Rank: Driver's Permit
#26 Posted : Thursday, September 13, 2018 10:20:06 AM(UTC)
Me too...

Alienware Aurora R7, with i7 8700k, GTX 1080Ti, 16GB of RAM, Windows 10 Home.

Tried everything. Update the GPU drivers, the BIOS driver of the Alienware, all the suggested stuff with the sound option... but nothing. None of them have worked.

I'm very disappointed, hope there will be a fix at least for the final game. I was ready to buy the Ultimate Edition, but at this point spend blindly 100€ I don't like it very much :(

problem here too on a custom built PC

windows 10 - 1803
Nvidia Titan V (driver 399.24)
intel i9-7980xe
EVGA Dark x299 mobo
Dell OLED 30" 4k monitor

I can get into the game, menus work fine. But once i start the real game or benchmark it crashes.

playing around with sound didn't help, no diff using DP or HDMI, 1080p/4k, high/low/etc.. nothing gets it to work

Not the same problem, create a new topic or find a similar one. This one directly relates to error: FH001, that you would get before the game will even launch. Same with the sound guy from above, he was able to actually launch the game, so giving that sound solution was useless for this particular problem, though still appreciated for the possible fix.

NitroGlitter. I sent over the "dxdiag" to you yesterday. Do you know if or when this will be resolved with the demo for those of us experiencing issues?

If anyone has Intel integrated graphics or a second display adapter, try this potential solution and see if your game launches.

It worked for me!!! Thank you so much.

Now time to try the game :D

Guys, I am still under moderation but after hours of playing the demo, I can say that this workaround may help for you.

Keep in mind this is ONLY for those who have INTEGRATED GRAPHICS:
Go to device manager and your display adapter and disable your integrated graphics (mine was INTEL UHD GRAPHICS 630).
After that, the game launched and ran like a dream.

My PC is an Alienware Aurora R7
i7-8700k
1070 8GB
16GB RAM

I hope this workaround can help you guys, as this game is very fun.
Thanks for reading.

Going to Device Manager and Disabling my Onboard graphics card (Intel UDH Graphics 630) Worked.
I can now play the game!
Good workaround, but this is NOT a fix. I should not have to disable to hardware in order to play the game lol.
Hopefully with this information, we can get a real fix before the game goes live.

24 hours later and still unable to play the game even tho every other game I have works fine!

This is what puts people off pc gaming.

I really want to buy the ultra edition of fh4 but pointless if even the demo won't run.

I've followed all the advice on here and sent the output of my dxdiag in but still no joy.

Doesn't give me much confidence for the final game.....

Same problem as Mr Blue here, with the same stack dump from Event Viewer.

I've tried all of the disable fixes outlined here (audio, video, etc), as well as all of the "old school" FH3 fixes (market, etc), since it fails to launch as well. Apex and FM7 both launch fine though.

Ya tried that and no luck but I did manage to get a Beta Driver for my GPU and that fixed the problem for me Will have to wit for Intel to do a repack of the Video Drivers from AMD

I'm having trouble launching the game on W10 as well. I get past the first loading screen with the Senna and the offroader in the distance, then the screen goes black for about 3 seconds before eventually closing the window. I've tried disabling my sound devices and updating Geforce drivers to the most recent ones, to no avail.

I feel confident that if you are getting the FH001 error that will not allow you to launch the game at all (Splash screen then crash) with the message "missing dependent libraries" then the Intel Graphics fix should work. I and many others can confirm.

Windows Key>Start typing "device manager">click on device manager>click the "display adapters" drop down>right click on intel hd graphics and disable

This immediately allowed me to launch the game and I'd like to thank the OP, of the fix, who took the time to keep coming back to make sure people saw the fix. Well done.

Are you serious? Yea it is a fix because your PC was set wrong. It had nothing to do with the game in your particular case. The game cannot disable the onboard graphics for you. Yes, you need to set the right graphics card as the primary for this game or any other game to work properly and to reach it's fullest potential. That's how it is.

Just tried your workaround. Game now launches. Thanks! I agree that hardware should not have to be disabled to play the game.
