ForzaRC Wednesday Showdown Recap

www.forzamotorsport.net/news/wir_4_13_18

Quote:
ForzaRC casters Scott Cole and Alie Tacq were accompanied by professional racing driver and friend of Forza, Tanner Foust. The trio delivered blistering commentary on both the EMEA and NA ForzaRC Wednesday Showdown races. They shared the stage with a beautiful C7 LT8 Corvette Stingray convertible that Tanner gave us a little tour of during both shows. Now here are some highlights from those races, which you can watch in full below.

EMEA

EMEA coverage started with race two of three that were to take place. The car they would be racing was chosen by poll. When the votes were counted, drivers saddled up the awesome extreme street performance of the 1987 Ferrari F40 and the race took place at Silverstone.

Over the course of eight laps it was Laige starting at pole after winning race one, bbb0x second, and Roadrunner third on the grid. Laige pushed out from the start and maintained his lead throughout the race to win again. The podium was filled by b0x and ASIX after Roaadrunner slipped back to seventh.

The final race was a reverse grid and shook up the race order. It would be a test for Laige. Could he fight his way through a pack as well as he cuts through the clean air of a pole start? The answer was no, as the field took on the Nürburgring GP circuit for eight laps in the 2014 Honda #5 Zengo Civic WTCC. This is, of course, a FWD car, and a four-cylinder turbo in heavy contrast to the previous racecar used.

Laige never got past anyone and ended where he started, in 12th. Driver b0x worked his way up to 8th but fell back again to remain 11th. The podium was held by Commando in first, Seven in second and ChemicaL in third. Check out the Round 1 Showdown standings for how it all added up. Or watch the EMEA races unfold here on Mixer.

NA

The North American racers started at Sebring for seven laps in the Corvette C7.R. The V8s rumbled as Lightning, Harmonic, and Bilysoo headed up the grid. As the race developed Diablo dropped out in between laps five and six. Bilysoo fell back to sixth then charged his way to fourth. At the end, the stage was set for what would be an epic battle between winner Lightning, second place Venom, with Harmonic coming in third.

Race two was at Silverstone in the once again voter chosen Ferrari F40. That’s 680 horsepower in a package that has a very sharp edge. Lightning had the pole but lost the lead to Venom in the turn at Brooklands. Just a turn later at Luffield Lightning cut to the inside and gave Venom what later was adjudicated to be a slight bump and took it to a provisional win. Upon review, a five-second penalty was given to Lightning, which in turn gave Venom the win. Bilysoo, who at this point was a chat and caster favorite, nailed the third step on the podium. It was a crucial race and decision by the judges that left Venom and Lightning tied at 35 points apiece.

For race three, Road America was voted as the place to race. Again, a reverse grid would test the leaders ability to challenge a field of racers. It was a fantastic race. If you can watch only one race from these two series, this is the one to watch. Unlike the EMEA leaders, who floundered in their attempts to claw their way up from the bottom of the grid, the American drivers fought their way out. It was a no holds barred brawl of clean and precise racing. Lightning battled his way to seventh, then to fifth, then to third with Venom right on his heels, and Bilysoo not far behind. If not for a bold move on Dr BecKx that resulted in carnage on the final lap, Lightning could have had second. Venom capitalized on his nemesis’ mistake and took second behind Vain. In the end, we have a first-time point leader in Venom, and the beginning of what should be an exciting rivalry. Bilysoo held his own for a fourth place that placed him nicely in the standings you see below.

You can watch the whole NA series here on Mixer.

There are tons of storylines coming out of Round 1, and a look at the overall ForzaRC Series 1 leaderboard is a great place to start.

Look at who’s slotted in the overall #1 spot after the first round of competition. No, it’s not G2 Laige, as you might expect; instead TX3 Hard BR is in the top spot, with 1190 total points. Laige is a mere 10 points behind the leader (with TX3 Lightning and F4H Venom sandwiched in between and tied for 2nd with 1186 points), but we expect Hard BR, Laige, and all the rest to fight for every available point.

Round 2 Rivals qualifying happened this week and the Rivals leaderboard shows some very familiar names, with Laige, TX3 Wesley, TPR b0x, and Hard BR composing the top 5. Rounding out the top 10 from this week’s Rivals qualifier are Vitality ASIX, Venom, Lightning, BAM Seven, JSR Commando and his teammate JSR Rossi. These drivers and more will be fighting it out this weekend in our Saturday and Sunday races, looking to further their fortune in Round 2.

