If anyone is looking for a trial car -> you can try 65 Mini with my tune "na stage 0".
Very slow on staights (top speed around 200km/h), but gets nicely from line and a lot of grip (offroad tires). Well suited for dirt parts.
So in 1st race you will lose some positions on tarmac part, but you will recover on dirt part, in 2nd it will be good - 98% of track is dirt, only downside is that straight part on top of the hill, in 3rd it should dominate? - was clocking under 1:19 (top50 rivals time), so I can tell it was pretty good? + DNF'd everyone in that race LOL

TIP for using my tune: shift at around 6krpm ;)

Nice and easy trial 2nd (lost to power built machine) and 2x 1st and 3:0 for team, with some mix of tarmac, gravel and mud.
Since there were few long straights on first two races, I went for vintage tires on 60's cars, its the return of Mr. Bean :)

Not really able to drive Peel or Isetta, I went for lil Abarth on vintage tires, which will struggle on straights, but can at least take corners.

Forzathon car Volvo 850R, I first tuned it to A class, used my new custom blueprint at Ambleside Village circuit, code - 655 072 061 (turn right at first checkpoint, then at second do as you wish, turn right on gravel to finish, or just follow the tarmac turn to finish), then went for a highway drive and finally try to do those drifts ... no can do, so thrown in 2.6 TT engine, upgraded it to max and did some drifting at festival drift zone ... done.

PR stunts as always .. Agera RS, tune - 167 849 655 used for danger sign and speed trap and Hoonigan RS200, tune - 428 155 751 for off road speed zone.

Aww yea, we get to use the Peel P50 in an event. This car is broken. Completely. Because it's SO low spec, below D100 which is as low as the computer registers, you can actually upgrade it and still have the computer think you're running stock. I've had a tune up on the marketplace for a while that drastically improves the car, makes it more than twice as fast, much easier to handle, and the computer doesn't even know I've done it. You can easily lap the other P50s on the second lap, and if you're quick can lap others before a 3 lap race is done. So dumb, so fun. 600 056 293 Have fun it's stupid.

You dont need any special tune or upgrade for the P50. Just upgrade as much as you can in the D range (300+) and thats about it. You can tune it to reach between 90-95 mph, but its not necessary. With the default tune you can already overlap every single AI in the second lap and almost the third one. I sometimes use it when i want a relaxed race and an easy win, in the marathon event.

Hello All,

Cars/tunes/suggestions for Pr stunts and online events for those that find such useful. All tunes are my own, unless otherwise noted, all shared by myself (or others). ~ tune name / share code. If you use anything offered here, and you like it/it was useful to you, please don't forget to leave a like.

Online:
**Trial: "Welcome to the 60s" | Dirt Racing | (B700) Decade: 1960s
**Car used: 1964 Austin FX4 Taxi (HTF)
**Tune: B700 Road Rally / 875 732 549

A.I. behavior: I do feel the A.I. is somewhat slower in the Trial vs. offline/solo, but it was difficult for me to tell based of how I feel the system 'matches' with players, the tune/car I used does beat unbeatable in solo, however the system (I believe) also matches to the player (otherwise loads of cars in the game would not be viable at all), how it tackles this in a team environment would be different, I think this is why at times I felt the the Trial A.I. was easier, harder and about the same all at once, as was different in different races.
Player behavior: (Thinking this rant is no use here - as such people to be mentioned are not here). If you are going to be a 'meta-ster' and drive the "omg it is the fastest and best" car/s, i.e. the Daytona, please just get to the front (where you should be realistically if you are using this correctly) as quickly as possible, causing as little disruption as possible - if you can not do this, for example because you do not have "the good OMG fast" driving skill, or because you tuned badly/have a bad zero grip (you can't handle) tune, or because you feel the need to run people off the track, because been good, getting to first fast isn't enough for you - please do not enter the Trial and/or pick something you can handle.

