This week, the season completion reward cars are the Hoonigan Ford Fiesta (50% completion) and the 1993 Ford Mustang (80% completion). In addition, players looking for the hard-to-find Lancia Delta or the Audi TT RS, will be rewarded with events offering those very cars."

Quote:
As we sometimes do here in the Week in Review, today’s edition is focused a bit more on what’s ahead than on what happened this past week. That’s because not only do we have the head of the Forza franchise joining today’s edition of #ForzaFriday, we’re just days away from live shows featuring the latest news in Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Motorsport 7. So, bear with us as we anticipate the near future of Forza here in the Week in Review!

SPRING CONTENT
  • "As we mentioned in last week’s edition of the Week in Review, the Rimac C_TWO is now available to earn in Forza Horizon 4! You can grab this two-geared, all-electric powerhouse by completing 50% of the Spring season events in the game, and don’t miss the 2004 Subaru WRX, which is available to those who complete 80% of the season events. Look for new series and seasonal events and rewards coming with next week’s Series 11 update."

SIR MIX-A-LOT INTERVIEW
  • "Last week, Seattle hip hop legend Sir Mix-A-Lot joined our own Johniwanna on the June 19 edition of “Wheel & Pedal Wednesday”, bringing along his Lamborghini Aventador to discuss on the show. If you missed it the first time around, the show is now up on the Forza YouTube channel for you to enjoy: https://youtu.be/VwDChA22S3A"

#FORZAFRIDAY LIVESTREAM
  • "Alan Hartman, Turn 10 Studio Manager and head of all things Forza, is coming to today’s edition of #ForzaFriday! The show begins at 3 p.m. Pacific on the Forza Mixer and Twitch channels and we’ll be spending an hour with him, talking about his career in games and with Forza, and of course chatting about the latest news in the world of Forza. We hope to see you there!"

UPDATE 11 PREVIEW & FORZA MONTHLY LIVESTREAMS
  • "On Monday, we’ll be broadcasting our Series 11 stream from Playground Games HQ, which will begin at 10 a.m. Pacific/6 p.m. UK time. Watch as our friends at Playground take you through everything you need to know about the latest update for Forza Horizon 4, which arrives on Tuesday, July 2nd."
  • "Directly following Playground’s stream, we’ll kick off with the July edition of “Forza Monthly” which will begin at 11 a.m. Pacific/7 p.m. Pacific. In addition to chatting with Playground about the latest Forza Horizon 4 updates, we’ll also be joined by Chris Esaki to take viewers through the latest news in Forza Motorsport 7, including the Forza Race Regulations updates arriving with the July update. We’ll also be debuting a new Q&A segment where we answer questions from the community about all things Forza. Don’t miss it!"

FH4 Release Notes: July 1st, 2019
Avatar JetPartySalad

We're constantly working to improve the experience in Forza Horizon 4. Below you will find a summary of items fixed or improved upon in this content update.

Version Number
PC: 1.317.24.2
Xbox: 1.317.24.0

TOP GEAR HORIZON SPECIAL
The Horizon Festival is in the UK this year, and Top Gear presenter Chris Harris and The Stig are there to see what it’s all about. This update adds a new Horizon Story, with 7 chapters of gameplay featuring entirely new gameplay, narrated by Chris Harris. Completing the Top Gear Horizon Special will unlock the “I am The Stig” T-shirt , The Stig Race Suit, the Top Gear Project E-AT, the Top Gear Track-Tor and the Mercedes Benz G63 6x6 Sports Utility Truck.

AUCTION HOUSE CHANGES
The maximum possible Auction House prices for many cars will now fluctuate based on sales, up to a maximum of 20.000.000 CR. The system will monitor which cars sell quickly, and allow their maximum price to rise over time. The maximum price for cars that do not sell quickly will fall over time, to find an equilibrium. Legendary Painters will not be affected by this system, and will be able to set prices as before. We will monitor the impact of this feature on car prices and continue to respond to it.

CLASS-BASED RIVALS
Back by popular demand, we’ve added Class-Based Rivals to Forza Horizon 4! Now you can build the perfect hot-lapping machine for each Class and each Route, and dominate those leaderboards. These new Class-Based Rivals Events have been added alongside our existing curated Events.

HORIZON LIFE TIMELINE
This is your Horizon Life! We’ve added the ability to deep-dive into your progress through the Horizon Life campaign, and see the rewards you’ve yet to unlock. Simply visit the Horizon Life screen and choose any tile to see your progress in that area of the campaign.