It all culminates in in our next Wednesday Showdown, which will be on April 25. As we did in Round 1, we’ll have two broadcasts on that day – one at noon Pacific featuring the European races, and one at 6 p.m. Pacific for our North American races. You can watch all the action at http://watch.forzarc.com – it’s sure to be a fantastic event.

ForzaRC Wednesday Showdown update
Round 2 of the Forza Racing Championship Series 1 culminated this past Wednesday with our Wednesday Showdown broadcast. There were two shows, with EMEA drivers battling it out in the morning and North American drivers getting to it in the evening. Here’s a look at how all the action unfolded.

EMEA Race 1
Scott Cole, Alie Tacq, and the amazing John Hindhaugh of IMSA fame brought us the coverage of the EMEA Showdown. The Race 1 grid was headed up by the amazing Laige, followed by the challenger b0x, with Mitch and Seven making up the second row. The stage was set for seven laps at Silverstone in the Dodge Viper ACR. As we have seen in the past, Laige loves the clean air and he immediately created some space between himself and the pack while the other racers sorted themselves out. JSR teammates Rossi and Mitch pushed each other, fighting for that third-place spot, with Rossi eventually taking the space. By Lap 4, b0x was pressuring Laige. If they weren’t in cars, Laige would have felt b0x’s breath on his neck. The heat was on but Laige defended, and both drivers drove superbly. The final results: Laige, b0x, and Rossi.

EMEA Race 2
Viewers voted on the Porsche 919 Hybrid for Race 2. The grid was also the same as it was for Silverstone: Laige, b0x, and Mitch, although this time they would meet at the Nürburgring GP track. Just after the first corner, Rossi moved into third, looking to challenge the leaders. All the way through the race, the top three diced and sliced the track, keeping their distances and they protecting their positions. That 919 and all its hybrid horsepower and tremendous downforce allowed the drivers to all be consistent, with clean racing as the standard. On Lap 7, Mitch passed his teammate Rossi and we saw RoadRunner work up a couple slots to fifth in what some say was his favorite racecar. At the finish, Laige took his second win, with b0x behind him, and JSR Mitch in third.

EMEA Race 3
Race 3 featured a reverse grid start at Watkins Glen in the #24 NASCAR. Would these EMEA leaders find their way back to the top or would they suffer in traffic? A huge flying wreck involving RoadRunner and Virus rocked the start of lap one and ended Roadrunner’s race. MisterJack, Chemical and Commando held the lead, with no big moves made. At the end of Lap 3, Seven gave Chemical a bump and gained two spots. Finally, by Lap 4 b0x had worked his way to sixth, with Laige only making it to ninth. Lap 6 saw Laige challenge b0x for that now seventh place but b0x held him off. This was certainly the EMEA race to watch. In the end MisterJack won, and, after Seven was given a five-second penalty, Commando was second and Rossi, third.

Here’s the replay of the EMEA Race action:
https://youtu.be/Quz76ZOhY7w

NA Race 1
Getting started, the grid for race one was set up with Venom at pole, followed by Harmonic and then up and comer Bilysoo. Champion Lightning would start from sixth. The drivers were behind the wheel of the Dodge Viper ACR and set in for seven laps at Silverstone. Lightning moved to fourth on Lap 1 and passed Bilysoo for third on the second lap. Lightning and Harmonic battled at the end of Lap 4 with Lightning putting a clean move and making it stick for second. Venom kept himself out of reach, and after seven laps he would win, with Lightning behind him and Harmonic winning the battle for third against Bilysoo.

NA Race 2
Race 2 took off from the Nürburgring GP track in the BMW M2. Venom would again lead the pack at pole, this time with Lightning right next to him on the grid. Harmonic and Bilysoo made up the second row. Right in to Turn 1, Lightning gave Venom a bump and squeezed into the lead. Doors were banging as Vain fought his way up to third in his hot pink M2. In the process Venom slipped back to sixth. The racers seemed to settle into their pace through the middle of the race. A Lap 4 bump from Venom on Vanquish at Dunlop was questionable but gave him room to slip by. Billysoo and Venom nearly took to fisticuffs for Lap 5 but Bilysoo held his own. Positions remained unchanged as they crossed the line. After adjudication, the podium remained unchanged, but Venom fell from fifth to eighth after receiving a five-second penalty for that mid-race melee.

