+1 for much better events.

The trial has also reminded me of the incredible gift I have for finding awful teams in easy trials, nobody who can drive remotely close to properly should have any problems with it.

Road racing was the name of the game this week, except one, so lets get to it.
Starting with very easy trial, 3x 1st and 1:2 for team (thank you to 3 teammates who quit and made this happen :) )
Mr. Beans Mini still has it, nothing came close :)
B 700 Mini Cooper S '65, tune - 104 146 731
slower alternative Mini John Cooper Works '09, tune - 586 347 824

Moving to solo championships and why not starting with super GT cars and what better time to finally take my topless Ferrari for a spin :)
S1 900 Ferrari Portofino, tune - 402 894 592
alternative MB SLS AMG, tune - 130 630 292

continuing with classic racers championship and easy choice
A 800 Shelby Daytona, tune - 608 196 288
alternative Alfa Romeo TZ2, tune - 833 837 923

and so we came to cross country racing with ... trucks ... yeah
B 700 MB Unimog, tune - 132 046 075
or if anyone feels brave, but in reality its just foolish, as it can only fit race tires for CC race ... MB Tankpool24, tune - 133 409 255

PR stunts as always .. Agera RS, tune - 167 849 655 used for danger sign and speed trap and McLaren Senna, tune - 176 256 116 used for speed zone.

Forzathon car is our winner from trial Mini Cooper S, using same tune from trial, with custom blueprints dirt: Derwent water trail , code - 764 612 023 and road Lakehurst Forest Sprint, code - 691 610 875 (just drive straight on both). Finally went to the beach and had fun collecting skill points :).
For some reason I completed dirt racing, while doing the trial ... idk ?

To finish, again a lil pic - Del Boy on the run, to become a millionaire :)

As always, I hope this can be of any help to somebody, take care everyone and have fun, bb.
Alfa Romeo - made in Italy, perfected in my garage

Hello once again,

Cars/tunes/suggestions for this weeks online and PR seasonal events for those that find such useful. All tunes are my own, unless otherwise noted, all shared by myself (or others). ~ tune name / share code. If you use anything offered here, and you like it/it was useful to you, please don't forget to leave a like.

Online:
**Trial: "Fire Saga" | Street Scene | (B700) Mini
**Car used: 1965 Mini Cooper S (Barnfind)
**Tune: B700 Road AWD / 593 635 615

Due to been Street Scene (apparently - see below) I did not test the offline/solo A.I., the Trial A.I. seem competitive, yet not at Unbeatable. The A.I. running the buggy causes problems in this event, at least if your car is light, and if what I saw is the norm. The Buggy seems to lose grip suddenly in corners if you are close to it, which can really ruin your day if you are in the wrong place. This car/tune is not be the fastest for the trial (depends on what teammates bring/tune), which makes winning the last race a challenge (beating the A.I. should be a non issue), but it is a team event so, no problem. Plenty of grip makes the first two races a breeze, just be aware too much back and forth on the steering can throw this short wheelbase car into a spin.
Tune is AWD, supercharged, no aero, front lights, no rear bumper.
- Note: for some reason this event shows dirt event icons in when showing the races, there is no dirt racing here at all, however this 'bug' will allow you to get the second part of the weekly (win two dirt series events) without leaving the road!

**Seasonal Playground Games | Bamburgh Castle | (B700) Classic Muscle
**Car used: 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am (Autoshow 45,000 Cr)
**Tune: B700 Games Sand / 182 129 982

Sand, sand, sand.. No issue for this tune, has sufficient grip on both the grassy and sandy areas. Balanced, predictable, nice speed, if slow on beginning. Tune is supercharged, AWD, sport tires, rear Forza air (min).

PR Stunts:
- Oldweir Speed Zone, 2018 McLaren Senna - 'New S2 Road Race' (111 960 179) by Don Joewon Song,
- Princes Street Speed Trap, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - 'PR Stunt Rally' (120 633 544),
- Bamburgh Castle Danger Sign, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - 'PR Stunt Rally' (120 633 544).

