I've just watched the stream, and I have to say that it felt like there was a lot more understanding of players' concerns than in the past. Some past streams basically felt like they were trolling the players, but this time there was some real understanding of the issues and a lot more explanation around what is being worked on but isn't in this update.

I think I'll be giving drift adventure a try, as it's the only mode where we have:
- no freeroam rush
- no wallriding
- no ramming

I'm not sure why we have to play drift adventure to have those things that so many people are asking for, but I'll try it and see just how badly I suck at it.

Can we have a list of what cars we need to prepare for drift adventure? I got the impression we'll need both RWD and AWD for several classes.

This and also recommendations on the best B class dirt cars would be useful as I've hardly touched the lower classes except in some of the seasonal events etc.

I'd be surprised if the Fulvia isn't one of the best in B class on dirt. I'd use that car as a benchmark when testing others.

Cars I would recommend are the Fulvia, 131 Abarth, Escort RS1600 & RS1800, Elan Sprint, Kadett A, 510 and 2002 Turbo for rally racing.
Photographer, Painter, Tuner, Racer and Rally Fanatic. Maybe bring back Group B?

Totally agree with @bree. 30 seconds isn't gonna be enough and drift adventure will probably be my new home. I love the game, more than FH3 but I absolutely hate being cheated out my rank by people who drive dirty. At least I won't be bothered in a ghosted room. I don't mind the drifting but I'll deal with it if I won't be wrecked

glad the AMG GT 4-Door is finally here... next order of business and the ultimate addition will be the ‘16-17 S65 Sedan / ‘18-19 S65 Coupe.

Unfortunately, it appears to only allow us to use the default shapes for masking ... based on what they showed on the stream. That will be fairly limiting if we can't use layer groups as masks ... but it is a good start to a feature we've been asking about for a long time. Just needs to evolve and let us use layer groups as a mask before it will really take off and be revolutionary.

There is four different builds. You will have AWD or RWD for an "A/B" or "S1/S2"

Quote:
The Series 8 Update for Forza Horizon 4 arrives this week with the addition of the Barrett-Jackson Car Pack, awesome new events and adventures as well as the drift camera feature recently released in Forza Motorsport 7. Take a look at the breakdown of incredible rewards cars like the 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé and see what is in store for you.

Online Adventure Changes
Here is a good look at what has been included in the Online Adventure Championships update.
· S2 Class has been removed from Dirt Racing Championships.
· B Class has been added to Dirt Racing Championships.
· Freeroam Rush events have been removed from all Asphalt and Street Race Championships.
· Collisions are disabled for the first 30 seconds of each race. This change also applies to Horizon Life PvP races.

Drift Adventure
An all-new Online Adventure game mode! Take part in three-race Drift Championships, where it’s not about how fast you can drive, it’s about how well you can drift!

Points are scored on asphalt only and are based on the angle and speed of your drift. You’ll have time to complete a few laps in each event, so don’t worry if you mess up the start, you still have every chance to win as only your best lap’s score goes up on the leaderboard.

Drift Adventure is available in both Quick Play and Ranked and can be accessed from the Online Adventure tab in the Pause Menu.

Earning a rank in Drift Adventure will check-off the Online Adventure requirement for Festival Playlist.

Drift Camera
If you like to show off your style and grace while getting sideways the Drift Camera will be a welcome addition. You can enable it in the HUD and Gameplay settings and view pans in your direction of travel in the cockpit view. Check out the new settings while you explore the Drift Adventure.

Barrett-Jackson Cars
The Barrett-Jackson Car Pack is available for separate purchase and is included as a free add-on for players who own the Forza Horizon 4 Car Pass. The vehicles of the Barrett-Jackson Car Pack are a veritable “who’s who” of collectible automobiles from decades past. From the hand-built 1932 Ford Custom Double Down to the sleek, race-ready 1963 Shelby Monaco King Cobra, these cars have been desired by drivers around the world since their introduction to Forza Motorsport 7 and now is your chance to experience them in Forza Horizon 4. For an in depth look at these amazing vehicles, you can read about them in the story that announced their arrival to Forza 7.

Showcase Remix
Take on the Horizon Motocross team in a off-road ready 1958 Austin-Healy Sprite Mk1. There is really nothing like it in the real world. Check it out for a limited-time only after you have completed the regular Festival Showcase.

Series 8 Reward Cars
Through the seasons of Series 8 you can earn each of these cars, and the Easter Bunny suit, by completing 50% and 80% of the Festival Playlist. Have a look at each car in detail and what it takes to earn it.

