Did you try the RAESR on snow Bree? I got into a lobby where I was going to use it and got d/ced about 30 seconds in but it seemed fairly competitive in that short test once it got up to speed.

I didn't, but I think it would struggle on any courses where there's multiple places where you have to accelerate from low speed. On Derwent Reservoir Trail it lost a huge amount of time at the start, and accelerating out of the hairpin.

3. Jezza - 2.08.512 (PW) - 8th
4. FN - 2.09.166 (X Class) - 9th
5. Smoke - 2.09.329 (X Class) - 10th
6. Squryl - 2.09.613 (PW) - 11th
7. Pointi - 2.09.904 (X Class) - 12th
8. Ziperr - 2.12.819 (17 Raptor) - 19th
9. Runruss - 2.14.368 (X Class) - 24th
10. Spiko - 2.14.535 (X Class) - 25th
11. Odessa - 2.16.603 (X Class) - 31st
12. RB - 2.16.751 (19 Macan) - 33rd
13. PirateP - 2.17.738 (X Class) - 38th
14. Mort - 2.20.841 (PW) - 61st

A very challenging course with three major jumps, water, lots of debris and some challenging tarmac corners for the A class power trucks. Power Wagon and X Class seemed fairly evenly matched with the PW just getting the edge at the top of the Lb.

Aleriooon picks up the win, with the only time in the 7s, with Bedlam just a few tenths behind. Great driving (and patience) guys 💪.

19. Matteo - 1.54.181 (Trackhawk) - 211th
20. Mort - 1.57.618 (ZR2) - 308th

Probably a more technical course but with slightly less RNG potential. The X Class was again strong but the Hummer held a slight edge here. Same top 3 as at Lego but reverse order. Also congratulations to Percy and Pointi for their first overall top 10s. Great racing everyone. Now back to the tarmac (sorry Squryl).

This is very similar to the tune Rock is using. He might have slightly better handling but if he does it’s only very minor. I tried a few runs and didn’t manage to get anything clean but my best run I was a fraction ahead at the end of the water tunnel (before hitting that bump at the end and flying off sideways). Oddly, it’s an A800 tune but shows as A799 when i actually have it installed. Is that just me?

50.344 now, sub 50 is my goal for the week but it's going to take a very optimal run for me to accomplish that IMO.

Is everyone using Rocklxd's tune for the CCGT? I am just under 52 seconds if I remember rightly. I can see how I could find a few tenths with an improved run, but I don't think I could do better than that. Any tips or advice for this course or car are welcome (or any other car). I tried the other obvious choice, the King Cobra and I'm nowhere near with that, whether RWD or AWD.

I nearly went a tenth or two faster last night but got it wrong in the final corners. Getting them all right is tricky. (At least this course is pure skill and not random.)

I'm using Rocklxd's S2 Dry tune, forget the exact title. The chicane at the beginning is tricky but you can rewind to behind the finish line and attempt it until you get through it where you need to be. You should be able to take the sweeping left halfway through at around 180 MPH if you clip the edge of the pavement neatly. The turn in point there is a touch later than it looks. The twisty bit in the 2nd half is where most of the gains are to be had IMO. Braking a hair early and then accelerating over the hump on the sharp right hander preserves downforce and saves time, and then on the downhill right shortly after that (right after the house on the left) you need to get as close to the brick wall as possible without touching it. I also find the bumps through there make it easy to miss a line and ruin the entire lap.

^ thanks, I forgot about rewind, that helps a lot for the first chicane. I've gone about half a second quicker now.

49.919, CCGT with rocklxd's S2 Dry 100bp. That's probably as fast as I can go, and my hands need a break, S2 racing with a wheel is pretty intense.

One tip I might offer is that the faster ghosts tend to take significantly better lines through the first chicane, so it might be worth chasing Dexccs's ghost (fastest CCGT) even if it's far ahead of your time, just to see a fast line through there -- I had to relearn that line a few times since I started with slower ghosts.

Yes, I tend to just go straight for the fastest ghost for that reason. I recently did a bit of tryharding of the motorcross showcase rivals, after ang3l beat my previous time, and started copying ang3l then quickly thought well this is pointless, I might as well just learn the line the fastest ghost takes (there's a tricky path through the trees you have to learn right after the start). You do need them to be using a similar car and tune, preferably identical. There's a bit of preference for driving style within that - in FM7 I always went faster following Rayzer's ghosts than anyone else's, even when the times were almost identical. I just found his driving style easier to copy, even though I'm much slower.