Solo championships - Raced against Unbeatable, Steering: Simulation, ABS: on, Traction/Stability; Off, Gearbox: Auto.

Just the one for now -

**Championship: "Truck Be a Lady" | Cross Country | (B700) Trucks
**Car used: 2014 MB Unimog U5023 (Autoshow 100,000 Cr)
**Tune: B700 CC Spring / 418 559 127

The A.I. runs the Tankpool, so straight up cheats, as this truck while fast only has slicks for tires! Although oddly stops cheating when you are near them, no more amazing grip. Event wise, the two sprint events are easy enough wins, the circuit event less so..because cheating. I do not know quite what is happening, and where it happens, but it seems the A.I. skips checkpoints, which it will finally reset for when crossing the start/finish line - although I feel the reset requires you to be able to see them / be close to them. I tried this event a few times, and also during the week as knew about it, my experience is in the first lap (lagging a lot, as very hard to get in front of trucks) cross the start finish in 7th, immediately changed to 4th place, second lap cross the start finish in 3rd, gaining on second, 1st no where to be seen, and now we are in 2nd place, last lap - and this is why this race is a pain, as you can not be sure if this will happen, only that you can be sure the A.I. cheated - last lap, cross the line in second, 1st, win the event (truck in 1st is shifted to 7th or 8th when crossing the line).
Tune is engine swapped for 12.8L, has exterior front rollcage 'bumper', tray on back, with spare tire.

Enjoy.

Dirt racing perk on the HSV.

According to Playground, there's no paved roads in Australia.

(good car though)

When it comes to the events, I'm never a fan of Street Scene, but I admit my car choice was pretty poor (812, it just doesn't have grip). The Trucks championship is usually very easy, because the AI defaults to the Tankpools (reason? nobody drives trucks, so nobody has Unimogs/Iron Knights). For Classic Racers the Daytona will be the obvious choice but any car can win.

@WangKeRui I wouldn't say the AI cheats since they struggle a lot on the grass. Whenever there's a B700 truck championship, the Unimog can win easily offroad, but struggles on tarmac. So it does have those boosts every AI has, but it won't do impossible things.

I used the stock 642 PI 2012 Mini JCW GP for the Trial. I couldn't keep up with one human in a 700 PI Mini '65, but it can beat all the AI provided you don't get held up too much early on.

"Cheat" maybe too harsh a word, I don't know, maybe "Alleged Specious Behavior", anyway I am using the term as a catchall for anything the A.I. does that is a human player did it, would be considered bad form at the very least.

In the case of performance behavior of the A.I. which exceeds or does not match that of the vehicle the A.I. is using, if this is "Alleged Specious Behavior" or not really depends on how the game treats vehicles when the A.I is using. If as is sometimes suggested (I also feel this is plausible), the A.I. is using the same 'vehicle' in all races and scaling it to match chosen class, type and difficulty setting, and using an eligible vehicle as a 'skin' for appearances to players, there is no real "Alleged Specious 'vehicle' Behavior" (to a point, I do think sometimes they do speeds or actions vehicles in the race type and P.I limit could not do at all) even if a player could not make the chosen vehicle do the same things - i.e. Tankpool having offroad grip. The problem with this idea is the 'appearance' vehicles known to do amazing things are often the same across many players and systems - i.e. the Can-Am buggy - not sure what to make of that.
On the other hand,if what you see the A.I. using, is what they are using, well, "Alleged Specious Behavior" is happening all the time.

The real problem for "Alleged Specious Behavior" is performance boosts (I guess?) the A.I. gets that players don't - phase through objects unless player is real close (it is not enough to be able to see them, you need to be close), amazing grip that doesn't match situation (again the A.I. can lose this grip when you are nearby them, the Tankpool truck certainly does), no slow down in water, no slow down in the air, dirt/mud/snow/grass - all tarmac performance. These things are worse in cross country races, especially if you are in the lead, as you suffer all the slow down while the A.I. power along as if on a highway.

