Rank: Driver's Permit
#76 Posted : Tuesday, October 9, 2018 1:37:21 PM(UTC)
This error/bug has absolutely nothing to do with rivatuner or afterburner, i get it even without these apps installed at all or any other HW tweaks or monitoring apps. I have tried running 16:9 instead of 21:9 and it does indeed help, and so does capping the FPS (not lowering refreshrate but capping fps). I think the asset streaming portion of the open world design bugs out at high refreshrate paired with very high settings regardless of how powerful your HW is, especially with 21:9 with even more things needing streaming. And everything we do to alleviate it will indeed help, like fps cap, different aspect ratio, lower settings and so on.

I mean sure, i could get a faster SSD setup but 3,5GB/s read should be enough and i know my cpu can do more then 50GB/s of AES decryption which the real time streaming thing uses as far as i know, nothing in my system should cause this to happen, nothing. And the devs blaming third party items for something that is clearly an internal issue does not look good.

Same issue here.

Ryzen 2700x
GTX 1080
16GB RAM
RAID 0 SSD (on which the game is installed)

Tried lowering GFX settings which does reduce the occurrences but does not eradicate the issue. Tried increase priority in Task Manager to no avail.

Any ideas guys, extremely annoying problem to a great game :-(

Happening to be as well. My system is rather modest:

i7 4770
8gb ddr3
3gb hd7950
Game is installed to an older WD hard drive
1080p resolution, quality preset medium and dynamic optimization is on

On a fresh reboot and game launch the game runs fine but it seems like after an hour or so the game will lock up for a split second then carry on. As play time progresses, the problem becomes worse to the point I can't even drive 60mph on a road with no traffic without the game coming to a complete halt every few seconds

If its under 90% everything is fine.

Can anyone confirm that?

Then its a bug inside the game engine not reserving enough resources on GPU-side to perform proper Streaming.

Same problem here. When the gpu go beyond 90% the probleme apres. This happen in Edinburg and close to the castle on the beach.

Setting the fps limit to half of my monitor frequency (83 as I have a 165 Hz monitor) seems to fix the issue. Neither changing task manager priority nor any other fix methods mentioned here and over all the internet didn't help. Not a big deal for me since I got 90-100 fps before. The game is installed on a SATA SSD.

I have found a solution to this problem for myself that I thought I'd share. If it helps any of you guys out, that would be great.
In short, I have found that this issue seems related to the in-game V-Sync.

The solution, for me, is as follows;

-Disable Dynamic Optimisation and set a Custom graphics profile. I am running with everything maxed as far as it will go @ 4K. (Depending on your hardware, you will have to find suitable settings. Look at Hardware Unboxed's YouTube videos on optimisation and GPU benchmarks for Forza Horizon 4. Very, very helpful!)
-Disable V-Sync in game.
-Set FPS cap in game,
-If you are having issues with screen tearing and you need to use V-Sync, use the NVIDIA control panel V-Sync. I am using the Fast setting.

This has completely eliminated the streaming errors for me. Everything is as smooth as butter, and I don't need to change priorities in task manager at all.
I am playing at 4K with everything cranked to the max, and have no issues at all in the areas of the map where this error would surface.
Also, I have noticed that running multiple displays, (I have a 1440p monitor as secondary), confuses the hell out of this app. To get everything rock solid stable, I just run the one monitor, with next to no background applications.

Hope this helps someone, because I was absolutely infuriated trying to get this to run properly.

Hi all

I've had the same problem
first my system:
Intel i7 5820K
ASUS ROG Rampage V Extreme
64GB DDR3
ASUS STRIX 011G 1080Ti
Samsung EVO 850 500GB
Drivers are up to date (e.g. Nvidia 416.34)

in-game benchmark says everything is ok. on max. settings 4k 60Hz/Fps
max drop in benchmark to 55Fps

so to get rid of the Low Streaming Error I've had to disable
VSync in-game AND in the Nvidia controlpanel since then the bug disappeared.

It have one drawback now I get screen-tearing from hell now and then
but its better than the full-freez and 300km/h to 0 in 0sec

I've been having this issue since purchase, and still haven't been able to find a fix. I'm beyond frustrated because I literally cannot go over 200 MPH in any car or else the "low streaming bandwidth" error pops up. The screen tearing is very bad and it doesn't look like things in the distance are rendering fast enough. I have tried all the suggested fixes in this thread and none of them have been successful in removing the error. Below is my current system for anyone interested. If there are any other potential fixes I'd love to hear about them. This is my first time playing a Forza game and I'm absolutely loving it when I'm racing in a D, C & B class cars that won't sniff 200 MPH. =\

Tried disabling V-Sync in game and through Geforce Experience
Tried with V-Sync ON in game and through Geforce Experience
Tried lowering the refresh rate of my ASUS monitor
Capped FPS at 60 instead of unlimited
Ran multiple benchmarks in game, defaulted to max settings. Tried optimal settings, lowest settings, ultra, and all inbetween with no success
Disabled 2nd monitor from my dual monitor setup
Lit candles and spread garlic & salt around my desk and chanted in an unknown language to attempt to remove the curse

I also get this. The problem is, my CPU is only being used at like 35%, GPU is doing fine. Being utilized at 99%, RAM is being utilized at 50% usage. I have restarted my game and computer many times. It will start happening after a couple hours of playing. I also have the game on my 500GB 860 EVO SSD. I run at 1440p, max except about Msaa is turned off, that's the only major graphics setting that is off. I get about 60-90 FPS.

The release notes are looking good for this: "Fix for 'low streaming bandwidth' message on high spec PCs when GPU-limited."

Who can confirm this?

I'm still waiting for the patch to become available. It's not showing up in the Microsoft Store App (still v1.197.899.2 / Changed: 12.10.2018).

EDIT: After 1 hour the 2,92 GB Patch is now downloading...

Hi I've been having this problem where when driving in excess of around 200k/h chunks will not show and the road will become invisible. Low streaming bandwidth banners often pop up and I have tried setting fh4 to high priority in task manager, capped it to 60fps, vsync enabled, how ever the issue still occurs. I bought the game a few days ago and have been really enjoying it aside from this game breaking bug. I struggle to even complete many races and missions because of this. These are my specs:

i5-7500( quad core)

gtx 1050ti( 4gb)

16gb ram

250gb sdd

1tb hdd( which the game is installed on)

All temperatures have been normal while running the game, and all driver are up to date. This bug really needs to be fixed.

this happened to my in a comp race and my car stopped when it prompted me and my teammate rear ending my stopped car

samsung 960 evo 250gb
5760x1080 75hz no g-sync triple asus vg245h

my game was installed on the hdd so i think thats my problem but i just wanted to document it as this is the first time this has happened to me also ive been running vsync off because my monitors are 75hz and windows shows that but the game will only the me do 60hz/fps with vsync on or off maybe the increase in fps had to grab the assets/textures because just before the message happened part of the grass textures disappeared

i dont think this is fixable issue, its probably just your pc running out of bandwidth for all the textures for a open world game.
