Forza said that we got more information about car collecting during Gamescom. Where is this important information? We have only seen the in-game menu's.

Bill touched on the topic during the Mixer Live stream. Basically, the more cars you own the higher your collection Teir. The higher your Collection Teir the better level-up rewards you get.

I thought he was going to show us how to go to the 'garage/cars menu'.

I'm sure it'll be easy enough.
If I were you, I'd start taking a liking to a fair amount of cars and put them on your list for usage. I don't know how large the difference between a low or high collection tier will be, but its always nice to be safe.

If you look at this video https://youtu.be/me1lHoWmsl4?t=15m52s you'll see at 15:32 that there is a number next to the Ferrari 360 CS (+515). That could mean it adds "515 Car Collection Points" to that Tier level like we have seen it with XP.

From the Week in Review https://www.forzamotorsp.../en-us/news/wir_8_25_17
Quote:
Beyond Suzuka, one of the coolest new features we showed off at Gamescom was the concept of car collecting. As you probably know, Forza 7 features more than 700 cars, and we want to encourage players to experience the breadth and depth of that huge library of cars. With our new car collecting system, the more cars you own in Forza 7, the better the rewards you earn. As you earn new cars –by purchasing them with credits, or via the Auction House, or winning them in from #Forzathon events, or in the Forza Driver’s Cup campaign, etc. – you’re earn car collector points that will raise your Car Collector Tier level. The higher the Tier, the better the rewards (including credits, Mod Packs, Driver Gear suits, and more) you’ll be able to choose from each time you level up.

I have read in the some Media that Forza 7 have 700 Cars in the Garage but some Cars are only to get in the Season Mode is this right ?

When its right i better buy Project Cars 2 ! I have a hadicaped Woman at Home ( and she is much more important than a Game or Console can be it ) and i be Truck driver in Germany we have to work until 15 hrs a Day so i do not want to waste my very important free Time with Races i do not like !

Please answer truth or not. The lies at Forza 6 ( 23 Drivatars online was more than too much ) than 20 Drivatars and 4 Humans was at this time the truth......

Sounds like a fun side project if credits are challenging to earn. Even if credits get handed out like candy it may still be something fun to do for at least the first few months of gameplay.

If this is like Forza Horizon 3, you will be able to buy those special cars in the Auction House later if you didn't have time to play forzathon events.

Yeah it appears there are 2 progression systems.

- Just sheer XP after racing
- Amount of cars collected

Each time you level up from the xp you can choose 3 rewards
- A discount on a car / a car by itself
- A certain amount of money (higher amount when you are at a higher car collection)
- A mod pack (mods are around the same system as FM6 so they prob only work in campaign)

And each time you level up in car collection it increases your rewards from the normal XP levelup system, (i personally also think that certain levels and ranks will give badges but that isn't confirmed)

Wasn't this already explaint @E3 ...

'You will have a tier that is based on how large your car collection is, and some of the most exclusive cars will be unlocked through Showcase events - which are returning for Forza Motorsport 7. The higher your tier is, the larger your post race reward will be. This is an interesting new system, and one that I'm curious to try out.

"So, as you can see, we’re rewarding players differently in Forza Motorsport 7; not just with how we’re rewarding them but with the rewards themselves. Naturally, there’s going to be credits to earn and cars to collect but, for the first time in the Forza Motorsport series, we’re bringing the driver our of the car and to the forefront with our new Driver Gear feature."

I think he is not talking about the Forzathon cars.

Some cars can only be unlocked via showcase events.
See the link posted above.

At least you can't buy those via the dealer, but most likely via the auction house (like it was with the Ford Focus RS RX in FH3 through the Kingmaker event).

WHAT ???

Sorry ... and even I won't post a link to that site again .... but just to make things clear ...

the link was a standard article about an E3 2017 interview.
The 'source' was an exclusiv interview with Dan Greenawalt, Creative Director of Turn 10 Studios, given to people from that site (I'm obviously not allowed to name).
And even HeliosT10 points to 'that people' inside the current Gamescom2017 thread.

Maybe someone can bring some light via PM ... THANKS.

Unlike a lot of other players...I do not like to own a lot of exotics or supercars....I like to race in muscle and JDM cars...usually from the 1960's to the 1990's....some early 2000's ....so I understand why they gave a accentive for you to own certain cars to make your garage collection more diverse....a lot of people want to drive the most popular and well known car...me , I want to get my hands on that Mitsubishi Starion , the R31 Skyline, and the Honda Preludes....build some unorthodox killer tunes....and try to smoke some Porsches, Ferraris, and Lambos!

From the debut livestream:

Each car is assigned to a Tier level. You start at Tier 1 and only have access (in your garage) to the Tier 1 cars. Each car has a number of points. Accumulate points to unlock Tier 2 cars. As your Tier goes up, your discounts on obtaining cars goes up, and your Milestone Rewards are improved.

At the start of the game your DLC cars can be collected for free in two ways:
- Go to the Car Collector menu, which is grouped by Tier. Find the "Free" DLC cars and collect them directly to your garage.
- Go to the Buy Car menu and sort by manufacturer for the Free Cars list. Selecting a car this way will first take you through the curated liveries (or pick your color) before you add each one to your garage.

If you have trouble finding a specific car in the Collector menu, use the Buy Car menu to sort them. Hoonigan and Fate of the Furious cars appear to be in their own named Divisions.

From what I've seen, car tier & collector points are directly linked to car price. I haven't worked out the collector points, but tier levels are as follows:

Tier 1 - 0-50,000cr
Tier 2 - 50,000-100,000cr
Tier 3 - 100,000-250,000cr
Tier 4 - 250,000-500,000cr
Tier 5 - 500,000cr+

Watching streaming from ontm I could see that when I reached tier 4 in the collection of cars, there are 6 and 7 tiers, and the question would be: Are there any new cars in these tiers?

so for tiers cars 6, 7 and 8, could they be new not been shown so far? Do you have any chance of getting new cars inside those tiers?

I doubt there will be any new cars added beyond tier 5, since cars like the 250 GTO and the One:1 are all in tier 5. Higher tiers probably just increase your level rewards & discounts.

there are achievements for collection of tiers cars 6, 7 and 8, from what I see, all cars have a tier, of all so far shown closes the list made previously, has not yet completed the +700 cars of the game.
