Judging from the list of achievements announced today it seems that FH3 is turning out to be 80% all terrain and 20% street, with only one major city destination, and no road trips, which I totally enjoyed in FH2. For some strange reason someone assumed that having FH3 look like a laid out Storm Island with streets and one city in it would be a great idea! But while this may suit southern outbackers who relish trucks and off-road terrain, a great majority of folks really don’t like off-road racing. The approach used in FH2 where a total the off-road focus was limited to the Storm Island expansion pack was correct, but then too, only a few folks went for the pack, including myself. So why would someone think that a glorified off-road game is the correct successor FH2 is beyond me! To this end, and while I love Australia for all its natural beauty, I think I’ll pass on the day one acquisition of FH3, which I don’t believe will do as well as FH2 in sales.
