Could be problems with the trial if you get unlucky with matchmaking, I used the LM 002 and it was very good, steady as you like to drive and decent speed especially in 5th + 6th, won all 3 races comfortably and actually enjoyed CC for once.

A teammate in a Scirocco was also quite fast but looked like they were having a much harder time controlling the car.

For the #MINIMOUNTAIN photo challenge, try placing your car within the circular road around the mountain (rather than outside the area, where the "Arthur's Seat" label is). Fast travelling to the Beauty Spot worked for me.

I second Max's suggestion and even took a nice photo.

Forest Sprite is an old Remix, but it's one of the more annoying ones. The crucial bit is the downhill left-hander near the end. You need to get a good entry there so you carry enough momentum to outpace the remaining biker.

The other seasonals are recycled from last year and rather standard. To make things easier run a Peel in the D500 championship.
May the forced induction be with you.

I just tried a online racxe and yep STILL A BROKEN HOT MESS. you get rammed into the wall and bascially come to a complete stop for 5 seconds. absolute garbage you get punished while the rammer drives off no problems. what a joke .

For the trial, I tried most of the cars available. Due to the long straights with lots of obstacles the heavier vehicles usually perform better. Faster by far was the lambo LM002 followed by Volvo and the scirocco ( a good 5-10 sec slower). Lambo did win me all three races easily, tunes are shared on my storefront.

For those struggling to with the "Getting Gnarly" Trial Event

I while playing today I noticed that a number of people were struggling to complete this event. So I make a quick video showing how to beat the "unbeatable" AI with a proper car for the course.

https://youtu.be/0sXf4DWUrwQ

Step 1) Get the Lamborghini LM 002. It's an Offroad AWD vehicle that can handle the ensuing madness of X-Country.
Step 2) Upgrade it to C600 and tune the Final Drive to max acceleration
Step 3) Go out and win some races

I wish you all best of luck.
Curry.

Edit:
- realized that 10 minutes is a bit long to tell you to pick the Lambo LM 002, so now video is under 2 minutes
- changed the link.

While correct buddy most that struggle with any trial are usually like that because they either can't or won't try and drive properly, no car can change that.

Some just turn up hoping to leech the prize by getting in a team with 3 good drivers so they don't have to contribute anything.

Re the "Getting Gnarly" Trial Event:

I don't usually do trials but wanted to give the LM002 a go. However at the time there were insufficient players for matchmaking so I did the seasonal Playground Games instead.

Whilst P.I. stats are not that reliable, I noticed that the launch and acceleration figures for the LM002 were poor so I eventually did the Trial in a Volvo. I overtook practically everyone by the first corner and we won easily. Really enjoyable.

The only reason I've been struggling to complete it is I keep getting disconnected. I had this problem 2 weeks ago, then last week it was fine, now this week constant disconnections. Played CSGO for a couple of hours before running up FH4 and had absolutely zero problems with online multiplayer in CSGO.

Just broke the rivals WR for Arthur’s Seat using the LM002, so I think it’s safe to say that should be more than adequate for most people to win the trial. Pretty dead leaderboard but I’ll take it 😅.

And the Mountain Foot one as well. Doubt I can get Glen Rannoch as there’s less stuff to break there, so other cars will be more effective but I’ll give it a quick go.

Took longer but got the Glen Rannoch one as well.

So, 2.44.3 for Arthur’s, 2.21.2 for Mountain Foot and and 1.58.9 for Glen Rannoch, if anyone wants some targets to aim for in the trial.

Hello one an all,

Cars/tunes/suggestions for some of this weeks seasonal for those that find such useful. All tunes are my own, unless otherwise noted, all shared by myself (or others). ~ tune name / share code. If you use anything offered here, and you like it/it was useful to you, please don't forget to leave a like.

Online:
**Trial: "Getting Gnarly" | Cross Country | (C600) 1980s
**Car used: 1986 Lamborghini LM002 (Autoshow 180,000 Cr)
**Tune: C600 CC Trial / 787 659 000

Took me a while to find something that worked for me for this weeks Trial, and be successful in the same events in an offline/solo setting ~ for ref. the 'unbeatable' A.I. offline are much faster than in the Trial, with the usual bad coding (and so giving advantage to the A.I.) of A.I. ignoring all slow-down effects from obstacles, water etc.
Using the LM002 as its untuned setting at least somewhat favors cross country, which is useful due to C class not giving you much P.I. to play with, and a lot needs to go towards power, to over come the A.I. "advantage" as mentioned above. Performed well in the Trial, easy to lead on the A.I., balanced and stable through jumps, slow on acceleration, but not lacking in top speed. The Volvo does appear it would be faster (as did a Buick I encountered) but both lack the grip the LM002 has with stock tires, so while they could lead, with the right player, I did not encounter this - they did however place well, most of the time. Tune has no aero, is supercharged, runs stock tires and is AWD is standard.

