The way it is right now, the only new and good thing to do every week are the championships, which i really like. All is well on that side.

But we also need something that we can do constantly, a better adventure mode for example, with more depth and possibility to choose the type of race and or remove free roam races. (Plus adventures that also use fortune island).
A side note: free roam races should only be available for the cross country race list, or removed completely, it's really not fun and logic for them to be there for the rest of the car classes, maybe with the exception of rally cars, and to a certain extent.

More modes that give rewards like the championships, something to strive for when we log in, not just repeat old races..

Improve the blueprint mode too, show the race track for example, i'm tired of being tricked into playing the same races over and over again, come on, a race track is something vital!, how can this not be there?, show statistics, allow to search for races easier, allow us to see the top creators, and a leaderboard for those statistics.

The auction house's search function is from 20 years ago.. like, why do i have to scroll all the way right or left to select a manufacturer? why isn't it implemented like in the autoshow to just select the one you want and go straight to it, this is really badly done.

That's pretty much it, other than this and the fact that the game servers for online gameplay are laggy, the rest of the game is pretty good, missing some rally cars, some dakar ones, and some road ones, but hell, you can't have everything.. or can we?.

Thanks for reading.

Allowing custom championship blueprints, bringing back old rivals, and being able to choose the season in offline play would go a LONG way to fleshing out the endgame for me.

Most of my endgame in FH3 was spent in custom made championships, and I desperately miss it. Old Rivals, while something I didn't personally play much, was way more interesting and in depth then it's current incarnation. And don't even get me started on forced seasons. Such a dumb move. Winter is way too tame and unrealistic to drive on because it would frustrate people to much to be forced to drive on it. It was infinitely better when it was an expansion, and we had the CHOICE to go to Blizzard Mountain.

All of this stripped out so that we could have this always online game, which despite being always online has an inferior online to its predecessor. I'm sorry, I'm not usually one to rag on developers, but I do not have enough negative criticism for whoever made the absolutely boneheaded decision to force this game to be always online. You made the product worse for absolutely no gain. I mean seriously, the ONLY feature that is added for being always online are the shallow, quickly forgotten Frozathon Live events.

Sorry for the rant. Yes, endgame needs more to do.

Forzathon live quickly forgotten? Outside of off hours, like 1am north america on a weekday, there are always many people when I go and I am always going right from game launch. Forzathon Live I think is a really good feature. Could use some improvements, but that is for suggestions.

I think the always online part is well implemented. You can be online, or not. Game keeps working fine, not forced to multiplay. The negatives to it tend to be the players more than anything in my experiences.

The weather imlementation? Well... Winter definitely isnt a canadian winter. But it adds spice and flavour. Current seasonal effect is a good mechanic I find, just takes adjusting to and a different approach to cars and your own driving. Break out of the shell.

As for custom championships, interesting but would it bring anything. Hard enough getting peeps to be interested in custom routes. A custom championships would mostly just be used to farm.

Edit:. And what endgame? Traditionally that is the top cars in top tunes in special championships. Horizons, you can get all that from one wheelspin first day?

Endgame activities man, the things you do once you clear all the regular events at least once up to the final races of each one, every online game has to have endgame activities, otherwise the game becomes dull and uninteresting, and you start to look for that "sense of progress" elsewhere..
A good example of those are the weekly championships, but you can clear them in a day or 2, leaving the rest of the 5 days of the week with nothing to do, since adventure mode kinda sucks right now, and blueprints need to improve as well.. that's why i summarized these things.

On the subject of seasons, i like the current system, tho i wouldn't mind if it were different, it just doesn't affect me at all.

Yeah, I hit end-game "maintenance mode" a few months ago. My time in FH4 now is really just a few hours each week to complete the weekly championships (or at least the ones that actually give rewards I care about) and check the AH for the few cars I still need to collect.

I actually would prefer if the game didn't require this weekly babysitting at all to get all the cars. I've been playing other games recently without the time-exclusive events and rewards, and it's so refreshing to know that if RL comes up and I need to take a break, there's no pressure to rush back to the game to avoid missing out on a car I might never be able to obtain ever again.

Anyways, what I would like to see for the endgame (which in the case of FH4 is pretty much the entire game given the utter lack of meaningful progression) is a lot more player freedom to create championships, a better custom route system that's not so clunky, better freeroam with interesting random events (like the bonus credit drivatars in FH3) and the ability to choose the season, better rivals with the ability to choose any track with any stock vehicle or PI target, and just a bunch of general polish improvements that should have been in the game at launch.

