I think I'm most disheartened about not being able to buy the 1932 Ford De Lux. That would have been a fun car to make into a street rod. Damn.

For those who didn't see this in the Week in Review:

Quote:
One final note: We’ve heard your questions regarding the locked cars in the “Car Collection” screen. These are “exclusive cars”. They are not unlocked by progressing your Car Collector Tier. In the past, we’ve called these cars “unicorns” or “engagement” cars. Exclusive cars do not appear in Forza Motorsport 7 Prize Crates. We want to players to experience this amazing lineup of exclusive cars by playing Forza and participating in the community. A great example is our November Bounty Hunter, where earned cars like the 2016 W Motors Lykan HyperSport, the 2004 Ferrari Scaglietti, and the 2010 Audi TT RS Coupe. And, as you’ll see here in today’s Week in Review, we’ve got another great exclusive car up for grabs with this month’s upcoming Bounty Hunter event.

So that's why the Porsche was made available via leveling up.

Quote:
We’re extremely pleased to announce that Xbox’s own Phil Spencer (Gamertag: P3) will be the player to beat in our December Bounty Hunter event, which begins on Monday, December 11.
Not only are we over the moon to have Phil as our Bounty target this month, we’ve got a fantastic car for folks to experience this time around in the 2017 Porsche #92 Porsche GT Team 911 RSR on Hockenheim National Circuit. This exclusive car was added to the game with this week’s update and features 500+ horsepower worth of rear-wheel-drive racing madness. Players will be using this track weapon on one of Germany’s most beloved circuits: Hockenheim National.

Oh perhaps not. But we've already got the Porsche.

Quote:
On Tuesday of next week we’ll be posting a poll on the Forza Motorsport Twitter account where followers can choose which car they’d like to see as the December Bounty Hunter Reward car. We’ll post the results of the poll in next Friday’s edition of the Week in Review. In addition to the exclusive Reward car, EVERYONE who sets a time in this event will be sent the 2017 Porsche #92 Porsche GT Team 911 RSR once the event closes on January 3, 2018. Look for Phil to set his initial time after the event opens on Monday and good luck to everyone who participates.

Thats cool so I don´t have to spend anymore cash on price crates for cars.

BUT!
The game should say so.
If you are in collection area it still says for locked cars "price crates" and this should
not be the case and it leads to false statements :)

And it seems the 3 special cars no longer get announced in the WIR which is ok
since it gives us a lil surprise.

And yap I also got the Porsche early by lvl up :D

2008 BMW Z4

This model is listed in the game search filters but is not available to rent. Edit: It is not the season reward for Intro to Leagues; that's the 2000 Z8.
Forums: discussion thread.

This is bizzare, the car is definitely in the game....

https://gallery.services...-4065-a61b-011b6c8fa88a

But it doesn't show up anywhere besides that filter text. You can't rent it in free play and its not on the Collector Screen. I wonder if this is intentional or a mistake.

BTW, the model's actual name is the 2008 BMW Z4 M Coupe, its not a plain jane Z4 (pretty sure there is no such thing as a non M hardtop of those, but there were M roadsters).

So once a car has been and gone from the speciality dealer, will it come back? I've been going for the 'race with all Porsches' achievement and just noticed today that 2 cars are still locked - the Macan and Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0. It doesn't seem likely these will turn up in the auction house. If you can only buy one and there's no possibility of getting a duplicate from crates, why would anyone sell it?

There have already been instances where this has happened. In this week's Specialty Dealer, the 2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster has been offered by the Specialty Dealer before and the 2009 Ford Focus RS was previously available for all Halloween Bash participants.

The 2015 Porsche Macan Turbo and the 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS are "exclusive" vehicles which are still to be unlocked. They can be offered to players in several ways - a future Specialty Dealer, Forzathons, Rivals and other challenges and events.

As talby71 has posted, you can rent both vehicles and they do count towards the achievement.

The Titan, S14 and Pagani Zonda have all shown up in the dealer twice. Neither of those Porsches is available currently; however, they can be rented in Free Play if you are only looking for the achievement.

These cars were added with the December 5th content update, unannounced.

2017 Porsche #92 Porsche GT Team 911 RSR

This is an Exclusive model; locked in the Car Collector menu, not available in Buy Cars, but available to rent in Free Play and multiplayer races. Some users reported being offered this car as a Milestone Reward, but other players may have to collect more cars before it is offered. This racing version of the 991 has a mid-engine placement. The new 911 RSR debuted in the LM GTE Pro class at the 2017 24 Hours of Le Mans; the #92 retired after a crash with Michael Christensen driving.

Thanks Max for the link, I enjoyed the article, approx. 60 minutes to go in a 24 hour race and a tire puncture keeps the 911 RSR off the podium, that's racing in a nutshell.

Hi guys,

I'm just wondering if it'd be possible to get a 1964 Ford Fairlane Thunder Bolt in the game? This car was a classic in its day with the 427 side oiler engine which was unofficially producing over 500hp from the factory. The body made in fiberglass made it super light weight and perfect for racing!!! I'd love to see one in the Forza games! Another car that would be amazing to see in the Mercury lineup is the 1970 Mercury Marauder X100. This car is absolutely beautifully in every way and had the 429 4V engine which is perfect for racing as well!

Thanks guys

Obviously there are more important matters but the List of Gifts/awards/released Exclusive cars and opportunities to obtain them needs updating/correcting.

Just one example the 2017 Ford GT Forza Edition is unlocked when a player completes all the Championships and Driver's Cup in Elite mode. Once the forthcoming Forzathon becomes active and the Specialty Dealer is updated in 2 days time, the number of locked "exclusive" cars should be less than 60.
