I'm seeing Rivals and Leagues, so that's probably similar to earlier events, but I'm guessing Elite is only Leagues? And then like before, you don't have to race a specific time, just a lot?
And the prices for Open, are they Rivals, Leagues or both?
To participate in week 2, do you need to participate in week 1?
Week 4 participants get FM3. Does this mean you have to participate in all previous weeks and reach a certain level?
Week 4 viewers also get a price? I'm guessing this means you will have to qualify for this somehow? (Although given the timezones it might actually be an achievement just to watch ;-P )
For now I think I'll just go for the Rivals. I've never really enjoyed racing people I don't know in an environment where pushing others (intentional or not) gives you an advantage in stead of a penalty.
No where does it say leagues for elite. ManteoMax post is pretty clear.
Step 1. Qualify for Elite via rivals
Step 2. Once qualified, you'll battle it out 1v1 style until the top 4 emerge. It'll be a massive bracket. Imagine NCAA basketball tournament with 1 more round.
It's basically a more refined version of the MLG tournament in terms of seeding.
There's no point in trying to qualify for top 128 in elite if you don't plan on racing in the 1v1 races. All it'll do is create frustration from those wanting to compete because they'll have to do various tasks just to confirm that you forfeited.
Raceboy should be happy that everyone is on an even playing field. He suggested it after all. :)