**Seasonal Playground Games | Rail Yard | (A800) Chevy or Dodge
**Car used: 1969 Dodge Charger R/T (Autoshow 103,000 Cr)
**Tune: A800 Games / 147 419 956

This one is almost too fast for the location, and that after I geared it more towards acceleration vs. speed. Good grip, as concrete and gravel that acts like concrete at the Railyard, removing any surface issues. Very fast, very good for Flag Rush, run it through the building, second floor window, fly most of the way. Tune is AWD, supercharged, no aero, hood/bonnet with the 'hump', vintage tires.

PR Stunts:
- The Orchards Speed Zone, 1978 Hoonigan Ford Escort RS1800 - 'S900 Rally Trial' (680 307 281), - this was a struggle, this Zone is at the limit for the characteristics of this tune, had a few goes to get it.
- Sylvan Hollow Speed Trap, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - 'PR Stunt Rally' (120 633 544),
- Reservoir Ridge Danger Sign, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - 'PR Stunt Rally' (120 633 544).

Solo championships - Raced against Expert, Steering: Simulation, ABS: on, Traction/Stability: Off, Gearbox: Auto.

Just the one for now -
**Championship: "Hyperspace Express" | Street Scene | (S2 998) Hypercars
**Car used: 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder (Autoshow 850,000 Cr)
**Tune: S998 Road Street / 317 380 481

Not a fan, so not a lot to say, S2 too fast for me sometimes. Car/tune can do it, but for me it was not easy and took a number of attempts (especially the first race). Tune has Forza air, and car is AWD as standard.

Cheers!

The Trial - I had the Volvo tuned up for something, had rally shocks so figured I'd give it a go. It runs well, low grip, but holds an arc well. It does not do combat though and my first run was painful, even got flipped upside down at one point. It's light so it gets good distance over jumps and straightens out well if off-center. Not the best through water or obstacles, but if you bide your time and run behind someone, you come out the other side of it pretty well. I see a lot of mention of the Lambo, I'm sure I'll do that, but also wanted to mock up a Fiat Spider just to see.
1983 Volvo 242 Turbo Evo Tune: 179 960 991

PGG - Full lights and push bar. Did this more for the aesthetic but it actually does quite well. It's stable, turns well, not the fastest off the line but gets good speed. And it can mess people up during Infected, lol.
1996 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport Tune: 693 389 239

One of Us - I have a couple of cult favorites but wanted to run something that doesn't get a lot of attention. Enter the Morris Minor. Starts at 100 so plenty of headroom even with a cap of 500. It has decent speed and good pick up. But no traction, lol. You need to slow up even for long sweeping turns, but it can pick it back up once you get through it. Want to tune up an Esseesse for it as well.

Tourist Trap - Apparently I don't run Super GT. I didn't have a single car tuned. The Vanquish looked promising so gave that a shot. Definite grip tune. Could use a little more high end to it but it takes turns and holds a line really well. Smooth and controllable.
2012 Aston Martin Vanquish Tune: 134 874 686

Hyperspace - Ran a few cars on here due to a request in another thread. All three handle the courses, with the Centenario and the Senna being the faster/more in control. However, when I ran the Senna, the lead AI was 5 seconds faster than when I ran the Centenario. I ran them both a few times, same result each time. They are both S2 998, so it's not that. Just odd.

2018 Italdesign Zerouno Tune: 128 473 218
2016 Lamborghini Centenario Tune: 130 276 980
2018 McLaren Senna Tune: 152 980 241

PR Stunts:
Speed trap - Ran a 219 at Sylvan Hollow with the Ferrari 599XX Evo Tune: 148 895 824
Speed zone - The Hoonigan RS200 is almost unfair. I arrived while someone else was trying it. I came in, laid one run, and drove away. The RS200 is just so good in dirt or gravel. Tune 167 032 028
Danger sign - Originally tried with something else but switched to the 2014 Lamborghini Huracan. Rally tires/rally shocls and just plain fast. Works best if you cheat the jump a little to the left.

