if I can hunt you down.

Oh, maybe it ends with 1:56
Great Job

Odessa was my new ghost and i know where i can go faster but loose everything at u-turn and the left turn to roundabout
but i have to brake there my route is 99.5% rb's route

#27 now but not in 2:02.xxx

is it faster to use the fence in the roundabout for slowdown?

and what does the car sorting mean
with v1.3 it shows the C8 as first car, with v1.4 the ford is first now

56 may be possible, there are a couple improvements to be made, will have to be another day.

Sorting by PI, I think there is hidden decimal place so you could have a low 998 and a higher 998 depending on what is installed. With 1.4 I gave up the driveshaft upgrade so I could add race transmission and fine tune the gears for the track. Then I squeezed in clutch and flywheel to maximize what I could fit under 998, and so it happens to be ever so slightly higher rated than 1.3 now.

The C8 is S2 991 the ford 998 with both tunes
was thinking it's alphabetical but it changes with the tune

and it's not the speed
c8 is 8.3 ford now 8.2

Marginal improvement to go to a 2:00.287...have managed a .1 dirty.

This event really is so frustrating when you are up on your time and then it randomly sends you off to the side for no apparent reason....or you try to use trees and street furniture to slow you down and it doesn't alter your speed/direction one bit, yet scrubs 20mph and/or sends you off in another direction when you don't want it to do it. And as for the number of times where, at the left hander before the U bend, I have tried turning earlier to slide the car through the checkpoint and it decides to find dry road grip causing me to undershoot!!

I want to say RB's v1.4 tune is better as it seems to turn sharper...but it's near on impossible for me to decide given a corner will yield 100 different results out of 100 different attempts.

Having run a 1:59 albeit with numerous rewinds at the roundabout, wasn't sure I had it in me to do clean....but, lots of runs later and I am now at a 1:59.436!! How I managed to beat my PB by 8 tenths at once is beyond me. I want to say there really is no more time in it but I am not sure...certainly I reckon there was a tenth or two left but getting them is a different matter.

Anyway, for someone who isn't very good on snow (I really am not...I enjoy racing in snow, just not that good), I would quite happily take 11th Globally and a mere 2 seconds behind the alien drivers!

I just about got past RB but only by a tenth and it took me a lot of effort - great run RB. Sub 1.57 is definitely possible but getting the whole course perfect with the various bumps, fences you need to clip perfectly and offroad sections is extremely tough.

That perfect run... lol, it is out there like a desert oasis. When I set my time my hands were literally sore.

I love the fact you guys think there is a perfect lap on this course...I am still trying to work out if there is a perfect corner!!

Spent the past 2 hours trying and "clean" I can only get to 2 tenths slower than my PB...however, on a dirty lap I have managed a 58.8 so I know there is definitely another 6 tenths somewhere....

I’m fairly confident I know the best line for each corner - problem is that hitting that line for some of the corners is hugely tricky. For example, on the chicane at the start, I aim to go through the fence on the left, clip the fence on the right so that it turns the car slightly but not enough to lose speed and then clip the next fence on the left to lose a little more speed before bouncing off road through the checkpoint. Strangely, getting that right isn’t easy to do...

See, now I try similar but the end result is usually: Hit fence on left so that it turns the car straight into the wooden fence on the right and knocks down that entire fence as the car won't steer from it.....restart!
