With this update, all Forza Edition cars will offer a primary percentage CR reward and a secondary conditional percentage CR reward. For example, the 2000 Nissan Silvia Spec-R Forza Edition previously offered a primary CR reward of +25% and a secondary flat +5,000 XP award after 3 good drifts in a race. With this update, the Silvia now offers a primary reward of +25% CR and a secondary reward of +25% CR after 3 good drifts in a race. As a further example, the 2014 BMW M4 Coupe Forza Edition (a VIP FE car) previously offered a primary +40% CR reward and a secondary flat +10,000 XP reward at the Nürburgring. With the update, the BMW now offers a primary +50% CR reward and a secondary +50% CR reward at the Nürburgring.

Starting on December 1, that four-car gift and the credit bonus will end for new VIPs. New Forza Motorsport 7 VIP members will still be able to enjoy the benefits of VIP membership in Forza 7, including that 2X base rewards bonus feature, five Forza Edition cars included with VIP membership, and more.

Quote:
Since Forza Motorsport 7 launched into early access last week, everyone here at Turn 10 has been keeping a close eye on our players’ feedback. The most important thing to us is to maintain open communication with the Forza Community. We’ve heard what you have had to say and, starting today, you can expect some significant changes.

VIP and Ultimate
Over the weekend we heard loud and clear from Ultimate Edition owners expressing frustration over the VIP membership offer in Forza Motorsport 7. We immediately updated the VIP description in the Windows Store to alleviate any future confusion. As head of the studio, I apologize for any confusion or frustration our players may have experienced.

Going forward, we will continue to ensure that Forza Motorsport 7 VIPs receive the most value for their VIP membership, including new experiences and great content. Starting today we’re sending all Forza Motorsport 7 VIPs three additional Forza Edition cars:

2016 Jaguar F-TYPE Project 7 Forza Edition
2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Forza Edition
2010 Maserati Gran Turismo S Forza Edition

Forza 7 VIPs will be able to download all these cars from the in-game message center and add them to their car collection. Players will not only enjoy an immediate bump to their Car Collection score after adding these Tier 5 Legendary cars to their garages, they’ll also be able to take advantage of the inherent perks that each of these Forza Edition cars offer. In addition to the cars, we’re also sending all Forza 7 VIPs 1 million credits.

Secondly, and even more significantly, we will be changing VIP rewards in Forza Motorsport 7. This new system will work like it did in Forza Motorsport 6, offering a 2X base credit bonus after every race. We’ve already started work on this feature and we will release it as soon as possible. Look for more information on this update as we near the release date.

The Windows Store states that VIP includes: "Exclusive cars, Mods, Driver Gear, and more await with Forza Motorsport 7 VIP membership! Forza Motorsport 7 VIP members receive exclusive VIP cars. VIPs will receive additional benefits including 100% CR bonus Mods, VIP Driver Gear, and more." The car list was announced on August 21st in Forza Garage Week 6.

This DLC is included with Deluxe and Ultimate Edition pre-orders, and is available as a $19.99 add-on for Standard Edition owners. There is no discount for previous game VIPs.

"All five of the cars included in the VIP Car Pack are Forza Edition cars"
  • 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Super Sport Forza Edition
  • 2013 Ram Runner Forza Edition
  • 2012 Nissan GTR Forza Edition
  • 1992 Ford Escort RS Forza Edition
  • 2014 BMW M4 Forza Edition

Shared DLC note
In previous games, accounts on a shared Xbox Live Gold member console were able to use the VIP assets (cars) without purchasing the DLC. However, VIP benefits were limited to the DLC owner.

That's probably why you get an error when you pre-order the Digital Ultimate Edition and it tries to install the placeholder for the VIP pack...

FH3 VIP worked on all accounts, even with game sharing Max.

Although, there are no guarantees it will for FM7, but just thought I would throw it out there.
Rules of troubleshooting:
1) Have you tried turning it off and on again?
2) Is your Internet working?
3) https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status < Check here for service issues.
4) If all else fails open a service ticket and/or forum post.

Call me crazy...but don't they usually show the VIP cars when they talk about the different Editions? They have not done that this time around and that kind of lets me decide if I want VIP or not. :P

I thought the VIP cars were monthly gifts. You might be thinking of the day one car pack and in that case they haven't revealed it yet.

