I want to get the Ultimate Edition of Forza Horizon 4 for PC, however i hate playing racing games with keyboard and mouse. I am thinking of buying a Xbox One S controller to play the game with on my PC. I was wondering if i will be able to do this and the game will support the controller on PC. I know windows support Xbox 360 controllers but im not sure if thats the same with Xbox One controllers such as the S model? If not i will just get a 360 controller instead.

Hey! I use a Xbox one S controller and it works perfectly fine in the demo and in Horizon 3, its also a good controller for other PC games and many support the Xbox one controller in general :)
I use mine with a USB cable, but you can also buy a bluetooth dongle to use with the computer if you don't want to use cables. I use a 10m extension cable so I can sit in my sofa.
The Xbox one controller will 100% work with Forza Horizon 4.

Yes you can :D There are wireless adapters you can buy for older Xbox One controllers. The newest version of the controllers have blue tooth so you can sync that way, if your PC also has blue tooth. Or, you can just plug it in with the charging cable.