NA Race 3
In a race you wouldn’t see in real life, Race 3 saw a reverse grid lined up in the #24 Hendrick Motorsports NASCAR at Road America. Lightning started from dead last. ShadowFox slipped into the lead right off, and Vain, in his hot pink NASCAR, rolled up five spots to third on Lap 1. Diablo spun near the Kink, pretty much ending his race. More carnage and contact between Vain and ShadowFox resulted in damage to Vain that dropped him back out of sight of victory. Through all that, Lightning had worked his way to second and set his sights on leader AMS Vanquish. Approaching the final turn in Lap 4, Vanquish made a mistake that Lightning capitalized on. Lightning disappeared into the distance. Two more long laps in Wisconsin remained. In the end it was Lightning, Venom, and Vanquish who would be celebrating with some (virtual) Johnsonville Brats.

Series 1 Round 3 Wednesday Showdown Recap

https://forzarc.com/news/forzarc-2018-series-1-round-3-wednesday-showdown-recap

Quote:
We are now officially past the halfway mark of the Forza Racing Championship 2018 Series 1! This past Wednesday saw Round 3 of the Wednesday Showdown races, featuring the best racers from Europe and North America battling for supremacy and for position on the ForzaRC 2018 global leaderboard. With some new cars and tracks on hand – and some ugly weather conditions to boot – the action was awesome from flag to flag.

EMEA Race 1

Kate Osbourne introduced Mugello as the first track for the EMEA racers who would be taking the Chevrolet Camaro SS through those Tuscan turns. BAM Seven, AMS Roadrunner and JSR Rossi were at the top of the grid stacking, while G2Laige languished at the bottom. It was a sea of yellow heading down the front straight as the drivers jockeyed for position coming into Turn 1. Roadrunner had a sim twitch issue that dropped him to the end of the pack. Laige moved up to ninth by lap 2. JSR teammates Rossi and Mitch sat safely in second and third and TPR b0x laid in wait for an opportunity in fourth. On lap four, Laige followed Virus through the chicanes to take seventh. Seven seemed comfortable in the clean air of the lead, not really feeling any pressure from the JSR boys behind him. Perhaps JSR was content to settle for the lower steps of the podium, but they were not pushing the pace, or each other. Roadrunner must have been pleased to work his way up to ninth given what happened. After adjudication, no penalties were dealt and it was established that Roadrunner simply made a mistake that cost him dearly. The race ended with Seven, then Rossi, then Mitch.

EMEA Race 2

Race 2 took place at VIR North, with Seven leading off the grid and the boys of JSR ready to fight for first. The drivers were set to drive their front-wheel drive 2004 Honda Civic Type R’s in the rain. The thunder and lightning threatened during the first lap as the field sorted themselves out. The rain began to saturate the track through lap three and there wasn’t much shuffling until Rossi went off in Turn 1 during lap four. That slip cost Rossi six places. The rain let up on lap six and Mitch put the move on Seven then furthermore made it stick. At the end of lap seven, again, the rain began to fall and rear ends were slipping all over. Mitch just stretched out his lead and looked like he actually enjoyed the rain. Before and after adjudication, it was Mitch for the win, with Seven in second and b0x in third.

EMEA Race 3

In a race that turned things on its end with a reverse grid, drivers set up for 12 laps at Indianapolis on the Grand Prix Circuit in Honda-powered IndyCars. The front-line drivers were ASIX, Deano, and Zermatt. Laige was stuck in the middle. By lap two Rossi and Roadrunner had a spat that resulted in Rossi passing (in his wood-liveried racecar, no less). Of the initial leaders Zermatt fell back to 10th while Deano tried to hold his own for the moment in third. Rossi continued his climb and got to third with Laige on his tail. Roadrunner fought back, making the battle for third perhaps the most compelling of the race. In the process, Laige got all the way to second showing his racecraft at its best, until he tapped the back of ASIX. Then, Laige and Roadrunner got into it making the lap side-by-side until Roadrunner edged him out and held on for the win. After adjudication Laige was set back to tenth place with a 10-second penalty that brought Daveyskills and b0x up to second and third.

enter image description here

North America Race 1

Harmonic, AMS Vanquish, and TX3 Bilysoo made up the top of the grid for race one while several relative newcomers made their first appearances. The first appearance of Mugello as a race destination for six laps in the Chevrolet Camaro SS gave the drivers something else new and different. Then the fight was on early for the lead as TX3 Lightning moved up from sixth to third. A nice move from Veloce ForceOne on Lightning in Turn 1 lap three turned up the heat for the top three spots. The final lap battle between Vanquish and Harmonic upped the intensity even more. Failing under pressure, Vanquish went off on the final corner and let Harmonic and Force One slip by. Upon adjudication both Harmonic and Vanquish were given five-second penalties that made ForceOne the winner and put Lightning in second.