Endgame complaints already? I am level 400-ish and haven't even attempted tuning other than gears and aero. Feels like a long way to any sort of endgame.
I love the weekly seasons! I generally take all the Seasonal and Forzathon weekly challenges first (prizes and wheelspins!) and when those are done I go to rivals. But, I love messing with the different cars and making them "work" on the track of my choosing. I've created Blueprints on almost every track allowing me to race the same track with different car makes, models, years, classes, seasons, and weather modes. Haven't found a way in-game for tracking all my track times across the different cars, etc., so I have a personal notebook, hand written, with about 20 pages filled already. (It is a small notebook) ....notes on tuning, track features, car deficiencies that need addressing, tips from other players, etc. etc. Considering the amount of cars in this game and the depth of tuning available, I don't see and endgame at all here. For me, the prizes are secondary though. I like the racing....the glory of victory and the agony of defeat. Even if there is no fancy prize involved I still race for the racing. The CR and Influence gained from every race is more than adequate......and the more you race/gain levels, the more wheel spins you get.

Now that you bring up the rivals game mode, one thing i do not agree with the current system is that circuits force you to do a 2nd lap to get the best time, cuz you need the extra speed from the previous lap.. this isn't a big deal in short circuits, but when the goliath race or one of those big ones, is also a circuit and you have to do 2 laps just to set the time.. that's really not that great..
I would prefer if the time was logged on just 1 lap, non dependant of the speed you come from the one before..

You've been doing it wrong all this time...You actually don't need to do a 2nd lap, just drive backwards to get enough distance between your car and the starting line then just drive through the starting line like you would in a flying lap. The lap timer resets the moment you cross the starting line.

Also if you want to keep the 1st lap clean, and by "clean" I mean without interference from other cars, then simply wait for a bit until others are far away enough from you.

But what's the point the tuning, online racing? no, it's unplayble. Rivals? No, as you cant choose own car most of those, and even those where you can it's really not what you can call endgame after previous horizon games. Even gran turismo 1 did this kinda endgame mutch better when you could just choose track and car and start lapping without AI drivers so feel really stupid that triple a game in year 2019 dont offer any that kinda option.

@aoearielmansur Did you realize how bad that kinda system would be in shorter circuits, it would be just constant restart after restart like doing drag racing rivals.

@Vaporisor I wouldnt say hourly forzathon lives any kinda good endgame, it's just once in hour, and imo those have been boring allready long time and also there is not been in long time any use to forzathon points so what is point to grind thousands of forzathon points.

You did say you wanted to get the best lap time, didn't you? And the best lap time is only achievable from a flying start in both real life and games. There's simply no other way to do it. So it does make sense. Sure the game could just register the 1st lap from a standing start but then it wouldn't be the best lap. Therefore if you don't want to do a 2nd lap but still want to get the best lap time possible doing what I said is the only way.

My endgame is driving every car on an amazing 40-mile custom route I made, then recording all the times in a spreadsheet. Just hit prestige 3 last night. But I have Asperger's so I enjoy stupid **** like that way too much.

This is my first Forza so I don't have anything to compare too, but it would be nice to have more championships to run every week, and it still **** es me off that we only got 4 weeks of content on Fortune Island. I love that place but I have no reason to visit anymore. Custom championships sound nice and it would be interesting to see. I thought custom routes would be something I enjoyed more than I actually do. Right now it's literally impossible to figure out if the track is actually going to be some EZ CASH AND XP garbage or a legit track. Not being able to see a route map is really killing the feature.

I'd love to get into online adventure but I played it twice, and as it stands I'll never touch it again. Both times it was S2 cars in winter, nothing about it was enjoyable. And the fact that free roam rush is a thing just ruins the experience. Maybe if they just rewarded cash and XP for free roam rush instead of points towards the championship I'd be ok with it. But the last thing I want to do is race my supercar offroad. Also, I'd love to race some lower class cars instead of mostly S1 and S2. As it stands now I'll never play and PVP stuff besides the Trial events, which as of late I've actually enjoyed.

For me the "endgame" in FH4 would be collecting every car available, winning every offline race at least once, buying every house and getting 3 stars in every PR stunt and every story chapter. Though I have no intention fo get better at drifting to get 3 stars in every drifting zone so I'll never "finish" the game lol

Getting to 3 stars in every event and buying all the houses is considered "normal game" man.. at best you could say buying the 2 castles would be endgame, the rest nope, they are just regular activities you do while you play.. endgame are things that come AFTER you finished all of those, and new content if possible, like the championships.

I understand your point, and sure, it could be understood that way, and i guess since we are doing it like that, then forza devs think of it like that too.. but i still think that doing those extra steps in long races kinda suck, i would very much prefer best lap time from scratch.
Oh and kudos to you for your constructive criticism, we need more of that in the world.

In that point is not circuit hot lapping anymore it's come then just a long sprint. And it's not like we having huge amount of long circuits in this game as most circuits are one minute or under.

Made a discovery. Don't consider custom route engame. You can only ever share 1.... ONE! Route per start point. you can save five, but only the last one you drove will ever share. Even if you delete that route. So no nice collection of routes to share cause you get lockdown fast due to the limitations of the start locations. Effectively route creation is done for me as I am running out of starts and have tracks I love that I want to share. Is sharing the saves too much to ask? Or even manually share?

Actually if im not wrong, it show last route that you have share instead last route you have driven. But overall it's really bad system that we have pretty mutch no control even our own blueprints who to **** think it's good idea that player cant delete their own blueprints.

