The original post highlights a very important issue.
Horizon 2 does not let us make any choices about what to play when we go online. I never get to use my B-class cars because everybody votes S1/S2. People who want to play King/Infected only get to play it 20% of the time. People who want rally (or pavement racing) get it randomly 50% of the time.
The weird thing is that we already fixed this problem in Horizon 1 and also in Motorsport. Horizon 1 had custom public lobbies with keywords. For example, if you wanted to drift, you could find a drift lobby. Motorsport has hoppers. If you want to play D class cars, you can. If you want to play R class cars, you can. Horizon 2 deleted all choices like this.
Note that the only way around this is to try Online Free Roam But, everybody only does drag racing. One person might join your custom race, but they will immediately crash and quit the game. Or, you can use your Xbox friends list to do a private game, but this is not a feature, because it's outside of the game. The purpose of an online game and the internet is to be able to connect with random like-minded players who you are not *already* friends with. And previous Forza games had that...
