Franchise Manager
- Manage Forza franchise businesses
- Be the primary advocate for the Forza business segments that you manage
- Drive business to agreed financial, customer acquisition, engagement, and/or MAU targets
- Regularly analyze revenue and established KPIs, develop forecasts, targets and additional KPIs as appropriate, and drive strategies for reaching objectives
- Partner with internal and external marketing, and community management teams to deliver business results
- Identify and develop business opportunities that contribute to key business initiatives and franchise growth
- Own revenue & profitability targets and be accountable for results
- Drive Reviews and ROB (Rhythm of Business) for assigned franchise businesses
- Drive quarterly business reviews and updates to Turn10 management
- Analyze key performance indicators and communicate insights to the broader team to inform decisions
- Develop and maintain Roadmap for assigned business
- Build financial models to guide decision making on business structure, strategy, pricing, revenue, and strategy
- Interact with production resources to develop roadmap to support business’s needs and growth while balancing production impact
- Identify and evaluate new opportunities, align with business objectives and drive profitable growth
- A franchise business is an identifiable, and materially important, slice of Turn10’s business. Examples would cut across verticals and product lines, and include:
- Console PDLC (Paid Downloadable Content)
- Console Title Sustain (Keeping players engaging with Forza long after purchase)
- China (and other geographic regions that represent growth opportunities)
- Forza Merchandise & Hardware
- PC Bundling
- Forza Racing Championship (Esports)
- Promotions Roadmap (Windows Store Discounting Biz)
- Demographic & Audience Segment Study - 5 years
- Localization
- SKU Planning (Bundles and upsells)
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate Degree required, Masters Degree a plus
- Minimum of 7 years in a business development or brand management leadership role
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working on a substantial franchise with a presence on multiple platforms, in consumer products and/or services, and in several forms of media.
Other required skills:
- Brand Management experience in a video game company and/or a consumer package goods company a plus
- High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to analyze/diagnose complex product and business challenges, formulate insights and recommendations, and motivate the broader organization to action with limited guidance
- Data-driven: experience analyzing data and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Strong planning & analytics skills, and attention to detail
- Passion for technology and video games: you understand the video game industry, consumer products, and technology.
- Worked with product / software engineering teams to deliver quality products on time
- Have shipped multiple AAA games, have shipped at least one of those in the Exec Producer role
- Process excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in international markets
- Effective collaborations skills, including the ability to positively embrace feedback, divergent opinions and drive for consensus.
- Great communication skills including an observable capacity for Empathy; the ability to communicate effectively with anyone from a variety of perspectives is critical to this role.
- Familiarity with a variety of gaming and other entertainment platforms and business models.
- Familiarity with the Racing genre landscape on all gaming platforms, and a healthy dose of car passion would be helpful
- Experience with licensed content