Not sure what to use for this cross country C600 trial, as when I used Ford Fiesta XR2 on rally tires, I gor 4th and 2x 1st, trial lost 0:3, used Fiat 124 on vintage tires, got 3x 2nd and won trial with 3:0
Did test Volvo but its not really there, also prepared Lambo LM 002 and HDT Commodore Group A on stock tires, which will be use in next run of trial.
Ford Fiesta XR2, tune - 146 288 640
Fiat 124, tune - 745 370 795
Lambo LM 002, tune - 658 261 258
HDT Commodore, tune - 126 779 335

That out of the way, time for some solo action :)
First street scene in cult cars D 500 ... leat's cheat :P
Peel P50 (D 100), tune - 108 002 456

Next was road racing in S1 900 super GT cars and I just reused my topless Ferrari
Ferrari Portofino, tune - 402 894 592

Last on schedule was a bit tougher street racing with S2 998 hyper cars, AI traffic is the main problem
Pagaini Zonda Cinque Roadster, tune - 175 062 114

PR stunts as everybody knows now I used Koenigsegg Agera RS, tune - 167 849 655 for speed trap and danger sign, used Hoonigan RS200, tune 428 155 751 for offroad speed zone.

For Forzathon car I picked A 800 BMW M3 '05, tune - 161 594 469, used Astmoor speed trap for easy 3 star progress, used my custom blueprint road race at Lakehurst Forest sprint - 691 610 875 and to get some showoff skills, I did some racing on Mudkickers 4x4.

Finished with Max's tip on location and hid Mr. Bean's mini among the rocks.

Hope this can be of any help to anyone, take care everyone and have fun, bb

Remainder of Solo championships: - Raced against Expert, Steering: Simulation, ABS: on, Traction/Stability: Off, Gearbox: Auto.

**Championship: "Tourist Trap" | Road Racing | (S1 900) Super GT
**Car used: 2017 Mercedes AMG GT R (Autoshow 295,000 Cr)
**Tune: S1 Road / 403 918 642

Straight forward win contender tune/car. No real issue getting the win at all three races. Car could do with some aero upgrades to make its cornering performance even better, but for which ever reason such upgrades are not an option for it. Tune is AWD, race tires, no aero (above).

**Championship: "One of Us" | Street Scene | (D500) Cult Cars

Cult Cars - so many choices, so three races, three different cars, one race a piece:

*Track: Edinburgh West End
**Car used: 1968 Abarth 595 Esseesse (Autoshow 35,000 Cr)
**Tune: D500 Road RWD / 366 636 680

Competitive win, not a run away win. Car/tune has quirks, car/tune can and does lose traction without warning, although situation for 'when' can be predicted and adjusted for - I advise cruising through corners power off, and only apply power leaving corners, otherwise you will find your self traveling off at 90degrees to the direction you wish to go. Tune is RWD, supercharged, has no bumpers nor aero, with race tires.

*Track: Edinburgh Stockbridge
**Car used: 1972 Reliant Supervan iii (Autoshow 35,000 Cr)
**Tune: D500 Road / 874 972 437

The actual speedster among the three - if you can master how it corners - very easy lead and win. If you have used it before you know, but this one has a less than ideal turn radius, I suggest a little practice before racing. Tune has no training wheels, rear Forza air, AWD, with the only tire option you get - offroad/race compound.

*Track: The Monument Wynds
**Car used: 1958 Morris Minor 1000 (Autoshow 20,000 Cr)
**Tune: D500 Road RWD / 135 199 515

Halfway between the two above, easy win, but not quite a run away win. Tune is supercharged, RWD, rear Forza air, with rally tires.

One more special mention - did not run it, but know the result is a 100% run away win at all races, although it will be a slow win:
**Car used: 1962 Peel P50 (Barnfind)
**Tune: D100 Easy Pass / 177 610 598
~ AWD, Forza air, offroad/race tire compound.

Enjoy!

This isn't a difficult danger sign and if you're having trouble it's likely you need to try a different car or set up. I passed the target on my first go with an X999 Mosler MT900 which works well for many of the seasonal PR stunts.

Its not that high at all

This same danger sign has been up so many times since release and no one else has had issues
I actually got 200 yards past the target score

How are we supossed to win the new showcase remix????? It wont matter how fast i go with the sprite, it is just IMPOSSIBLE. I always end up with terrible distance between the first guy in the bike and me. Is this another joke event?.

I couldn't do it either, I gave up. I only needed 50% anyway so I didn't need it. But yeah, the bikes were way ahead of me... although I never use rewinds. My rewind setting is always turned off.
