In Global Sim Racing we operate on a driver ranking system which places an emphasis (and rewards) driver safety and consistency. This system also replicates a real life racing driver career, working your way up the racing ladder, and insures close, competitive racing no matter your skill level! GSR is home to some of the fastest, most experienced drivers you will find on Forza 5 (and soon Project CARS), as well as many members who are brand new to sim racing.

Given that GSR is a sim racing league, we run with cockpit view, no braking line and all assists turned off.

I race regularly with GSR and they are a good bunch. Many excellent, clean racers; some very very fast. No non-sense crashers.

Have tried multiple times to join your site without success. After filling in all form fields and hitting "submit" I get an error message saying to enter DOB. DOB was included originally. So, I re-enter DOB and then notice my selected password has disappeared from it's fields so I re-enter my password and hit submit...."Please enter DOB"....over and over and over....

Nevermind. figured it out. see you soon.

Thank you for the kind words, GRD! And thank you to all of those who have applied over the past few weeks. We have accepted about 10-12 new drivers and will leave it there for now. We will likely do another recruiting spree once we get set to switch over to Project CARS on March 21st!

re: Rookie Test

This sounds like fun. I talked to Blonde for a while and understand the rationale behind this. Look forward to taking it, since any time it's a racing competition, it's bound to be fun.

To complete your rookie test you must schedule an appointment with MR BL0NDE 27.

To complete your rookie test and earn your GSR Level 2 racing license you must run a lap time no greater than:

Road Atlanta (Club):

Mazda MX-5 Cup - 1:13.999
Mazda MX-5 Road - 1:15.999
Mazda USF2000 - 1:03.999


Long Beach (East):

Mazda MX-5 Cup - 1:10.999
Mazda MX-5 Road - 1:11.999
Mazda USF2000 - 1:01.999


Drivers gain/lose safety points based on the following:

Clean race: +5

Involved in accident: 0

Causing accident: -5

Quitting, corner cutting, intentional hitting of markers/cones, bump drafting (Road to Indy): - 10

Once a driver has a safety rating of 25, they may move up and compete in a level 2 series

After racing with these guys for quite some time now, it's one of the best bunch of leaders I have ever had the pleasure to with, not to mention many incredibly clean and talented drivers. Their passion for realism (run it like they do in real life) and wholehearted embracing of pCARS (despite cries of "foul" from long time console simcaders) is such a breath of fresh air. NOW is the time to join, since we have a true SIM (finally!) on the xbox one.

GSR is a great and fun racing league. It might take some time to get use to running without assists but when you get use to it you will never go back. Extremely competitive racing, you will always be running around someone! June 27th is the start of our 2nd GSREC (Global Sim Racing Endurance Championship), enter with a group of friends or go solo! Join now!

GSR is a great racing league. The Admins are very professional and the quality of racers is 2nd to none. Going to be a lot of exciting things coming up for Project Cars so come over to globalsimracing.org and check it out.

It's always been quite difficult to find a racing community that tries to promote a true racing sim environment, as well as a community that isn't full of elitist members that scare away new drivers.

With GSR, I've been lucky to have found both. I don't get to race as often as I'd like due to real life commitments, but when I do, GSR never fails to deliver a good time. What impressed me the most, and still does, is the always "happy to help" attitude amongst the drivers. Not very good at tuning? No worries as there's always someone willing to help and share a tune or give good advice. Looking to shave off a few tenths on your lap time? Don't be afraid to ask about a racing line or what gear may be optimal for a certain corner; not once have I ever seen a GSR driver withold that sort of information.

It's simply a great group of guys who share the same passion for racing, and want to provide and clean, fun environment for all of us to share our passion for motorsport.

Just joined GSR and I gotta say these guys seem serious about there racing so if you want clean racing, then these are the guys to join.

I love racing with GSR, been their for 4 races, kind people and great races, IF, which their hardly is, any crashes drives calmly talk it through, no rubbish with this league.

I've been driving without assists since Forza 2, however I've just never made that jump in turning off the brake line. Most of the time I don't even follow it, but rather use it as a visual marker to know where MY brake zone is. After reading this post, I've decided to make that jump. I ran a few laps on Long Beach full with a BMW E39 M5 and figured out my breaking zones pretty quick, and even beat my previous fast lap. Tried the same on Bathurst right after, got those break zones down but couldn't beat my fast lap. I'll keep working on the tracks throughout the week to learn the break zones through track markers, and by the end of the week I'd say I'll be ready to join this league.

Reading these posts, it sounds great. League racing is something I've been thinking about doing since Forza 4, but could never find a league to suit my play style (sim everything, cockpit view). I'm looking forward to (hopefully) joining the league.

Awesome group of guys to race with. Clean, competitive and fun. Everyone is more than willing to help each other out with set ups and other pointers. Highly recommend joining and getting in on the racing.

Give these guys a look, just finished a series with them and they are all good guys. The competition is fierce but they are very clean with there racing.

I am having the same issue Eurocarnerd was. Every time I hit submit on the registration page, it says please enter DOB. I have of course done so already. I re-enter my password, select my favorite car classes again and put my DOB in and hit submit and I just get the Enter DOB error over and over. How can I fix this?

Joined a while back, like everyone else says its a great series. Diverse series for all cars and skill level. Friendly and more importantly they are serious and genuinly try to always improve the events. No jack*** driving here, very hard but clean racers. If your looking for a new site, look no further and join GSR.

I highly reccomned checking these guys out! Great group of people, very professional, and you can count on clean, fun races. It's super easy to get started too. You won't be let down!

Joined the lads on GSR and have had a great time,the boys are great racer and very CLEAN ,they are very helpful and been new to league racing made me feel very welcome.i would highly recommend u give these guys a look if ya fancy some close clean racing.
