E-Sports F1 interests me personally about as much as real F1 does, if not less. By that I mean I've found painting my garden fence more exciting than watching F1 in recent years.
Just because you don't care for Formula 1 doesn't mean that others don't, and I can't see how it could be argued that people playing with F1 cars on F1 tracks in a video game could be anything other than a positive for F1, and that the crossover in the fans wouldn't be a positive for the game either.
I mean, I don't really care for F1 either, and have
very little interest in watching E-Sports, but it would great to see some series want to have more involvement with the gaming side in an effort to increase interest in their own series and bring the fanbases together. Imagine how good a Blancpain GT expansion would be for Forza, bringing up-to-date and (and balanced) GT3 cars, Hungaroring or Zolder from the schedule, maybe driver change functionality for endurance races and so on.
There are several international series and some national "top tier" series that could provide great content to the series if a partnership were to be struck and executed properly.
