The utterly awesome British handbuilt Bowler EXR S off road racer sponsored by Canadian Multi-international conglomerate - Bombardier (who build everything from skidoos to jet liners and everything in between) for the great Baja Peninsula Race over 1000 miles of the roughest desert terrain down the south west coastal peninsula of the USA - known as Baja. Infamous for high speeds and huge crashes the Baja Race is the ultimate test for vehicle and driver (or rider - iconic actor Steve McQueen famously used to enter in the late 1960's on Husquavarna and Penton enduro bikes).

The poster/dream car of every petrolhead that ever set eyes on it's space ship looks - the Countach is the sort of car that looked fast in the parking lot! - but unfortunately whilst it's Gandini (Bertone Studio) styled looks set the motoring press alight - its handling, driving experience and it's early build quality did not quite match up against some of its competitors from Ferrari and Maserati. None of the latter really mattered though, the car sold extremely well (for a handbuilt supercar!) and the awesome power and torque generated by its equisite V12 engine has kept it in the top five supercars of all time according to the majority of the motoring press. One area that Lamborghini have never really excelled is racing - perhaps lacking the pedigree of Ferrari and also the competition budgets - very few Countachs were used in race livery - this is my exception, a fantasy race-car in the flashy colours of Italian tuners and accessory manufacturers - MOMO.
