My 1st attempt at the trial has made me wish for a spectator mode in FH5, I have never seen 3 people end up so far behind everyone else and would love to see what these people are doing.

Had 1 other good driver on the team who DC'ed or quit after the 1st race so I followed suit, been playing since the game released and they are easily 3 of the worst drivers I've ever come across, I sure hope nobody else is unlucky enough to get them in a 5-player team, you'll have more chance of winning the lottery than that trial.

Edit: When I got that far I was thrilled to see the Goliath so nice one on that PG, 1st time I've driven it in a very long time and did ok, finished in under 10 minutes + everyone else DNF'ed so pretty good for someone of my standard.

This week seems to be connected with ... connection issues, my season also started with DC, so I restarted my router and all was fine after.
Trial went great 3x1st, 2:1 for team, I did try two cars, but decided for a bit slower one with more grip
S1 900 Aston Martin Vantage GT12, tune - 179 667 067
alternative Porsche Cayman GT4, tune - 120 332 373

Next on the list was 1950's car themed championship and being me, I went for grip, so car can struggle a bit on straights, but will pass everything on bends :)
D 500 Morris Minor 1000, tune - 123 005 148

Moving on to Rods and customs championship, where again I went for grip, so same goes for the car as on previous championship
C 600 Ford De Luxe Coupe, tune - 882 734 719

Last was Mazda themed championship, I was browsing trough my Mazdas and picked one that was already tuned, turns out it was meant for offroad, but did really well on road too
B 700 Mazda MX-5 Miata, tune - 127 031 218

PR stunts as always done with Agera RS for speed trap and danger sigh and Lego Senna for speed zone.

Then it was time for Weekly forzathon with RJ Anderson, I just slapped everything on, it doesn't really fit into any category, so didn't bother with saving the tune, but did use two custom blueprints.
Custom cross country circuit Riverbank cross country, with lap that can be cut very short, code - 195 054 041.
The Titam, with just driving a bit of a straight line, code - 314 579 714

Finished with this pic

So this what did it for me, hope it can be of any help to somebody else too.
Take care everyone, have fun and bb

This looks a really cool trial. First one in a long time I might run multiple times.

First attempt I got disconnected - seemingly as my own internet briefly went down, rather than any game issue though. Second attempt I only had two teammates and both quit during Race 1, so had a nice three races of me versus AI. Tried the Donkervoort and ran 3.04, 1.19 and 9.20. Not sure if those times are any good but gives something to aim for in future runs.

Man, the AI is agro this week. Erratic driving, ramming, shoving out of checkpoints.

And that's just the hovercraft!

I'm only slightly exaggerating. The hovercraft rammed me off the track and into a tree.

On the Trial, they corner-bombed me twice, were constantly ping-ponging around, and knocked me out of a checkpoint early on on the Goliath. It was nuts.

Got a pretty decent Morris Traveler D class tune for "Streets Ahead". (709 157 126). I'm pleased with it anyway.
And I used the '16 MX-5 for "Midnight Mazdaness”. (101 270 815) The tune is... alright, I guess. Got the job done. I might tweak it if I take it out again.

I am currently having a break from Forza aside from getting the weekly car. But a Trial with Goliath is very rare and thus I drove it 4 times yesterday. A lot of players seem to have huge problems with Goliath. Won 2 out of the 4 Trials but Goliath only once.

Didn't help the AI was buggy as hell, floating all over the place, "force-fielding" drivers who weren't even in reach. I was driving at least 50 meters in front of the AI and got demon-dragged into a fence.
Thus, my '08 Viper time isn't reliable: 9:07
Next fastest was the Camaro Z28: 9:05
Then the '16 911 GT3 RS with 9:03
Fastest the '16 Mustang with a 9:02 but I got held up there pretty strongly. Started last as RWD and had to slow down to avoid crashing into teammates.
Definitely a sub 9 minutes car.