So, using the ultimate in troll "wth are you bring that for" cars today - a taxi (no downloads for me!0. As mentioned above, this tune/car does indeed/can beat solo unbeatable A.I., performance in the trial varies, however there should be little problem (if no mistakes, bad opportunities allowing A.I. to race ahead) getting in front of all the A.I. in all races, vs your teammates will depend on what they bring and what their skill is - the taxi is not a meta car for a reason! I found sticking in 4th (going with at least three of the teammates will bring strong cars, and be good with them) and blocking the A.I. was best, some what helping slower players catch up. Taxi is not so slow vs. faster teammates that you will be DNF'ed, should easily cross the line even in 4th place. Tune is AWD, no aero, chopped top (otherwise stock taxi look), 3.2L I 6 engine, with sports tires - note, tires make the car a little twitchy in the dirt, but are needed to get the extra power push for the trial's variable A.I. level (rally tires, with less power work fine in solo however).

**Seasonal Playground Games | Slate Quarry | (A800) Extreme Offroad
**Car used: 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser AT37 (Autoshow 83,000 Cr)
**Tune: A800 Games / 317 459 368

Previous games tune for same class/type at same location in same season. Win, lose, we all win. Reasonably quick, nice handling, very stable, fun to drive. Tune runs no body-mods beyond mudflaps, no aero.

Same that we was using in rivals.
Probably I will make heavier version with more power later today. There is so many options to try in this trial, that it will keep me busy for some time. VW T2 is already waiting in line to get modified :)

Yes the Marathon is relaxing in D Class P50. On Unbeatable you just catch the 1st placer before the end.

The Opel Kadett is another nice option for the Trial, I used it and had some fairly close racing with another player who was using the '65 Mini.

In the lead after 1 or 2 flag gates and it's a run-away from the rest of the herd. This Mini Cooper earned another golden trophy. I'd could be happier if only I would stop missing a gate or two.

I did the Trial in the Mustang Fastback first up and won all three, i decided i would use the Mini and won quite a few more but did find i struggled if a well tuned and competent driver of a Shelby Daytona was racing. The Daytona just pulls that lead that is hard to reign in with other cars.

My summary would be that the Daytona with a good tune would be the go to car followed by the Mini, which itself is a winner practically all the time with a decent tune minus the Daytona.

The Daytona is meta for B dirt, particularly those with a lot of tarmac (White Horse). The Mini doesn’t have the top speed to beat it on the first two courses and probably not even on the circuit. A good driver in the Daytona will beat one in the Mini on these tracks.

Out of curiosity I did try my Mini on rivals and came to 1.19.631 in few laps, did try Daytona - speed yes, but I struggle to have any grip at all, because I'm stuck on stock tires.
Mini's tune is derived from the one from a bit back that was used on road (this one only has changed suspension and some settings to match), so top speed is around 225kph, comes handy on those long straights. :)

Tried to build heavier Mini. It did well, but difference between handling and top speed wasn't that great, so my vote goes to light Mini.

At this point best cars for Trial was: Mini, Shelby Daytona, Opel Kadett, Fulvia and VW T2 :P Nove FE was doing pretty good too.
Worst one was E-type and Transit. And of course Shelby Cobra, because it is starting as PI700 RWD car, so no way to make it dirt friendly.

El Barto - i have a challnage for you. Use mine or build something similiar to my Mini and run it one more time. We can do it in tandem if you want.
Mixture: offroad tires, modified stock engine, stock camshafts, N/A, race weight reduction,
If you are using automatic gearbox it would be better then Honda swapped, because it is shifting to early for VTEC ;)

I got to say I really enjoyed the seasonals this week.

S1 Italian might be a bit overdone, but I shouldn't complain, I love driving Italian cars.

That D class event though... That is right up my ally for silly fun. My friend and I had a blast running that event.

I've got to make the obligatory request though: When are we going to get an A class street even that is Evo Vs Impreza?