2016 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Forza Edition (Festival Playlist 50%)
2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor (Festival Playlist 80%)
2018 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé (Summer Season 50%)
1969 Hot Wheels Twin Mill (Summer Season 80%)
2012 Ferrari 599XX Evolution (Autumn Season 50%)
2011 Hot Wheels Bone Shaker (Autumn Season 80%)
1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport 396 (Winter Season 50%)
2016 W Motors Lykan HyperSport (Winter Season 80%)
2009 Vauxhall Corsa VXR (Spring Season 50%)

And don’t forget the awesome Easter Bunny Suit (Spring Season 80%)

Looking at the rewards ... thanks for the updates by the way ... I like that only 2 of the reward cars are new exclusive content, and both are weekly 50% rewards. I like that they require the minimum amount of progress and that each only ties me to the playlist for a week each instead of the whole month. I'd prefer no new content as important as cars be time-gated, but I see the attempt to make it less of a potential hassel ... I appreciate the step, PG.

And drift isn't really my thing, but the design, letting you have multiple laps with only the best counting, sounds really good to me. Uh, assuming there's no collisions.

I'm so dang stoked for all of this to come this week!!! But the thing I'm most excited about, is the Hot Wheels Twin Mill car I still haven't been able to get yet. I've missed multiple opportunities to get it due to being offline during the period, or it would be a reward in ranked adventure. Now all I have to do is get 80% and it's mine!! :) Plus, all of the new muscle cars being added is getting me even more excited!!

Now I'm wondering: when? It appeared the update was for April 8th, but perhaps various items Max mentioned, including the vinyl mask shape option, are coming at an unspecified later date?

Definitely one of the top contenders but don't forget the Delta S4 with the Group B mod. Requires a bit of tuning knowledge but this thing is a grip monster with decent speed for B-class.

Regarding wheelspacers: Happy to see the announcement of ~100 cars that will recieve them but I fear I have to adjust many builds because spaced out wheels might be better than my current build. Builds which very often stretch the limits of theirs respective classes and therefore would jump to next PI-class with wheelspacers. Rebuilding incoming.....

I really hope there's also a hidden fix for "hard crash during forzathon live" in the notes as the game like usual crashed again when doing a danger sign as part of the event. Other than that, the game is great. It's just really hard to earn FP when the game quits on the danger sign part. I'm sorry for those during that event though, as I didn't leave the game just hard crashed like usual.

Not quite happy with the car pack. Some toys and oldies. I'd prefer retro cars 90's/2000's or some new hypercars. But well...

But at least the new features look promising.

When the release will be available? Tomorrow when the season change, or maybe already during today? That would be great!

Fast Travel from playlist was probably overlooked again.., or not even given any thought

...plus i'm glad i have all the reward cars (here's looking at u, Crown Vic, lol), except for the new "exclusives", so not much effort required for next Series 🕺🏻 ...allowing more time to dig into Drift Adventure 😎👌🏻

Great update, really likes the cars, Freeroam rush removed and B is added so yeah, no wall riding fix but whatever I'm a street lover, more spacer is cool. 30 Second is collision off is ok in some tracks.
ok then, here comes the questions:
Why bone shaker receive no nerf? not a big deal to me but aren't they annoying.
Is the Hemi Cuda going to be convertible or roofs up? It looks better roof down
Where can I get the chauffeur outfit? I ask for it like two months ago
and most importantly
WHY ARE YOU GUYS AVOIDING TO TALK ABOUT SOUND? It was all over the chat.

Considering asphalt races makes the smallest minority by occurance. If you queue in 10 races, not more than 2 of them are on roads. It used to be more but i have seen less and less asphalt adventures. Few days ago i logged in and wanted to have few races, gave up after 70mins when game pushing only dirt or off road series. So i didn't get to race at all.

Please Tell me the ferrari 812 is going to be a car that we can either buy with forza points or win this time round, as I along with alot of other people missed out on the chance to buy it when the game first launched and it was ONLY a car you could buy with forza points. As almost no one puts them on the auction house, and if they do go up they get sniped and from what I could find

some people are actually selling them for REAL money to people after sniping them like that.

Also Please tell me we can drop the top on the 70 Cuda' as it would kinda ruin the point of it being a convertible if we couldnt, plus the description is inaccurate, they only made 14 in 1971, this is a 70' plus it'd be easy enough to change the bumpers and grills to mimic a 71 to boot as a body kit option if someone wanted to Nash Bridges it

which reminds me is the shaker, the air scoop in the middle of the hood, paintable, as some were silver, some were black, based on the options chosen back then, and I dont think the 71 that we have that's been in the game since Forza Horizon 1 has that option.

and it would be nice to have it as that, although I do seem to be the only one driving a 71 cuda, let alone one in the interstate 76' 432 colors it seems weirdly enough with 4 wheel drive, so it can actually haul, unlike they normally do in this game.

which seems to be a common problem with ALL muscle cars in this game if you want to put one in S1 class.

Also any word on them fixing the sense of speed in this game, as if you go back to even horizon 3 a 180 mph in that game seems way faster than it does in Horizon 4, like someone messed with the sense of speed in this game

and thus unless you upgrade a car for upper S1 and S2, it feels slow as hell, which i think is the real reason they did away with B and C class racing really.

Oh shame. It was a chance to have gold paint, but now only gold standard shapes. I had an idea for a Gold C3PO, and a gold Game of Thrones logo. Only possible now with a standard font.