North America Race 2

Race 2 took place at VIR North in the wet, and it was undertaken in the 2004 Honda Civic Type-R. Front-wheel drive? Rain? An interesting combination by any gauge. ForceOne, Lightning, and Harmonic respectively made up the top of the grid lining up for eight laps. The fleet of VTECs all kicked in and the swarm of bees fell in line looking for opportunity. By lap three the rain set in, and by Turn 1 on lap five it got slippery as Lightning tried to make a move, but ended up sliding off course taking ForceOne with him. The pair fell back to fourth and fifth with Vanquish taking the lead. ForceOne made a nice pass on Venom on lap seven for third. As the rain began to let off, Vanquish crossed the finish line, with Harmonic and ForceOne following him in the distance. A five-second penalty for Lightning put him in sixth.

North America Race 3

When the votes came in, it was the #2 Penske Chevy IndyCar that was chosen for the final race at the Indianapolis Grand Prix Circuit. This was of course a reverse grid rollout and saw our newcomers TormentoesPiano3, ChirpChirp, and Hillbilly TX lead the lineup. With 12-laps scheduled, it was plenty of time for anyone to finish on top. Turn 2 radically changed things right off with Bilysoo going off and Vanquish and company jumping from the rear to the lead. The battle was then on between Vanquish, Lightning, and ForceOne. Lap five Venom made a nice move in Turn 1 to move to fifth. A lap eleven punt of DrBecKx would likely result in a third penalty for McQueen. By lap 12 the leaders had spaced themselves out, and Vanquish took the win with Lightning behind him and ForceOne settling for third.

Series 1 Round 4 Wednesday Showdown Recap

https://forzarc.com/news/forzarc-2018-series-1-round-4-wednesday-showdown-recap
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9jlcvQ469o

06/01/2018
Quote:
We had another fantastic Wednesday Showdown this past week, featuring furious competition in both the European and North American regions. This was the last chance for ForzaRC drivers to qualify for the Series 1 playoffs in June. In addition, players already on the leaderboard were fighting for position and seeding in those playoffs. Needless to say, the stakes were high.

EMEA Race 1

The top three EMEA racers going in to Race 1 were Laige, followed by Mitch and Roadrunner. As seven laps at Watkins Glen got underway in the 2016 Honda Civic Type R, Laige took early advantage of his pole position while the pack sorted itself out. Seven and Virus had it out for each other going into lap two, absolutely locking horns. By lap four, Laige had put space between himself and the rest, while b0xunfortunately dropped out after hitting the wall. Racerz was putting the pressure on Roadrunner but did not have enough to pass. After adjudication, Racerz was handed a 10-second penalty for taking out b0x, sending him to 11th. The top three starting positions were unchanged at the checkered flag: Laige, Mitch, and Roadrunner.

EMEA Race 2

Race 2 was at Catalunya in the viewer-chosen 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06. Reflecting that Race 1 finish order, b0x was at the bottom while Laige, Mitch, and Roadrunner were at the top for this seven-lap race. By the end of the first lap, b0x had worked his way to ninth. Up front, Laige could see Mitch in his mirrors, but kept him at bay. Huge contact affected Rossi’s race near Turn 11 on lap three. Was Racerz to blame again? Coming out of lap five, b0x held a solid eighth and leader Laige had stretched out his lead to a good ten car lengths. Into lap seven, b0x pushed past Seven to seventh. Across the line, Laige again proved his ability in the clean air with another win, and Mitch and Roadrunner behind him. After adjudication, Seven was hit with a five-second penalty, which gave b0x one more spot to end sixth.