For the current series event "Truck be a Lady" only North City Cross Country Circuit is really problematic, something funny is certainly going on with the A.I. - it is just hard to see what is happening, yet it certainly is odd - as I mentioned for my experience:
- in 7th place, pass start/finish line, pass no one, now in 4th/3rd, truck in front shifts from 2nd to 7th... huh?
- in 2nd place, 1st is far ahead, can not be seen, 1st should have crossed finish line, on minimap see "1st" suddenly zoom to a position just ahead of me, 1st is now 2nd (didn't pass it), I am 1st... huh?

On a lighter note..

The AI in this game does make me angry for many of the reasons you listed. Last week I was having RWD Ageras out-accelerating my car in the snow. An Agera RS has, like, 1,400 bhp, and runs on Sport tires (in S2 that is). My car was also RWD but nowhere nearly as powerful as an Agera RS.

Loved that kangaroo comment!

Ok. so not the best week for tunes for me. Not sure if it is a combination of being pre-occupied (work) or just not inspired...but anyhoo,

The Trial - I knew I didn't want to run the '65 Mini, so I looked at the Countryman. Changed tires, added a few things and off we go. It just did not have enough grip to make it reliable. Still placed first but it was harder than it should have been, Might be retooling this tune.
2018 Mini JCW Countryman All4

PGG - I already had a tune up for this, and it was a Mustang. Light, AWD, good tires. Moved well in the sand...and didn't hurt that nearly the entire other side dropped out. Oh well.
1965 Ford Mustang GT Coupe Tune: 171 107 217

Greatest Hits - Ran the 1953 Ferrari 500 Mondial. Way slidey, not well planted at all, but fast. Still managed 1sts but it could use a bit more tweaking to get it to settle down.

GT Phone Home -Had a 2017 Mercedes GTR PO already at A900. I think it comes that way because it was still RWD. I'm still not that good at RWD. All the sharp turns were brutal for me, trying to get the power back on without losing it. Made it through but the last sprint was rough with all the turns in city. Fortunately there's a spot near the end where they all slow up but you can just blast through at full speed. Took four places and the lead right there.

Truck Be a Lady - I was looking forward to this one. Like the last time they had a truck challenge but with it being exclusively trucks. But it got hampered by the low rating. So basically you can only run the 2014 Mercedes Unimog U5023. Well, it's either one of the best tunes ever or it's just an easy challenge. I have my guess. lol. Every AI was a Tankpool and they just couldn't hold a line, so it was pretty easy pickings. So now I want a higher class truck challenge. More mix of gravel and road surface...looks like it's custom route time.

PR Stunt:
Trap - 2012 Ferrari 599XX Evo Tune: 148 895 824.
Was already there, so just ran it. Had rally tires on, but doesn't matter, it just has killer acceleration and top end.

Zone - 2018 VW ID R Tune: 220 347 284
I kinda felt bad. As I approached the zone, someone was there obviously attempting the challenge. I ran it one way, turned around and ran it back. Got the challenge and moved on. They were still there. The VW just sticks, no matter what.

Danger Sign - 2012 Ferrari 599XX Evo Same tune.
Ok, so I saw a DUBS video where he was attempting a 10-second airtime jump. I forget what car he was using, a mid-engine something. But I changed over my 599 from the M68 challenge to have rally tires and suspension. So far I am up to 9.45 seconds, and took nearly 1800 feet at the Great Ridge Danger Sign. So I headed over to Bamburgh and did the jump. I didn't want to beat my personal best because I have that with an AMC Gremlin and that just cracks me up.

This Solo championships - Raced against Unbeatable, Steering: Simulation, ABS: on, Traction/Stability; Off, Gearbox: Auto.