It would be nice if they added the feature GT Sport has to reset the ghost if it gets too far ahead, but it can be done better than it is in GTS. In GTS the game lets it get too far ahead before resetting it, you'd ideally set a starting offset (which GTS lets you do), and set the offset at which it resets back to that starting offset, e.g. 0.3 seconds and 0.6 seconds.

Kudos.

Tried that tune aswell, but the 100bp do not work with my Dualshock 3 Controller, but I guess the "S2 DRY V1.3" is the same I think, but only not 100 bp? I think this means "break pressure" as with the 100 bp tuning I have even more locking up tires when I break into corners?

btw., ABS, is this even working? ^^

Don't know how much faster I can go, maybe a 50.9 or even a 50.5 is possible for me, but dont think I can go faster.
S2 is too fast for me and the Joypad (even though its a pretty good one I think) just is not precisely enough, on this course and in this class you have to be VERY precise.

Managed to break into the 54's in S2 and i am pretty chuffed with that. But for the other guys, like me, who struggle with S2, give the Rivals Challenge at this course a shot. It's S1 Track Toys, helped me learn more about the track and i found it good fun, then went back to S2 and improved a bit. :)

Cheers

Mainly as I haven’t had much of a go at this one, and as it’s been Easter as well, I’m going to leave open until Sunday night. I see there have been some good times set - Bedlam with a great time was leading last time I looked.

I can beat Rocklxd's ghost (49.755) to the downhill twisty bit through the shed and house, and then he absolutely runs away from me. I lose so much time through there and it's driving me crazy. Stuck at 50.050.

49.917, improved my line on the finishing stretch.

So current Lb (CCGT unless stated):

Bedlam - 49.919
Alerioon - 50.050
Ziperr - 50.204
Bree - 50.402
Percy - 50.701
Jezza - 50.868 (CLK GTR)
PABO - 51.185
Pointi - 51.247
FN - 51.482
Odessa - 52.569 (Diablo GTR)
Matteo - 53.954
Spiko - 53.987 (CLK GTR)
Mort - 54.354
Runruss - 54.855 (Huayra BC)
Rat Catcha - 55.050 (Vulcan AMR)
Rex - 55.455 (Senna)
PirateP - 56.006
Cake - 56.390 (Divo)
Squryl - 58.258 (Lego Senna)

Very few cars capable of sub 51 I think. Of 184 times quicker than me only 14 are using neither the CCGT or Monaco. I need to try some more CLK tunes and maybe the Diablo GTR before switching to the Monaco or CCGT.

Sorry for interrupt...
I love this game but my time playing it reduced from 1-xx h/day to max 30m/week
To enjoy the better parts of the game again was thinking about some "race-evening" with the people from this thread here. Nothing special simply racing in team/solo unranked adventures collisions on/off (dont care)
Jezza was saying it needs organisation and Ziperr already tried to get some up&running

So yeah whats your thoughts? No idea where everyone lives (TZ here is UTC+1)
Is there groupchat in xbox live

Hey guys, i have been trying Assetto Corsa lately which is not a super polished product like Forza franchise but being open to moders gives an amazing advantage on cars and circuits variety. It needs a lot of setting up, downloading and fixing stuff, but once you get it running it is fun all over the place. The community are hardcore car people.

Anyways i returned to the rivals challenge since the CCGT with rocklxd's S2 tune was my only dry S2 vehicle for online events but it takes too much effort to readjust to Forza gameplay/physics. Assetto Corsa is for me like having a brand new girlfriend that need to spent some quality time with her.

I'm in UTC+2 (at least for summer time).
As you can see either no one wants too race or no one visited forum in last hours.
What racing do you have in mind? RTA in convoy? Any racing in convoy? Some custom category?
If you just want to race I would just go to Custom Advenutres and race there. Good fun. If you want to race with someone from this thread then we need to wait for answers.

Yeah unranked custom and/or team adventure. It allows you to hop in and always starts new one.
There are some good drivers hidden in custom adventures too, maybe we meet them and can play together.
But we need some base first or it throws you in some adventures with "lower level" player

I’d be up for some custom races at some point, if it can be organised.

Managed to improve my CLK time to 50.4 by switching to a race tyres build. Such a tricky circuit to get right though and I’ve messed up a few quicker runs by going into the wall at that tough right hander near the end.

Overall, Aleriooon had taken the lead by the narrowest of margins when I last checked. Can Bedlam respond?

Has anyone else tried the Nissan Nismo GT-R LM on this course yet?

I just brought it out the other day and set my best time with it. And I haven't switched it over to Manual yet. I'd be curious what some of you thought about it. It doesn't have the highest top speed but it is super stable and handles the turns really well. Like Vantage level.