EMEA Race 3

The final EMEA showdown race was at Road America and it was a reverse grid. Virus, Racerz, and Deano were at the top, with Laige at the bottom, b0x was nicely placed at fourth. The race was in IndyCars for eight laps with heavy consequences on the line. Roadrunner spun out of the first turn, setting the course for his race early. Mitch was on the move straight away, and Laige moved up one position going in to lap two. Laige moved to ninth into lap three, and b0x was up to third, as many positions were swapped back and forth among the pack. The top three put some distance between themselves and the pack but remained fairly close to each other with teammates Virus and Racerz at the head. On lap six, Laige got up to fifth with a nice move. In the last corner Racerz tried to push past and it didn’t work out well. Big shakeups at the end of the race put b0x in eighth and Rossi ended up third behind Virus and Racerz. Laige ended fifth. After adjudication we saw Racerz fall to sixth, Rossi to fifth and the final podium being Virus, then ASIX, then Laige.

enter image description here

NA Race 1

Heading up the grid at Watkins Glen was ForceOne, followed by Bilysoo, and points contender Venom in third, with Lightning right behind him. These seven laps would have huge implications as the race got underway. There was lots of contact on lap one as the pack got sorted out without much change overall. Entering lap five, Venom was really pushing on ForceOne, trying to take the lead. That battle pushed the pair ahead of Bilysoo and even further from the pack. Lightning languished in seventh. Bilysoo gave it his all on that final lap but simply could not do it. The race finished with ForceOne winning, Venom in second, and BilySoo in third. One penalty on Hurricane did not affect the final results.

NA Race 2

The second race of the day for the NA racers was at Catalunya in the Corvette Z06 and it would be for seven laps. ForceOne built a nice gap by the end of lap one and Vanquish slipped into that coveted third spot ahead of Bilysoo. Lightning got himself behind Bilysoo and was challenging his teammate. Bilysoo may not have even noticed though, as he was dead on focused on catching Vanquish. Leader ForceOne was confident and off in the distance. Overall this race came together very cleanly with a lot of smooth driving from everyone, all the way to Sparky in the back. As the race wrapped up there were gaps between each of the top five without any further changes. Across the line it was ForceOne, Venom, and Vanquish taking the top spots. Again, no significant penalties affected the race after adjudication.

NA Race 3

It was Honda IndyCars at Road America with a reverse grid shaking up the racers for the final race of Round 4. This time around Sparky, Hurricane, and ShadowFox led the grid, while our top finishers of Races 1 and 2 were at the bottom. Vanquish made a big move to get right into a contending position, then Venom made a big move as well. Lightning moved his way to third, then to second, then first, proving they don’t call him “Lightning” for nothing. Vanquish slipped into second as Sparky began to fall back. After that huge shuffle, Lightning was way off in the distance while Revz, Venom, and Vanquish fought like their lives depended on it. For Venom, his points standing was on the line and he made a stunning pass of REVZ (later admitting what looked like a supremely confident pass was actually Venom missing his braking point altogether and saving the car). Vanquish defended valiantly. Provisional results were Lightning, Vanquish, and Venom and those would stand after adjudication.

Quote:
His face said it all. Moments after he was announced as the Forza Racing Championship Series 1 champion, Robin Betka (aka @bbbb0x, aka Noble b0x) became overwhelmed with emotion. As tears of joy flowed down his face, the hard work and emotional toil was apparent on his face. Betka had knocked on the door of greatness in previous ForzaRC seasons, but it was Series 1 2018 everything clicked for the German driver. A combination of intense focus, physical training, and a honing of his driving skills culminated in a fantastic performance at last weekend’s Series 1 Playoffs.

bbbb0x, AMS Roadrunner, and JSR Mitch took the podium at last weekend's ForzaRC Series 1 Playoffs.

For those who have been paying close attention, bbb0x’s performance isn’t entirely a surprise – he’s been in top form for most of Series 1, driving with a control and speed that has made him one of the few drivers to pressure perennial ForzaRC favorite, G2 Laige.

It all came together this weekend for Betka in the Series 1 Playoffs. This was the ForzaRC’s biggest and most ambitious broadcast event to date. More than 30 drivers from all over the planet converged in our Seattle studio to compete over two days of grueling racing, starting with the 15 races that comprised our quarter- and semi-final rounds. Check out the marathon eight-hour broadcast of Day 1 here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLGW7Va2aPo - Day 1

With just 12 drivers emerging from the semi-finals, Day 2 of the playoffs had fewer races, but ramped up intensity. Strong drives from competitors like AMS Roadrunner, JSR Mitch, Laige, and TX3 Lightning meant that bbb0x had his work cut out for him. Laige and Lightning – each starting further back in the field than they were used to -- had at least one meeting on the track, opening the door to other drivers to take over from the normally dominant pair. In the end, bbb0x took the top spot of the podium, with AMS Roadrunner following up his 2017 Le Mans championship with a 2nd place overall, followed by JSR Mitch, who has quietly emerged as the dominant driver on the JSR team during Series 1.