MORE STAR CARD REWARDS
Being a superstar deserves super rewards, so we’ve amped up each of the Star Cards with an extra reward:
Become a Racing Superstar to earn the PG Race Outfit (Legendary Clothing)
Become a PR Stunt Superstar to earn the 2012 Hot Wheels Rip Rod (Legendary Car)
Become a Superstar Explorer to earn the Gold Viking Helmet (Legendary Clothing)
Become a Superstar Creator to earn the Dark Crown (Legendary Clothing)
Become a Story Superstar to earn the 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast (Legendary Car)
Become an Adventure Superstar to earn the Golden Chicken Suit (Legendary Clothing)
Only the base game content is required to complete the Star Card challenges and earn these rewards.

ACCESSIBILITY IMPROVEMENTS
Added High Contrast UI Mode, available from within Video Settings. Ensures that text elements have a minimum level of contrast with their backgrounds to aid readability for visually impaired users.
Added Screen Reader functionality to improve UI navigation for visually impaired users. This feature can be enabled using the ‘Let Games Read To Me’ option in the Xbox ‘Ease of Use’ system settings.

CROSS-PLATFORM FIXES

Fixed an issue where rebooting at the initial car select during quick start would cause the player to be stuck at reboot

Fixed an issue where the player was always starting at the LEGO Valley house, despite selecting a home on the Mainland

Fixed an issue which caused the map to appear blurry for a few seconds when opened in LEGO Valley

Improved the logic behind what does, and what does not trigger wall riding penalties

Fixed an issue with audio distortion on the Koenigsegg Agera RS

Fixed an issue where some cars had no audio when selecting to “Drive Out” of Forzavista

Fixed an issue with sorting on Grandmaster Leaderboards for Online Adventure

Fixed an issue where stickers on LEGO Speed Champion cars were disappearing when underwater

Fixed an issue with some of the Beauty Spots in LEGO Valley playing the wrong VO

Seasonal Championships in LEGO Valley now count towards Star Card progression

Fixed an issue which would cause other cars to disappear, and remain missing, if the player entered and then quit an event whilst enrolled in a #FORZATHON Live event

Fixed an edge case where players would get stuck in a state where the pause menu would be blocked if they select a car for a co-op event as the host is cancelling the event

Fixed an issue in route creator where attempting to view the map via the pause menu after placing a checkpoint could lead to the player getting stuck on a blank screen

Fixed an issue in route creator in LEGO valley where the time of day and sky settings were not matching the creators settings

Fixed an issue where seasonal Speed and Drift Zones were not displaying their full route on the map, or mini-map

Fixed an issue where player Stats showed incorrect numbers for Horizon Stories and Businesses

Various performance and stability improvements

Forza Week in Review 7-5-19
Brian Ekberg

Quote:
We’ve got a lot a scroll-heavy edition of the Forza Week in Review today, with loads of Forza Motorsport 7 event information packed in. Last week, we mentioned that online events in Forza 7 will be cycled going forward as the development team moves onto the next project. In today’s edition, we’ve got the full rundown of the content that will be cycling in the game (see below).

Before we get to that, let’s wrap up the week with a look back at the two big updates for Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Motorsport 7. Welcome to the Week in Review!

SERIES 11 - TOP GEAR CONTENT
Quote:
Series 11 has arrived for Forza Horizon 4, bringing with it a healthy dose of Top Gear fun. Longtime fans know that Forza has enjoyed a long partnership with Top Gear, going all the way back to Forza Motorsport 3. However, it’s taken that long for the famed British automotive TV series to makes its way to the Forza Horizon series.

Top Gear appears in the Series 11 update in a big way; first and foremost with a Top Gear-themed Horizon Story series of challenges. Beating chapters in the series will unlock Top Gear themed gear and, importantly, some very cool vehicles, including the Top Gear Project E-AT, the Track-Tor, and the big guy: the Mercedes-Benz G63 6X6 Sports Utility Truck.

That’s six wheels and four tons of MB madness designed to go anywhere in the world of Forza Horizon 4 with confidence. As Playground Games’ Matt Pickering told us during Monday’s “Forza Monthly,” building the 6X6 was more complicated than it appears, as the ForzaTech engine didn’t immediately support a third axle on vehicles. Lucky for us, the car team at Playground made it happen and we can all enjoy the 6X6 as a result.

Another big addition to Series 11 is class-based Rivals, one of the big asks from the Forza community. Now players can hotlap any pre-determined route in Forza Horizon 4 across any class in the game. You can find the new Rivals events by going to the Rivals tab in the Pause menu, then clicking on the Rivals Race Discipline button. From there, you’ll see events organized by type (Road Racing, Dirt Racing, etc.) Select the event type you want, and then you can select from each individual route and, within that, the class you wish to race.

