Here's a thread to track incoming seasonal changes, events, exclusives, and new features.

THREAD UPDATE: Series 15 adds new business Upgrade Heroes, new Showcase Remix, Auction House search improvements, and 4 cars.
See the updated chronology in post #2.
RetroKrystal has added a Socials & Media thread summarizing Playground Games streams.
For content update release notes, see the Support page.

FIRST TIME PLAYERS

For players starting the game for the first time, the first 4 to 5 hours is a prologue before you're synchronized with the current world season:

Then you enter the "Horizon Life Prologue" where you get to spend time in a full Horizon year doing what you want, progressing based on what kinds of things you like to do. Sure there's some hand-holding here, but it opens up very quickly.

At about 1 hour, once you finish your first prologue Autumn event, the Drivatars in your freeroam world are replaced with real players and you have online modes available. Or you can play Solo if that's your thing. The players you see in the world with you are at the same point in their Horizon Life as you, same season. But you can do whatever you want.

At around 4-5 hours, depending on how you play, you qualify for the Horizon Roster, your second summer, and earn your first Wristband. You enter a fully synchronized world where each season lasts a week. How fast you get there depends on how much "influence" you earn (think of it like XP). You get Influence for racing, stunting, creating and sharing content, streaming - whatever. You're doing all that from hour 1 onward.

Seasons will transition for everyone each week on Thursdays at 7:30am Pacific / 10:30am Eastern / 3:30pm British time. After a countdown and cutscene transition, the Horizon map will be updated with the new seasonal weather effects, new seasonal events (including seasonal Barn Finds), new weekly #Forzathon challenges and rewards, and new #Forzathon Shop cars/clothes/horns etc.

Per Ralph Fulton in today's livestream from Goodwood, the developers will use the timing on each four seasons as an in game "year" at which point additional content will come into the game. On October 25 we'll see:

NEW FEATURE: ROUTE CREATOR
"For the first time in a Forza game create and share your own race routes. Plot a course anywhere around beautiful, historic Britain and race against other players and Drivatars."

NEW STORY: BRITISH RACING GREEN
"Get behind the wheel of some of Britain's greatest cars, to produce 10 episodes of the Horizon Festival's motoring TV Series. From Aston Martin & McLaren to the Talbot Sunbeam & Mini, British Racing Green will take you through a century of British automotive excellence."

NEW CLOTHING/HORNS: HALLOWEEN PARTY
"New Outfits, Clothing and props give you the perfect look for the Horizon Halloween Party! Announce your arrival at the party with 5 New Halloween themed car horns!"

NEW EVENTS/CONTENT SCHEDULE FOR THE NEXT FOUR HORIZON SEASONS
- 20 new seasonal events
- 4 new Trial events
- 4 new PR Stunt challenges
- New #Forzathon challenges
- 3 new #Forzathon Exclusive cars
- new #Forzathon shop items
- 8 new cars for Car Pass owners (4 weeks x 2 per week)

My Inner-Child was wondering and hoping that it would be winter from the 20th December through to the 27th I am bit blah but suppose its not a huge, huge deal, I would Preferred it tho lol.

On a side note to that, I am pleased to see the Ferrari 812 Superfast come very early on in FH4's life and pleased it is too.

Thanks for posting, very cool info! I watched a bit of the Goodwood stream on YT last nite, good stuff.

Regarding Trial Events, I don't recall reading anything about those. There was a brief mention of them in the Goodwood interview with Ralph, but I can't find it. Can anybody explain a bit more about what Trials are? Thnx

I'm going to play the game a lot, but I don't want to be concerned if I take a break from playing that I'm going to miss out on something that's coming along. I have the ultimate edition so I'll be playing a lot on Friday also I will have access to everything. Watching YouTubers play early it seems like the seasons come and go pretty fast. I do like that you can modify the seasons when setting up a race because I'm looking forward to racing in the winter and doing dirt races when it's raining. I'm not to excited about getting clothes, emotes, horns, and dances in wheelspins though. I'd much prefer cash and cars. Any feedback would be great.

It would be nice if the weekly race updates stayed over into the next time it was that season.

Like say they add 3 new races in winter. At the moment those races will disappear & not return the next time winter hits. It would be nice if they were permanent. So say, they added 3 new one that winter, you'd then have 6 new winter races to do etc.

I don't particularly like the idea of missing out on things, mainly races & events if i don't/can't play a certain week. It'd just be nice to know i can go back & still have all those events to complete.

Just my opinion anyways

Guess they changed their minds on the Ferrari 812 superfast hopefully it will come back eventually, but a Forza Edition car is a more than ample substitute.

Max, how many points do you get for forzathon live events?

Only 130 forzathon points for one daily and one weekly challenge!?! You need 450 for both cars. That doesn't seem right. Even after a week, you still only have 310 forzathon points if you don't go online.
I buy, upgrade and tune cars to the max. That's what I live for in Forza. I'm always in the need for more cars. Check out my custom routes in Horizon 4! https://forums.forzamoto...routes.aspx#post_1133141