So, what’s ahead? Well, apart from the ForzaRC Pro-Am (more on that below), the ForzaRC drivers I spoke to are planning on taking a few weeks off before heading back into the thick of it when Series 2 begins in July. Naturally we’ll be covering all the action from start to finish – look for the first Series 2 Wednesday Showdown event on July 18!

SERIES 2 TOURNAMENT OPERATIONS UPDATE
07/05/2018

https://forzarc.com/news/series-2-tournament-operations-update

Quote:
Greetings, Drivers! With Series 1 now finished, we’re eagerly looking forward to all the excitement to come when Series 2 begins on July 9th. In preparation for start of the series we’re making some changes to the ForzaRC 2018 rules and tournament structure based on some of the learnings and feedback we received throughout Series 1.

Series 2 Playoffs & Leaderboard Structure Coming out of the Series 1 Playoffs we know there’s been some discussion around whether invitations to the Series 2 Playoffs would be based on the culmination of points between the 2 Series, effectively preventing drivers just joining us in Series 2 from being able to compete in the Playoffs. Fret no more! We’re excited to confirm that the invitations for the Series 2 Playoffs will be based solely on those points earned during the series. This means that all drivers will start fresh, putting new drivers on the same playing field as those who competed in Series 1.

In support of this we will also be adjusting how the leaderboards work, shifting from a single, “Global” leaderboard to “Series 1”, “Series 2”, and “Season” (the combined total of Series 1 and Series 2) leaderboards. As such invitations to the Series 2 Playoffs will be based upon the points earned in Series 2, regardless of those earned in Series 1. This change will ensure that those drivers joining the competition in Series 2 will still have the opportunity to earn an invitation to the Series 2 Playoffs. There will be no changes regarding invitations for the Forza Racing World Championship, these will still be based upon the total points a driver has earned throughout the season as reflected in the new “Season” leaderboard.

Qualifying Rivals Duration & Leaderboards In Series 1, the Qualifying Rivals events were open for 72 hours, running from Monday through Wednesday. In Series 2 we will reduce the window for these events to 48 hours, Monday & Tuesday, with competition beginning at midnight UTC (5pm Pacific on Sunday) and closing at 11:59pm UTC Tuesday. In addition to this we know some drivers have asked to have the leaderboard results for these events posted after the fact, in order to review their standing in preparation for that weekend’s races. As such we will now be posting the top 1,000 leaderboard positions as an article under the “News” section on ForzaRC.com, allowing the top 1000 drivers interested to review their standing in advance of the Saturday Ghost races and Sunday Heats.

Changing Gamertags During Series 1 we saw some drivers change their gamertags midway. Whilst we know sometimes it’s necessary to update your gamertag, it’s important you don’t do this during an active series. The gamertag you use to set your rivals position must be the gamertag you enter the races with on the weekend if you make it to the top of your region. Players who change their gamertags during Series 2 may find that they aren’t able to participate in some racing and they miss out on some of their points.

Prior to the Playoffs and World Finals, we’ll be reaching out to drivers directly to confirm details, so you’ll have a chance to update any team names if you need before attending the live events. That said, we are considering a move to only use the key name of a gamertag and omitting the team reference to ensure a great viewing experience, much the way other esports genres manage gamertags.

Driver Travel & Expenses for Playoffs We've also heard feedback and had discussions with Series 1 participants about the cost of travel and expenses for drivers who receive invitations to live events. This has been a challenging scenario to balance. We have decided to reduce the number of invitations to the top 36 drivers, delivering the same T&E support we gave in Series 1 to the top 24 drivers. The remaining 14 drivers (rounding out the top 50) will receive a $200 USD reward for having made it into the top 50.

Please note that we will backfill invitations until the top 36 spots are filled. That means if driver #14 could not attend, driver #37 will be invited to participate. All RSVP deadlines will apply. Drivers with a chance at landing in the top 50 will receive a more detailed communication later in the series.

Questions? Give us a shout at forza@gfinity.net and follow us on Twitter for all the latest updates.

See you on the track!