Ok, still using auto gearbox, Mini on rally tires, with all upgrades, but forced induction 552kg, 118kW, 230Nm, tops at around 205 kph.
Could beat my vintage tired engine swapped tune by few tenths of a second, but not much.
Tune is good if you need high grip, but straights kill it.

I wasn't really happy with most of my tunes this week. I was finding it difficult to achieve the right balance. It just never settled in for me. I still completed all the challenges, but aside from the Volvo, they never hit the "This is right" point.

The Trial - I first ran a '65 Mustang that I already had tuned and it ran well. I didn't take first because there was a Shelby Daytona that absolutely owned. But I was able to compete with and beat a Mini Cooper. Then later, I wanted to make up a Karman Ghia but I could never get an engine/tire combination that worked. It was either not quite fast enough but a control monster...or plenty fast on stock tires. And wow, that one was fun. lol. Still ended up second throughout except the last track which it took to amazingly, especially the extra traction version. So much so I missed the front gate for turning in to quickly, had to reset twice, and still took first. Wanted to run a Taxi but haven;t tuned one up yet for it.

PGG - I remembered I had newfound respect for the Mini X-Raid from a Cross Country event, so fired it up for the games. It runs well. Quick, turns well, changes direction, and pretty easy to control. Except my teammates were still dropping out. We won the first round but had a dropout...thinking a disconnection, I've been there. Lost the second round and two more companions. By the time of the last (fourth) event, it was a flag challenge and there were two of us. We scored four times. When it came to defend, I was the only one. I came within 32 seconds of winning/tying the event. I was a blocking beast, lol. Again, respect for the X-Raid.

Tiny Feet - I could have run an Esseesse but that just wouldn't be me. So I brought in an Isetta. The steering needs to be muted a bit as it is quick to turn in and force a slide. Acceleration is decent but it hits a wall at top end. As with any of them, obstacles are a killer. Thinking of trying the Peel.

Wolf's Mouth - I wanted to run the Ferrari Dino so tuned one up. It was fast, lovingly so, but the turns had to be handled with kid gloves. But it did well. I also has an Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2. According to the stat bars (cue chuckle) it was a slower, gripper tune than the Dino. Um, yeah, no. It was a beast. It was a 65% bias AWD that acted like a full RWD. It took off and accelerated beautifully. Couldn't handle a turn if its life depended on it. It won only due to the fact it could sprint away from everyone else once the road straightened out. So might revisit the tuning board and get it more under control.

Volvo - I have loved the 850R for awhile now, it was my Tag game sleeper in MS6. So naturally I have tuned versions of it here as well. But I wanted to try the 242. Being a C600 event, tuning is a challenge. Maybe the AI were just out of sorts trying to run Cross Country at 600 pts because it wasn't even close. Like 15 seconds to 2nd place. But running an automatic was forcing it into tough decisions and it was failing, always up a gear too high going uphill, etc. So I ran it as a manual. My first manual challenge, yay! I understand the problem now, a lot of the track was right at shift points...but now I could keep it down a gear and keep it strong. Won by 20 seconds. This could be what makes the change for me and finally gets me into running manual.

Still having issues getting the right balance between speed and grip in the Trial. My '65 Mustang was the best overall, but my fast Ghia was the top performer (not an easy driver, though)

Mocked up a '60 Vette just for something different and made a few runs. First was way too grippy and not quick enough. However, due to the nature of the three courses, I ended up managing second each time. It could hold a turn better than anything else out there. Finally, trimmed it down to street tires, kicked up some more HP, etc. Definitely better. But I had an absolutely pleasurable driving experience and ended my night with that.

There were four of us at the front. Relatively competent and mindful of each other. A few bumps in the turns but all was good as we just ran together through each race. I typically held back in 4th keeping the AI at bay by disrupting their race line. And we just ran like that all the way to the finish line. The last track though, I was just better in the turns and made it up to second. No crashing in the corners, no pushing out of gates, no getting sideways in front of you and spamming "Nice driving!!" for the inevitable collision. It was just like we were friends all cruising.