**Championship: "Truck Be a Lady" | Cross Country | (B700) Trucks
**Car used: 2014 MB Unimog U5023 (Autoshow 100,000 Cr)
**Tune: B700 CC Spring / 418 559 127

... Event wise, the two sprint events are easy enough wins, the circuit event less so..because A.I, behaviour. ...Tune is engine swapped for 12.8L, has exterior front rollcage 'bumper', tray on back, with spare tire.

Remaining Solo championships - Raced against Expert, Steering: Simulation, ABS: on, Traction/Stability; Off, Gearbox: Auto.

**Championship: "GT Phone Home" | Street Scene | (S1 900) Super GT
**Car used: 2012 Aston Martin Vanquish (Autoshow 348,000 Cr)
**Tune: S900 Road / 121 219 204

Sufficient competent competitive tune/car for this event, event is slightly raining at points, no issue for this car/tune. Tune is AWD, twin turbo, Forza air, race tires.

**Championship: "Greatest Hits" | Road Racing | (A800) Classic Racers
**Car used: 1959 Jaguar Mk ii 3.8 (Autoshow 80,000 Cr)
**Tune: A800 Road / 133 159 822

Very easy win car/tune, event is slightly raining at points, no issue for this car/tune. Car/tune is balance, stable, no real unpredictable behavior to mention, cheapest car option for the event but for the Ford Cortina. Tune is AWD, turbocharged, with Forza rear air, car is in stock classic appearance apart from ride height.

Have fun.

Because I like the trucks and other beasts (we should have more truck events aka Heavy Hitters and such) I decided to check my truck tune a little more.

I originally kept the stock engine and just put add-ons to it. Highest I could get was B657. This forced the AI to run Tankpools at B683...wasn't even aware they could get that low. Ran it at Expert just to get the win. Standard run is expert/pro based on type of car, class, and weather. It was slow off the line but was already passing trucks by the first turn. Finished well ahead so decided to run it against Unbeatable. Still won, passing the last AI around half track and putting distance after that. It also ran North City circuit rather well, for what it is. A lot of tight turns, but ample breaking, a little tail slide and you can keep your momentum up. Easy win there too...but the same anomaly that someone else had reported (WangKeRui possibly) with trucks in front of me crossing the finish line (going to Lap 2) disappearing as if they missed a gate...but 2 and 3 trucks at a time. So like what? Last track was also pretty easy. Get out in front and just keep the lead. And why have I never gone through the train tunnel before? Always over the top. Changing that from now on.

Then I changed the tune. Upgraded the engine to the 12-liter? I think. Why do they change the way they mark the Dyno chart? It is literally over the same RPM range, but with the engine upgrade, they condense the graph for some stupid reason. Kills the concept of comparison. Anyway. With the better engine, had to reduce the weight reduction making it over 5 thousand pounds heavier. But I got over 400 more horsepower and nearly double the torque. End result, definitely faster off the line. Instead of watching them all pull away from me then catching up, was nearly pulling away at the same speed...then catching up. So was able to put considerably more distance behind me with a higher top speed as well. The one hitch, though, is all those extra pounds make the North City circuit a bit tougher. It is sluggish through the turns, slides more than I would prefer, and requires more brake application. But, in the end, still puts it away handily...and this is at Unbeatable. Your main opponent is the track, not the AI.

I would love to see some A800 and possibly S1 900 races with trucks. Get some more variation as well as more competitive models. Pit the Iron Knights vs the Tankpools etc. I feel the Unimog will always be its own bird, though. Perhaps allowing in a Merc 6x6. K, working on that tonight. lol

As always, I hope this can be of any help to somebody, take care everyone and have fun, bb.

YES, your early posting of each weekly event has been a great help to me.
I've been going crazy driving this week's amazing tune that you released for the Trial.
No matter where I start, I'm usually in first place rather quickly in all three races.

I've been using your tunes for quite sometime and always read the little narrative you write. Including the tune's share code gets onto the track quickly.
Hope to occasionally join in some weekly events, while I'm driving the B700 for pure pleasure in my White/Black Mini. Get your trophy livery at 173 205 369.

Thank you.