In addition to the above, Series 11 has brought some new Auction House changes, more Star Card Rewards, and a new Horizon Life timeline feature, where you can see exactly which rewards are available to you as you progress through each specialization in Horizon Life. For more, check out the full Release Notes for the Series 11 update on the Forza Support site.

If you missed Playground’s live run-through of all the Series 11 details from Monday, you can watch the replay right here: https://youtu.be/cLDzl7lQH6w

#FORZAMONTHLY Q&A
Quote:
If you missed Monday’s edition of “Forza Monthly” you missed Turn 10’s Chris Esaki and Playground Games’ Matt Pickering taking questions from the Forza community during our Community Q&A segment. During the show, Matt answered questions around ongoing support for Forza Horizon 4, as well as when fans can expect online improvements, among other questions. Meanwhile, Chris tackled questions around the Forza/IMSA partnership, drafting improvements, and the future of “original” tracks in Forza games.

Check out the Q&A segment in our replay below (fast forward to the 47:33 mark to go straight to the Q&A): https://youtu.be/4VFJFP6h43Q

#FORZAFRIDAY
Quote:
If you missed last Friday’s edition of #ForzaFriday, featuring Forza boss Alan Hartman, do yourself a favor and go back and watch it. We had a great conversation with Alan, as he shared stories from his career in games and with Forza, including an unforgettable story of working with Dreamworks and famed director Steven Spielberg. As we’re coming off the Fourth of July holiday here in the U.S. we won’t have a guest for today’s edition of #ForzaFriday; instead we’ll be hanging out with viewers and playing both Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Motorsport 7. The show starts at 3 p.m. Pacific on Mixer and Twitch, we hope to see you there!

Forza Week in Review 7-19-19
Brian Ekberg
Friday, July 19, 2019
www.forzamotorsport.net/news/wir_7_19_19

Quote:
Welcome back to the Forza Week in Review. Since our last WIR edition, we’ve seen the opening of a new Microsoft Flagship store in London, where Forza played a front-and-center role. We’re also looking at the new events in Forza Horizon 4 and welcoming a new guest to #ForzaFriday. Let’s go!

MICROSOFT STORE LONDON OPENING
  • "The new flagship Microsoft Store opened in London on July 11. Located on Oxford Street not far from Hyde Park, the new store opened up in grand fashion and Forza games were a huge part of the fun. Not only could visitors try out the new LEGO Speed Champions Expansion for Forza Horizon 4, the store also featured a dark blue McLaren Senna – this one NOT built out of LEGO bricks, mind you – in which fans could climb in and play Forza Motorsport 7 on a screen projected in front of the car. Talk about an expensive racing accessory!"

SEASONAL CONTENT
  • "Winter is here in Forza Horizon 4 along with new events to explore and rewards to earn. This season, players can earn a pair of Koenigsegg cars – the CCX (50 percent completion) and the Regera (80 percent completion); there are also a few hard-to-find vehicles out there for those willing to work, including the Chevrolet ZR2 pickup, the drift-ready Ford Mustang Spec 5, and the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GT 4."
  • "Spring arrives next week and its bringing a couple of classic British reward cars: the Caterham R500 Forza Edition (50 percent completion) and the TVR Tuscan (80 percent completion), alongside other rewards like the Ferrari Dino, the Renault 5 Turbo Forza Edition, and a new Jeep Wrangler that will be rewarded for completing next week’s “The Trial”."
  • "Remember, there are Series Rewards on tap too, namely the Bugatti T35 C (50 percent completion) and the “I Beat the Stig” T-shirt (80 percent completion)."

#WHEELANDPEDALWEDS
  • "If you missed this week’s edition of Wheel & Pedal Wednesday, you missed a genuine Japanese legend in Johniwanna’s garage – the Nissan R32 GT-R and its owner Rob from Godspeed Fabrication. Rob’s been on W&PW before – last seen showing off his Rat Rod – this week’s show was a chance to get up close and personal with the automotive equivalent to a monstrous kaiju. Don’t miss the replay on the Forza channel for an in-depth look at this JDM classic."

#FORZAFRIDAY GUEST NEHA CHINTALA
  • "A new guest to interview on #ForzaFriday is always a cause for celebration and, today, we’ve got just that. We’re welcoming Turn 10 producer Neha Chintala to the show today for her first appearance on the show. Neha joined the team earlier in the year and has most notably led the team building Forza Race Regulations in Forza Motorsport 7. During today’s show, we’ll be chatting with Neha about all things Forza and playing both Forza Motorsport 7 and Forza Horizon 4. The show starts at 3 p.m. Pacific on Mixer and Twitch; stop by and welcome Neha to the show!"

