Good point, this division is messed up due to the DBR9 being limited and the Maserati being RWD and low enough PI to add huge power to it.

This division in particular is more fun when homologated and, considering how slow the DBR9 is, I'd rather not have in the game than see it outpaced by inferior cars, but that's me.

They won't run stock cars because the Maserati Trofeo and the Audi TT are S-class and uncompetitive against the others.

Unless they have Elite status as tuner or a Painter they will have to use a Forza Edition Car and the only cheap ones are VIP cars like the Escort for 110,000 creds. The mark up on standard cars is only about 10% for most players. So yep could be a tad hard for non VIP members unless they want to sell a FE car won from ForzaThons or Showcases.

Could emai, Turn 10 and see if they can do something like a transfer of credits from yours to theres.

Yes, I like it. Beating the driver and getting in the top 10% is all about determination to improve and satisfaction not prizes for me. I want those HE cars but happy for them to be front loaded.

Unless this is rental only with no tuning then the maserati gt car will be the LB car outright.
Credits for top 10 % ??? LOL ! ( like credit awards havent been relevant since forza 4 )

Just realised ... the m4 bmw isnt event in the game. doesnt show on the colloection list as a locked car .
only one I have is the 2011 s drive version , got confused with that .

If tuning is allowed then John isnt going to be able to handle the truly fast cars IMO which should make this reasonably easy. Any of the fast guys would be able to do this in their sleep.

I want you guys to better yourselves and having to do it from a standing start means you have to get your lines/throttle/braking all down well.

I also want to clarify "first 4" seeing as its this forum. First 4 in HLC format. Battle it out. Not just the first 4 who show up.

Noticed that Hibdhaugh set a time in the Brickyard: ForzaRC IndyCar Challenge event. He ran a 38.721. I'm guessing he only did enough laps to get an idea what it was like driving the IndyCar in Forza.

He does have some real world GT racing experience which will help him.

How does it work with the first 4 when his time probably wont be final until july?

Also are the replays accurate enough to be able to tell if someone maybe reverses a bit off the line before starting their out lap?

HLC format. 1 - 4, I'll keep track/leaderboard of those who post, after checking replay.

Should be easy to tell who backs up and who doesnt.

heh, that 5.5 million just got harder to get.

I beat him by 5 seconds with my first attempt from a standing start (passed his ghost around the 90 second mark), but I couldn't bear to leave my time as a standing start performance, so kept going for a clean flying lap. 4:05 vs current #1 of 3:55, I'm not sure sub 4 minutes is achievable for me, but I'll have a go at following a few decent ghosts some time and see what I can learn.

Edit: down to 4:03 after following AMS Vanquish for a few laps.

Hrm... The percentiles don't match the quote in the OP, and there's no mention of the participation award...

Of all the cars John could have chosen, he goes for the Porsche RSR. I'd think that would be one of the harder cars to handle, especially for an inexperienced player.

I don't need the credits but I like the challenge of trying to stay ahead of John with a standing lap.

Initial standing lap set in the #7 Aston Martin GT3 of 4:09.481. Given the selection I may try several different cars. What I can tell you is the M-B GT3 hits the rev limit shortly before the first chicane on the Mulsanne.

If you place, I'll pass your CR to the person in 5th.
If more people choose to play and opt out of CR and the whole top 4 was like so, I'll pass it to 5 - 8.