Nope, it is last route driven. Driven is how it shares. And that is the only one that will ever ever show up when searched, even for yourself.

Here is the story:

So I got all my tracks for the routecomps. I manage the blueprint five count before can overwrite thing easily enough, I can deal with that. But is the catch I never knew about before now since when I go to a spot, I got "My Events" all five, looking happy. The share and place holder, or perhaps a second track.

Well, in the route creator's discord, one of the people mentioned that my "The Second Sally" wasn't there. I was very confused. What was there was a quick route I did as a drivertar mechanics test. But I deleted that route. The blueprint was gone. But I had a few variants of Second Sally still there. Was just boggling my mind. I made new tracks with the default route, saved over all my second sally blueprints, then saved new blueprints with tracks.

No matter what I did, It only ever showed that test when I or anybody else ran a search. As a last attempt, I invited a friend to try and co-op, see if they could join. Well they could join so I was completely flubbergasted.

Today, was asked for more info on the bug report. Sent new info, and then for some reason went back there to search.... Wait, it was now showing the correct track, but only one.

That is when I found it, it is showing the last of my blueprints I drove. Doesn't matter about saving or making a new one. I drove it, then it would show.

So now effectively, many of my route creation locations are effectively under quarantine and answers a lot. When I would make a route for routecomp, I would make a few different blueprints as I test the different time and weather settings for what is nice. So when they have checked my routes? It probably wasn't the one I submitted if I tried another setting later, even if I saved over it. I got some tracks with pretty decent likes.

Throwdown in Snow Down for example is at 2.5k likes. Not bad for a non farming/weekly event route. But it also means now, that route would disappear the instant I run any other blueprint. That goes for all the tracks in my championship forum post in the sig. Every single one of those start points now have to be on permanent quarantine from me in regards to ever creating another blueprint. I cannot touch them or else it will disappear from share. The local drive does not track that. Once gone, gone forever.

Double nauseating because I have a few tracks I have posted with multiple PI or cars depending on what I want to drive without the smorgasbord of anything goes. Prime examples are my "Copperhead Road" and "Roarin Roadsters Targa" which both have two different car sets variants. It also gets worse. Because I have noticed that my creative hub has two "Knights of the Round"

Very problematic for that one because I had created it at different start points in the past but didn't like the routes. Blueprints I have deleted? Doesn't matter, track is still there. So people search it, they get a big wad of garbage.

It just... boggles my mind.... I cannot comprehend the logic that ever even conceived such a poorly done mechanic. I mean yeah, I knew route creator had some issues, but with some experience, they were no problems at all. But this? Why would you ever have the shares separate from the saves and never give a way to manually share? I just cannot figure it out at all. Just flabbergasted. Five save slots, but only one share and if you want to keep it shared you can never touch that start location again?

That sounds weird because after i saw your first post i tested this at two accounts with that difference that my blueprints are just basic horizon tracks, i drive event that i have share few months ago and in same track i made few weeks ago 5 lap tune testing blueprint, i then jump in my old account and look that race and it show that 5 lap tune testing blueprint instead of blueprint that i just drive 5 minutes ago. I will test this tomorrow more (or actually today after i have get some sleep first)

There is allready design flaws that come just making normal blueprints and how you can manage those but it's get even worst in route creators as your example sadly shows. And also it's yet another example how this game is not tested enough before publishing and even worst that many these kinda design flaws are still in the game after 5 months of launch.

After the issues with routecomp2 and complaints on this series community championships, I was looking to help and really get active a solid route creation community. Already limited by locked starting lines, I really dont know how to progress. I can give and help all who want it, but at same time, I am now really restricted already for my series 7 due to limited starts. A series 8 will be impossible.

I havent played in a couple of weeks now, I havent even bothered to do the XJ220 thing despite liking the car.

Theres just not much that interests me at the moment. I look at those seasonal things and its just +10m on a danger sign or race in a very very specific class and car type, usually rally, or S something. I dont believe i have ever seen an A or B class road circuit seasonal with appropriate cars - which is what i'd like to do. Adventure mode is pointless its just S cars its all i ever saw when i tried. S class cars are the realm of no skillers that sticky tape thier throttle triggers down. Just a frustrating waste of time.

There was even that thing with the playground games to win a car.. i do not ever do the playground games. Capture the flag doesnt work with cars, none of them do its just a frustration fest.

FH3's multiplayer racing isnt perfect but i found it better and at least it offered some minute element of player choice

The only Rivals I play are those where I can drive my own cars. After a few laps with someone else's car, I just want to tune it to make it work for my style/feel. One thing I dislike about rivals is, one little bump and the race gets flagged.......very frustrating when this happens towards the end of a long race. Sure, I still get the CR and influence, but the time isn't counted against the rival time.

I play both, and i enjoy more the ones where a vehicle is given cuz then i can try a car i might not have, plus it's better for competition wise being the same vehicle for everyone.
Now regarding the flagged time, yah that's a bummer.