FUTURE SCHEDULE
  • "The next edition of the Forza Week in Review will be published on Friday, August 2nd."

Welcome back to the Forza Week in Review, where we’re ringing in the Series 12 update for Forza Horizon 4 along with a new LEGO-themed barn find car, celebrating Forza Motorsport 6 as a Games With Gold entry in August, welcoming a new (but NOT T10) guest to #ForzaFriday, and looking ahead to Monday’s episode of “Forza Monthly.” Let’s go!

FORZA HORIZON 4 SERIES 12 UPDATE
  • "Series 12 is here! The latest update for Forza Horizon 4 arrived this week and brought with it some new Showcase Remix events and a brand new LEGO barn find in the form of the Porsche 911 Turbo 3.0, along with four new reward cars (two Aston Martin models and a pair of Volkswagens). Our friends at Playground Games went deep on the Series 12 update in their livestream broadcast earlier in the week. Watch as they run through all of the cool stuff for each season and attempt to construct the real-life LEGO version of the Porsche 911 barn find on the show: https://youtu.be/7J_snyIM-rk "

WHEEL AND PEDAL WEDNESDAY | 2012 CATERHAM R400
  • "William Chen, Franchise Manager for Turn 10 Studios, has raced go-karts and always been a car lover. ... Check out this week’s replay of Wheel & Pedal Wednesday where Johniwanna talks with William about what it’s like to own a road-legal track toy."

#FORZAFRIDAY LIVESTREAM - GUEST JEFF EASTERLING
  • "We’re welcoming another great guest to the #ForzaFriday couch today. Jeff Easterling is a Halo Franchise Writer at 343 Industries, where he helps curate the canon of Halo’s vast and ever-expanding universe, working on everything from games and novels to comic books, live events, and more. He’s no stranger to our side of the fence though, as Jeff spent 14 years working in professional motorsports before making the jump over to the gaming industry, working with teams and drivers in series like IMSA, Rolex, the ALMS, World Challenge, and more. We last touched base with him in the Fall of 2018 to help unveil the Halo showcase event in Forza Horizon 4, so welcome him to the show today starting at 3 p.m. Pacific on the official Forza Mixer and Twitch channels."

#FORZAMONTHLY
  • "Last but certainly not least, we’re days away from the launch of the next edition of “Forza Monthly.” The show kicks off on Monday, August 5 at 11 a.m. Pacific. On the show, we’ll be checking out the August update for Forza Motorsport 7, recapping the Series 12 update for Forza Horizon 4, and more."

#FORZAMONTLY RECAP
  • "We had the first of two August episodes of “Forza Monthly” this past Monday, covering not just the latest Forza Motorsport 7 news, but also diving into the Series 12 update for Forza Horizon 4, including the release of the new LEGO Speed Championship Porsche 911 3.0 Turbo barn find, as well as one of the two new Showcase Remix events."
  • Next livestream August 27: "Wait, two episodes in August? In a word, yes. With monthly updates ending for Forza Motorsport 7, and news on the next Forza game still to come, we’ve made some changes to the “Forza Monthly” show schedule to better align with other things happening in the Forza Universe. In the short term, that means two “monthly” shows in August."

SEASONAL CONTENT - AUTUMN
  • "The Volkswagen Karmann Ghia and the Ford Crown Vic are now up for grabs in the Autumn season changeover in Forza Horizon 4. The Karmann Ghia is one of the new VW models introduced with the Series 12 update for the game, alongside the new Series rewards, the Cadillac Escalade and the Mosler MT800S. Also among the Autumn season events and rewards, we’ve got the 1967 VW Notchback available as part of the “Racing Through the Years – 1960s” event, the Maserati Tipo 61 in the “Out of Retirement” Season Event, and the 2013 BMW M6 Forza Edition available in the “Family Car Frenzy” Season Event."

#FORZAFRIDAY WITH GUEST DAN GREENAWALT
  • "Forza creative director Dan Greenawalt joins us today on #ForzaFriday, where we’ll be looking back at the past two years of Forza Motorsport 7 development and looking ahead to the future of Forza. In celebration of its final update, we’ll be spending the full show in Forza 7 and of course, we’ll be answering your questions along the way. Join us on the official Mixer and Twitch channels starting at 3 p.m. Pacific."