Hello,

Cars/tunes/suggestions for this weeks online and PR events, for those that find such useful. All tunes are my own, unless otherwise noted, all shared by myself (or others). ~ tune name / share code. If you use anything offered here, and you like it/it was useful to you, please don't forget to leave a like.

Online:
**Trial: "Trial and Error" | Road Racing | (S1 900) Track Toys
**Car used: 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed FE (FE)
**Tune: S900 AWD FE / 285 527 952
AND/OR
**Car used: 2014 BAC Mono (Autoshow 160,000 Cr)
**Tune: S1 Games Rail / 153 624 733

A.I. shenanigans: This week I (because only know for my system) I found the offline/solo A.I. in trial testing to be be easier than that of the online trial - a first for me. The Bentley tune I used is a 1st / podium finish car offline against unbeatable on identical test tracks to those of the trial - it isn't an easy win car/tune, but it will finish in a podium position if not outright win. The actual trial itself is a different matter, here it is a midfield car/tune (against players I am not overly surprised, I am aware it is not the outright fastest choice), however it was midfield against the A.I. as well, I think I managed fourth place on Goliath (mostly because the tune can handle most of the later half of this track at full speed without needing to slow), less on the other tracks. Other noted A.I. issues/trial issues this week - as others have mentioned I also experienced worse than normal network lag, and as aptly termed by Rayne SE, I was, and I also saw players been 'demon-dragged' off the track from the A.I. in no contact/some distance situations. However the oddest behavior I noted from the A.I. was in the Goliath, maybe because it is longer, so easier to note - A.I. appearing off track (visible on the mini-map - no idea how they got there, was not always related to corners) by considerable distance and charging across fields until they rejoined the course -very very odd. End.
I covered my general experience with the Bentley above, I will just add that is is quite stable at speed, and has good grip - tune is AWD (returned to AWD, FE version is RWD), Bentley aero, and FE race tires.
I ran the trail again in the Mono, I did not try this car/tune offline, only online. This car/tune is setup for games at the railyard, as the name might suggest, and I did not adjust it for the trial, it is what it is - ran first on Goliath, 4th from 12th on the Horizon track after a major error on my part near the start, and podium on the other. Tune is rally tires, with AWD - this car starts at S1 900, so only so much can be done.

**Seasonal Playground Games | Quarry | (B700) Hot Hatch
**Car used: 2009 Vauxhall Corsa VXR (HTF)
**Tune: B700 Games / 122 058 572

Likely not the fastest offering, yet certainly one of the better handling/accelerating offerings due to grip. B class, avoid the water, really suffers. FWD, goes pretty much where you point the front wheels. We lost (yet 'won') during my games experience, however tune scored last to be infected, longest time as king, and most flags for our team. Tune is FWD, Forza rear air (P.I. cheat), with rally tires and suspension.

PR Stunts:
- Queen's Drive Speed Zone, 2018 McLaren Senna - using a tune no longer offered ('So Much Grip') by Don Joewon Song, I do not know how the newer tune for the Senna by DJS compares - listing here for reference and due credit,
- Coombe Speed Trap, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - 'PR Stunt Rally' (120 633 544),
- Ambleside Edge Danger Sign, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - 'PR Stunt Rally' (120 633 544).

Have fun.

I am either 4mph or 24mph too slow.

The required speed for this challenge is 133 mph. I used a Mosler several times and the maximum I could achieve was 132.7 mph. Very frustrating.

I was about to give up when I noticed a recommendation on YouTube for a Mosler with a tune by Piebald Cow called "Fly Away III".

Achieved over 138 mph first time approaching the speed zone from the North East and riding the wall at the end of the zone.

Interesting thanks Rayne. Yes, the forcefield did seem to be strong in this particular trial. I only noticed it when I was within the usual range though! The Donkervoort I used was also RWD but lacks the ultimate top speed for Goliath. I suspect it could probably do about 9.10 as my 9.20 was fairly lazy (and I don’t think I’ve ran Goliath since the last time it was in a trial) but it wouldn’t get down to 9 flat. Sounds like I need to try the 16 Mustang.

