Improved a few tenths using the 570s. Should be able to get into the 17s with that with a few more runs. I have a few more ideas before I have to resort to using the Monaco.

What tune do you use? Tried like 20 different now, either I even cant keep up with your ghost from the start or I am all over the place with the car... oO

I think it's Nalak's tune, I forget the name :( The 155 requires manual clutch for optimal times, that could be why I accelerate faster than you off the line, depending on what settings you use. I don't use the 155 in matchmaking precisely because it's pretty unforgiving, so I hear you there.

Now you make me sad ^^
Maybe I have to play around with deadzones and "-the other think i forgot the name, like steering intensity?-" a little bit more?
Or maybe the implementation of the Dualshock 3 controller with ScpToolkit simply does not allow more precise inputs. Or my thumbs are just getting old XD

I use the default settings, haven't messed with steering intensity or whatever. The controls in Forza are not very precise, not compared to a proper sim racer where you have genuine 1:1 direct control over the steering.

In Forza if there's a left hand corner you move the stick left, and the game takes care of the rest. You are somewhat in control but the game is always assisting you, even with all assists off. The main things you influence are when and where to steer, and your speed.

So in other words, your controller shouldn't be any handicap. Not considering people can set world records using the keyboard.

Yeah controller is the preferred method of input for FH4. I’d usually say that wheel is the most difficult, but Bedlam is making it look pretty good!

I've taken another .8 or .9 off in the 155 and am down into the mid 2:18s, I think an optimal run for me in that is mid 2:17s. I'm chasing Jezza's ghost and I can stay even until the second left hairpin and then the acceleration of the TZ2 out of that is just too much. Will have to try out that car after I max out the 155's potential.

Been a rough week and I missed what we’re doing currently. Could someone post a reminder please? That way I can post my usual bottom tier time. :)

Hey Jezza,

I would like an honorable mention in that list of my Morris Minor time. Did it in 2:53, a sweet 7 seconds under 3 minutes. lol

I thought it would be funny to try, but wow, that thing was completely unmanageable. Fast...but unmanageable.

Hey, related question: you mentioned using a drag tire (tyre) tune. I have never put slicks on anything other than a drag tune. My thought was that they are horrible for any sort of lateral traction...I take it I am wrong in this?

Yes, drag tyres are overpowered in FH4 but only work in Summer conditions. I couldn’t tell you what you need to do to make them work with your own builds though, as I don’t tune. Bree or. RB might be able to provide some tips.

My take on how drag tire tunes work (not a tuner) from a player perspective is that the slicks have tremendous traction, and so the car will go wherever you point it while accelerating. Functionally, I feel like I'm steering by using the throttle in combination with the joystick, kind of like how a RWD car pushes the nose through a turn. They definitely take a different driving style than standard AWD builds. Drag tire tunes are relatively unstable and tricky to use on tracks with a lot of tight or sudden turns, but they're fantastic on sprints with sweeping corners, and of course they accelerate incredibly fast.

Thanks for the Tip, now I remember why I kept 2 of this car and why I love it so much. Managed to squeeze 2,6 Seconds of my previous PB with this Car and Tune.
But man is this way above my skill level to drive.

There's an all out war going on right now with the Monaco KC between Jezza and Bedlam and I'm observing it from my perch in 9th place LOL.

Up to 6th now as the fastest AWD car on the board at 2:16.870. Going to leave it at that, I think. There's more time there but only enough to catch 5th.

Haha, the only reason this is remotely a fair fight is that the rules of engagement seem to include that Jezza can't go through the trees in the area with the houses after the second chicane.

For what it's worth, my current time was set with a custom tune I've shared as "TCS On" (because I can't even come close to driving it with TCS off) in which I've attempted to blend the tunes I mentioned earlier.

I nipped back ahead of Bedlam again - had to cut through the trees this time though.

For next week, back to Fortune Island and some dirt. Sticking to S1 and going for the Southland Super Scramble.

Mustang DD will be a strong choice this week for those looking for something quite stable and forgiving. Just outside the top 10 after 5 laps, using Rocklxd's rally v1.1 tune.

Where to find this one?
There is (translated from ger) "SouthCoast", "The South", "Swallowed Swamp"

why is it not simply showing in my rivals

think its "The South" the one with jezza 1:34 in bowler

"Dirt" there is always so much asphalt (atleast in title it says grip-race not dirt)
But yeah battle between mustang dd and alfa 33s (with roadtune?)

FH3's "Mixed Surface" a more appropriate category name.

Did a quick run in TZ2 wasnt the best one
Another quick run (automatic) in the 33s with GrandmaDrivings Dirt tune (search s1 first result) it was easy to beat fn's (rs200) time but no clean run (think it stored some +x.060)

V'ing the last corners gives u so much speed in the end its hard to brake at finishline todo another lap without invalidating in first corner

my rivals career is over :D

I've tried the DD, Alfa and Hoonigan so far. The latter is by far the easiest to drive here.

Best I managed with the DD after a few laps was 1:33.3. In the Hoonigan I'm at 1:32.06, using ANG3LR1PP3R's S1 Power Dirt tune. The top Hoonigan time is a second faster and I expect the top players here could beat that. Though probably it isn't quite fast enough to go 1st.