No, he is not. While VIPs DO get monthly cars, which are just normal cars with special liveries, the VIP membership also comes with 5 actual cars that you can only get from being a VIP. It's been like this the last few Forza games, Horizon and Motorsport. For example, in FM6 it was the only way to get the 2013 Ferrari 458 Speciale, 2012 Aston Martin V12 Zagato, 2013 Lamborghini Veneno, 2016 Ford Shelby GT350R, and the 1997 McLaren F1. You could not buy these cars without it, just like a car pack.

Oh ok. I guess I'll look forward to a few more cars from that as well. I have the FM6 VIP and totally forgot it came with cars too.

How many 100% CR bonus Mods? or is it a permanent bonus?

If it works the same as FM6 then it is a permanent bonus, but only doubles the base reward and does not include Difficulty and assets bonus.

I know it's probably not the right thread but has it been posted anywhere what the actual VIP bonuses will be? Will know the car pack but what does VIP do this time around?

I am extremely disappointed with the cars included, I admire the new driver suits, and everything else is standard for VIP as always. The cars however, beyond disappointed. I thought there would at least be one new car added to the game held for VIP, but absolutely nothing new. So far I would believe that each of these 5 cars will be available in the game as standard editions, even worse if the cars of choice aren't to your liking in the VIP pass. It is what it is though everyone, I'm just stating my personal opinion. Feel free to discuss below.

I'm a little torn on this issue with the cars.

On the upside, this means there aren't any cars locked behind the VIP package. I'm not really one that is interested in "feeling cool" by having exclusive cars, and I've always hated when playing online with friends and we go "oh let's drive the 458 Speciale" and someone in the party goes "oh I can't join in, I don't have it." I also couldn't run a Z/28 vs GT350 series in a private league as too many people didn't have the VIP so it would have been a very very Camaro heavy field, which defeats the purpose of it.

On the downside, it means the VIP thing isn't really worth much. Most of us don't care much about the whole driver suits thing, and without knowing how the economy is going to be this time around we won't really know if the double credits and such are worth it.

The fact that they have done away with locking cars that we can use for series behind a $20 DLC is good and I sort of want to show my support for that buying it... But I can't really justify the $20 bucks for a Camaro and a few drivers suits, of which I can only use one at a time anyway.

I don't see the point in the VIP pass any longer. There was a time in past entries into the franchise where it was worth it but now it seems like it's just milking money from players and not offering much in return.

I feel the same in many ways. The extra CR and XP can be nice but it's not essential for me especially considering I spend thousands of hours on the game anyway and it's been relatively easy to earn money in Forza titles since the economy patch in FM5.

It's a bit hit and miss whether I buy the VIP car pack. Forza 6 had a few cars I really liked in there like the McLaren F1, Veneno and 458S and FH3 had the Regera and a few others too. This year round, I'm not sure if there's any honestly.

At least before it was subject to opinion. It didn't matter if you liked them or not, the cars were exclusive content to the VIP DLC. I hesitate to say We instead of I, but we've pre-purchased FM7 Ultimate/VIP based on faith that T10 will follow their history of what......6? installments where VIP had exclusive cars. Now we find out today that the cars aren't exclusive but are just "Forza" editions. Not disclosing until now the VIP cars would use a different system for the first time in 8 years is poor taste.

It really doesn't bother me that the VIP cars aren't fully exclusive in terms of model. They will be exclusive FE though. VIP has always been a nice little bonus and these cars will make things easier at the start of the game not knowing what the rewards are.

Do you lot not read it states 5 exclusive HE cars

So to me this means that those 5 HE cars are for VIP only, now it would have been nice to let us know what the bonus is for using them like 2x credits or mabey 2.5x credits, could be a pack leader perk start at the front, at the moment it is a stab in the dark what the perk is.

is it confirmed that the vip pass will give you the FE cars listed above (camaro gtr RAM)?

If so it would be nice that it's a vip only perk and that you won't be able to earn them through forzathons and such.

They have a Non FE counterparts which means the car itself is not exclusive. All previous cars from VIP memberships dating back to Forza Motorsport 3 have been exclusive and the cost of VIP was justified since it was like a mini car pack as well as the progression bonuses. MAYBE if the bonuses applied to these cars are VIP exclusive as well I can accept it a bit more since that does fit the theme of the VIP but it still wouldn't change the fact they waited until the last minute to inform us of a change to how the VIP pack has been treated for past installments. I also can't see them giving the cars exclusive bonuses as that would increase a lot of the pay2win complaints the VIP pack has always been subjected to.

Can't agree with you here. Giving the cars an exclusive credit or XP bonus would not qualify as pay to win, it's a pay for a small bonus. If the FE cars had extra horsepower or handling that would be another story. I would expect the "FE" editions of these particular cars to be VIP exclusive.
