The Maserati is capable of hitting ~219 mph (low downforce) in a straight line. The next fastest is the R8 which, even if you fiddle with the engine upgrades, doesn't come close enough to be competitive with the Maserati. Good point, this division is messed up due to the DBR9 being limited and the Maserati being RWD and low enough PI to add huge power to it.
This division in particular is more fun when homologated and, considering how slow the DBR9 is, I'd rather not have in the game than see it outpaced by inferior cars, but that's me.
They won't run stock cars because the Maserati Trofeo and the Audi TT are S-class and uncompetitive against the others.