When a car is pushed off the track as if it had been hit by an AI car, but when there is no visible contact with that car. It seems to be a lag-related issue, but it makes it seem like there is an invisible force-field around the AI car which pushes you away. Hence, it's like a demon has popped up and dragged your car off the track on your way to the great below :)

+1 on forcefield being strong in this Trial.

Anyone else thinks that AI is sometimes too fast? I mean the cars are faster than cars run by players. To be exact I'm talking about 2016 Viper, BAC Mono and Ford Supervan.
Especially Supervan. Only place I was gaining advantage (I was in Supervan too) on AI was on braking zones.

Also why stock (rental) 2016 Viper is so slow? 2nd, 3rd, 4th gear it accelerates well and when You switch to 5th gear it just don't do it anymore. I can see that gears are long, but car with that much power stock should do better IMO.

If you're struggling with the Trial, use the Lotus Elise GT1. It has flat-out amazing acceleration coming out of turns and downright murders the AI. Even with automatic transmission, the car utterly dominated all three races. I managed to pass all AI cars within the second or third corner in the first two races.

I initially used the 2008 Viper and was pulling my hair out trying to keep up with the AI. They are just insanely fast this time around, and both Vipers just lack that acceleration needed to maintain pace. Switched to the GT1 and nailed it my very next try.

I used the Viper '08 and it was no problem beating the AI soundly. The tune I used (which I already had on the car) was 'GFR VS 1%' by Kaike Sykes.

btw I did 143 in a Mosler through the speed zone without wall-riding. (I actually forgot that there was no reason not to wall-ride but I was still in the mindset of online racing where touching the wall can slow you down).

Tried tons of times on the speed zone with various cars and tunes. No luck. Just a lot of wasted money. Unless someone has a good tune for doing it in the rain I'm done. The game makes it rain EVERY SINGLE TIME I TRY THIS SPEED ZONE. It's like it's done on purpose to see how long it takes me to smash my controller to pieces and drive my lamp through the monitor. Time to give up before I have to replace half of everything I own. Smashing everything feels great, but it's just way too expensive afterwards.

I used my usual rally tyre tune of the Mosler. It's definitely not the easiest of speed zones to do with it. I manage most of them on my first attempt, but it took me 3 attempts to do 137mph. I didn't wall-ride, though.

I used Nalak’s S2 RWD McLaren F1 GT for the speed zone, just as I happened to be in it whilst waiting for an online race. Shows how ridiculously overpowered that car is as I don’t think I had any problem with it at all.

I ran 9.00 in the GT1 in the trial earlier and 8.58 using it for Rivals, without having to fight through other cars (but with a few errors). Very quick car.

Whenever I am in windy/turny speed zones, I go to the VW #94 IDR Pikes Peak. I am currently running it stock. It doesn't have the highest top end (but you are only talking 133 mph) but the acceleration is excellent and the grip is insane, wet or dry. The grip is actually so much, it takes a little bit to get used to it so you don't go turning in too much. But it handles the Speed Zone easily. Took 138mph first pass, then went on to other things. I find I go faster from West to East but have to watch out for overshooting the finish gate. Going East to West allows you to be a little sloppy at the end and not have to worry about it.

Also the Aston Martin Vulcan is another good one. I have not run it on this zone yet, though will do it later. But it did help me during another speed zone where I needed massive grip

2018 VW #94 Volkswagen Motorsport I.D.R. Pikes Peak

2016 Aston Martin Vulcan

Good luck.

Very... I just tried in the Viper '08 and after a minute you were a speck in the distance. I gave up and tried the NSX, still only managed 9:16.

For speed zone I originally used my Lego Senna, but now went and used normal McLaren Senna, tune - 176 256 116, Hit 240 kph / 149 mph on first try, without any wall riding and in dry
Just run it in wet, 234 kph / 145 mph..

Think I'll go and play with tunes for Senna and Agera RS and see if I can came up with my own.
