Figured I should post this in here incase I was in the wrong thread earlier. Got a few questions which largely apply to the Open Series, as that uses a League structure.

I have a few questions though, pardon my ignorance on these as I haven't played the game in a while:

  1. Have there been any improvements made to the Spectate feature, so that more information is displayed on-screen when watching a race?
  2. Are the recent inclusion of tyre barriers the only change made as regards people abusing track limits in a race?
  3. Have there been any tools or features added to help make the lobbies cleaner should a griefer start causing trouble for other racers?
  4. Have there been any changes made to the ghosting system in order to prevent large pile-ups from occurring? ("Faster ghosting", "ghosting lapped traffic" etc.)
  5. How long is the average race (in minutes) going to be in the Leagues tied to this series?
  6. What are the car damage settings in each League Division?
  7. Will League races have rolling or standing starts?
  8. Have there been any improvements made to the in-game voice chat feature, so that more people can hear each other?
  9. Have there been any changes made to how the Leaderboard point scores for Leagues are calculated?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't really get it.
I'm seeing Rivals and Leagues, so that's probably similar to earlier events, but I'm guessing Elite is only Leagues? And then like before, you don't have to race a specific time, just a lot?
And the prices for Open, are they Rivals, Leagues or both?
To participate in week 2, do you need to participate in week 1?
Week 4 participants get FM3. Does this mean you have to participate in all previous weeks and reach a certain level?
Week 4 viewers also get a price? I'm guessing this means you will have to qualify for this somehow? (Although given the timezones it might actually be an achievement just to watch ;-P )

For now I think I'll just go for the Rivals. I've never really enjoyed racing people I don't know in an environment where pushing others (intentional or not) gives you an advantage in stead of a penalty.

You dont have to compete each week, but only the top 4 players from each week will get fh3. Week 4 will only be for the top 4 players from the previous weeks totaling 12 players.

I would like to know how griefers are handled, like usual (via Snowowl)?
Also if there are griefers, will they be disqualified? If so, for just the race affected, or the rest of the series?

Great selection of prizes, well done to everyone involved.

One doubt:
FM6 Car Pass DLC: week 1 Leagues Top 50% and Elite Series Grand Finals viewers
FM6 Porsche DLC: week 2 Leagues Top 50% and Elite Series Grand Finals viewers
FM6 NASCAR DLC: week 3 Leagues Top 50% and Elite Series Grand Finals viewers
FM6 VIP and Car Packs DLC: Grand Finals viewers

Does this mean everyone that views the final (streaming I guess) will get all the DLCs? This seems to good to be true! :p

[Mod Edit - the prize list has since removed the Viewers mention - MM]

No where does it say leagues for elite. ManteoMax post is pretty clear.

Step 1. Qualify for Elite via rivals
Step 2. Once qualified, you'll battle it out 1v1 style until the top 4 emerge. It'll be a massive bracket. Imagine NCAA basketball tournament with 1 more round.

It's basically a more refined version of the MLG tournament in terms of seeding.

There's no point in trying to qualify for top 128 in elite if you don't plan on racing in the 1v1 races. All it'll do is create frustration from those wanting to compete because they'll have to do various tasks just to confirm that you forfeited.

Raceboy should be happy that everyone is on an even playing field. He suggested it after all. :)

Already gave away one nascar dlc. Lol.

With the questions I posted above, I was hoping that the introduction of this series would have some side benefits for general Hopper/League racing, but from what I've read of the rules & recent patch notes it looks to be a self-contained thing. So basically, the Hoppers will remain the frustrating experience they always have been, and Leagues will run the same way they always have, contentious scoring system included.

I was hoping to get back in to Forza Motorsport 6 if I saw some efforts to make the day-to-day Hopper experience less frustrating for those that want to race clean. As it stands I don't see it changing any time soon. I lost interest in Leagues after Christmas as I'd rather race "what I want, when I want", and the FRC Leagues don't entice me all that much as I already own NASCAR/Porsche (gifts from friends) and Unicorns mean nothing if I'm not playing the game already. I'm nowhere near good enough to do well in the Elite Series so I won't bother coning back for that either.

The Forza Racing Championship itself is a good idea and I am sure that those who still enjoy Forza Motorsport 6 will have a great time over the next few weeks, but it's just not for me and the side-benefits I was hoping to see will not come to fruition. Maybe I was a little naive to think that new Multiplayer tools/features would be added to a game that's been out for 10 months.

I've already made my thoughts known in a Forza Motorsport 7 wishlist as regards what I would like to see done to Multiplayer, I guess I'll just have to wait a year to see if any of it comes to pass. Until then, good bye and good luck in the FRC to those that compete.

I don't have any details on how the viewers in Week 4 will win DLC, maybe through livestream chat, but I summarized the prizes based on the white charts, which are found at the ESL site.

Top 50% of your Division, yes.
[Edit - the rules state that it's top 50% of registered players]

Apologies if I missed something, but are the rivals events taking place right now the ones that will get you the Escort RS1600? If so, do you need to compete in all 3 events to get it? I don't have the Hot Wheels pack, so I don't have the Focus RS needed for one of the events.

Edit: seems one of my friends confirmed that the week 1 rivals hasn't started yet...

Good Morning All im new to this whole rival and league thing but i was accepted into the ESL so im hoping to be able to finish at least in the top 50% my question is what cars do i need to buy in order to compete?
Rank: Moderator
#20 Posted : Saturday, August 6, 2016 6:51:14 AM(UTC)
Good question, Bob. I've listed the required cars in posts #2 and #3 as part of the schedules:
2015 Ford Mustang GT for week 1 (Rivals and Leagues) is a regular roster car
2013 Ford Formula Ford EcoBoost 200 for week 2 (Rivals and Leagues) is a regular roster car
2016 Ford #66 Ford Racing GT Le Mans is a DLC car that many players received as a free code, but if you didn't you can install it for $2.99 from the Xbox Store (check the in-game Marketplace first to see if the price applies):
https://store.xbox.com/e...3-4ae9-8613-f2f79bc0b3d1
2017 Ford Focus RS for the Finals (week 4) is a DLC car as part of the Hot Wheels car pack, but the ESL rules state that the Finalists will receive a code to download it prior to the Finals race.

Based on your comment it sounds like you're lumping Rivals and Leagues together for the 50% but that only applies to Leagues; to win something more than the unicorn in Rivals, players must be in the top 128 *and* rank in the top 16 of your Saturday bracket races *and* place in the top 4 of the Sunday race that week. Only 12 players worldwide (4 from 3 weeks) will win prizes from the Season 1 Elite Series (if I'm reading the prize chart correctly)

Whats the difference between the Ford Falcon given for playing the league and the one given in the photo/livery contest? They come with different liveries?

Based on the Photo/Livery contest description Special ForzaRC Livery and Photo Competitions in FM6 thread at the top of this forum, it's the same livery for both those contests and League participants.
